It's so sad when you have the venue , the perfect location, the vibe and the staff but you don't have good food. This place is RIGHT on the water in downtown Plymouth. They had really nice live music. The menu has plenty of choices but when you can make a Cobb salad inedible you have really flubbed it. Pedestrian ingredients piled high above the edge of the plate still don't taste good. My chicken was raw in the middle and my wonderful server took it back but sadly returned with more undercooked chicken. My cosmo was pure vodka with a tiny tinge of cranberry and no contreau. I sent it back and got a cosmo with slightly more flavor. I always want places to succeed and this place could with the bomb with a few changes in the kitchen.

Such a great spot!! Great views of the harbor on the outside deck in the evening. The service was quick and plates were cleared so quickly, they were on top of it! The food was excellent and the specials were great too!

Ribs

First time trying this place, did take out. Paid $90 for 3 pieces of brisket and 4 fat cubes of burnt ends. Ribs were dry and also filled with fat. I'm very very disappointed. Almost $100 for a meal that is supposed to feed (I'm assuming) more than 2 people, 50% of it was fat and the sides are incredibly small for the family meal price. Even between 3 people everyone would get 2 scoops lol. Won't be returning. Cask and Pig in Westport is way better for better prices.

Great views of the harbor, a nice outdoor seating area. Live music was way too loud for the area and they also had different music coming through the speakers until someone asked them to turn it off. The food was good, not great. The pulled pork quesadilla was probably the best thing we ordered, the mac n cheese was definitely the worst. Crab dip and Brisket were very average. Service was very good.

Our server was nice and staff was friendly. The ambience was nice with a beautiful view on the water, with a gorgeous view of the boats. The drinks were good. Food was ok with very generous portions. There was a problem with one of the entrees, where the burger was rare and the manager offered something else and made good. The food was good but nothing stood out as spectacular. Clam chowder was good. Nice view and friendly staff!

"Scallop" pizza with 1-2 scallops on top

The location on the dock was supreme, so by proxy the service and food were subpar. They know they have the advantage of the great view. Came here on a busy weekend and waited almost an hour for our order for six people. Their tacos constantly leaked sauce and although the striped bass was said to be a special, there was very little fish and mostly spinach in the taco. Fries were decent but the sauce bottles ran out and the waitress was too busy to come by with another bottle. Flatbread was doughy, not crispy, and there was maybe four pieces of scallop on it for a starter of 21 dollars. I would've just gotten a Margherita pizza for half the price if that were in option because there was very little actual seafood. Would probably just walk around town and get food to go from the little shops if you're in town.

Painkiller - a must try

We first wandered in on a cold, rainy afternoon and were immediately charmed by the cozy atmosphere. The service was warm and welcoming, and everywhere we looked, steaming plates of comfort food were making their way to happy diners. The cod Reuben with sweet potato fries was outstanding, and the clam chowder was exceptional. In fact, after trying chowder at six different places during our trip, my husband and I both agreed this was our favorite by far. The shepherd's pie looked incredible as it passed our table, but we'll have to save that for next time. The only real downside is the limited parking, but it's a small trade-off for such a wonderful spot. If you're in the area, don't miss this hidden gem!

Unfortunately, we left pretty confused about where the 4.5 stars are coming from. We were seated quickly, and the staff was genuinely very nice and welcoming. We had a booth, although it was oddly high and uncomfortable for me at 5'3" because my feet could barely reach the ledge. Service was pleasant, but after we ordered, no one really checked in on us. Our table tried quite a bit: the Reuben, classic New England cod, another cod and clam dish, clam chowder, and a pretzel. The clam chowder was probably the highlight. It had good flavor, although I would have loved more actual clams. The wine was mediocre. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was about a 5/10 for us. Nothing was terrible, but most of it was surprisingly bland and just not memorable. My cod and clam dish was especially disappointing. It came with four very large clams, but one was completely closed and should never have made it onto the plate. The cod, potatoes, and other ingredients were sitting in a pool of cream sauce, yet somehow the dish still tasted underseasoned. It felt more like something I could have steamed and put together myself at home for a simple, healthy weeknight dinner rather than something I'd be excited to order at a restaurant. Maybe we caught the kitchen on an off day, because the consistently high ratings made us expect much more. We specifically chose this place based on those reviews instead of going somewhere with a view and slightly lower ratings. In the end, we got neither the view nor particularly good food, which was disappointing. The kind staff and clam chowder were the bright spots, but based on our meal, I personally wouldn't rate the overall experience anywhere near 4.5 stars.

Bartender handled the whole joint on a Saturday lunch. -- Patty Melt: Nice straddling between traditional and innovative. Brisket patty, neither thick nor thin, with a soft grind, cooked showing pink (I asked for medium rare if possible). Bacon-onion-jalapeño jam with some zip and bacon saltiness and bendy texture. Caramelized onions with a hint of sweetness. Partly-melted American cheese. Griddled marble rye with unnoticeable butter. Not perfection, but an enjoyable mix of flavors and textures. -- Fries (with the patty melt): Thin, crunchy shoestrings, aggressively salted, in assorted lengths. -- Quinoa Bowl: Bright flavors, good textures, per my wife. -- Ginger Soda: Made in house, string Ginger flavors, not too much sugar. Very good, though at $7, it's gotta be something you're certain you want. Solid experience. Hard to get a full picture without trying more things, but good enough to try more. And many good options for vegetarian dishes and mocktails.

Good thing she left the bill in the glass so I could pay for my one premixed cocktail and go after several failed attempts to get her attention. Our server was unfamiliar with the menu. When asked what type of marinade was on a dish her response was "just a basic one", she had no idea and did not offer to find out. Our server did not stop by to find out how our food was until we were almost finished with our meal. I had to flag down a busboy to request a condiment. My lobster roll was the worst I've ever had. Anywhere. I've lived on the east coast for 50 years so I've had a few lobster rolls in my life. I've never had one that was warm with butter but also crispy and dry on top. The meat was mostly the tips of small claws, had no flavor and was really tough. There was a good amount of meat in the sandwich but it was unpleasant to eat. When the server finally bothered to stop by she offered to replace it but I was done with the entire experience at that point. The restaurant was not full so there is really no excuse for the poor service and food quality. Please don't waste your time and money here.
