*Part 3 Of 3* 2/1/25 THE MASSAGE EXPERIENCE: Once I dried myself off, I tried to put on the tiny woman's robe again, but the results were a nothing doing. In the end, I wrapped the robe around my waist and headed back into the room I started in. I could have saved myself the time and trouble by walking back to the room B.A.N, but that would be considered inappropriate and I probably would have been seen if I had. I saw no one walking back to the room. Back inside I saw i had missed a largely section of water still on my body. Drying off the water, I choose one of the massage beds that could be set up for couples massage. Personally, I prefer the solo experience of a massage. It's a me time thing. Once on the table, I found myself sandwiched between the fabric of soft sheets and a thin, but warm blanket. As a precautionary measure, I used my towel a a barrier between my naked body touching the sheets. It's just something I do at most Massage Establishments. I don't like putting my face in the face cradle, because people cough while in them and germs and viruses have a way of coming home with the new host. I either use a face barrier or don't use the face cradle/hole in the massage table. If i am asked about why this is, I normally say "I am claustrophobic" and that end the questions for that discussion. Some time passed between laying on the massage table and the next person who would be doing my massage. The Massage Therapist turned out to be a lady named Jen...at least I think so. Jen did not waste much time once in the room. She started with the preliminaries of needing and probing to loosen up my tight muscles. This seemed to take a while and I am not sure how much time was used out of my "50 minute massage." 50 minutes is not an hour massage and its very...oh, well get to that. Jen ended up climbing on to the table doing what I call The Cat Massage. She used her knees, arms and body weight to massage my upper and lower body. I found this enjoyable while it lasted. Once the preliminaries were over, sections of my body were exposed from the sheets to be massage. Jen followed her training of draping for a professional massage therapy session. Jen massaged the arms, shoulders back, glutes, legs and feet. This cover the 50 minutes and did not include the face and front of my body. The massage was okay, but I did not feel completely satisfied at the end of the massage. My body had only had moisturized by massage cream onto half my body. I spend time getting the other half of my body up to par before getting dressed. I still think 50 minutes is not enough and felt incomplete. It like the Baltimore Ravens performance of failing to achieve a superbowl appearance from 2018-2024...depressing and incomplete. Maybe I should follow Kratos's advise of "Keep your expectations low and you'll never be disappointed"...as far as the playoffs are concerned...but I am digressing here. I felt like Strider Hiryū running down the ramp on my way back to my vichele. Thoughts were running through my head. All and all the $210 not including time was a bit pricy, but worth the body scrubbing and Bath for $130...If one chooses that as an option. You also get ten bucks off of you are paying in cash for whatever service you aquire. Keep in mind, it will most like have to be above $60 to get this $10 discount. "I could be wrong now, but I don't think so." I will be back here to do this again, but with the things I talked about in this review. I will have another updated review when this happens. Oh, and the missing ten minutes out of ACTUAL 60 MINUTE MASSAGE can make a significant difference to that individual. You might want to look into that. not a sermon just a thought. read more

This is such a hidden treasure and I'm mad I didn't find it sooner. I regularly get PT for a bad shoulder and have had high-end massages at various places in DC, and this was simply the best. I feel incredibly relaxed after a sports massage and I was impressed with how nice (and cozy) the spa was. I'm very excited to go back and get the soak and sauna, but strongly recommend this to anyone looking to relax or address a chronic ache. Wonderful service and very kind staff. read more

Love this place! The first time I went was through Groupon and that can only be used for your first visit. I'm not sure if they still have the Groupon but I had a great experience. I even took my mom here for her birthday and did the couples massage. I believe there is even like a bath and sauna so they have the full thing going on. I usually get massages by the guy and he is very professional. The first time you go they have you fill out info on your pain areas so it can be a focus but do the full body eventually. Make no mistake- it's going to be painful at times especially if you have a lot of knots like myself but by the end you feel great. They give you water after your massage and they accept both cash and card. Covid procedures: they sanitize the room before each person and all the staff wears masks and gloves ( on and off) depending. It's a small shop so it is appointment based. After visiting several times I just text them now for appointments and it's never been an issue for me. They'll let me know what they have available. read more

Went with my husband to give him a nice spa for his birthday, and we could not be happier ! The privacy, the value, the attention, we felt relaxed as soon as we walked thru the door, and loved the entire experience. 10/10/2024 I booked the 90min spa 2 option and received my confirmation email. I arrived 15min before my appointment time to be told they were not expecting me and they missed the email because "they are just a small business" I asked them what's the solution? The manager asked me if I would take a facial instead of the 90min scrub+massage. I was like I paid for a specific service and that's what I want. I was simply told come back another day like my time is not valuable. I gave them a chance to make it right and asked what they would do to make up for the inconvenience and the manager Judy didn't give a sh*t about screwing my evening because they are just a small business. This place has fake reviews to bring customers, which is why I took the time to alert new customers. If you happen to have a small problem with them, it is on you because they think being a small business is a good excuse to treat people like crap. Keep in mind that the customer's time is always valuable and when you drop the ball, you need to make it right. Just come back another time is not a solution. read more

Such a lovely, peaceful boutique spa! If you're looking for a large, busy spa, this is not for you. It's very private with only one, maybe two, clients at a time. They're focused on you, so you receive individualized attention and treatments. I had a massage, scrub and sauna treatments. All felt amazing, but it was the massage that was the most incredible - probably the best massage I've ever had. I have neck issues (spondylitis) and a shoulder injury from last winter - I felt good afterwards, but it was the next day that was incredible - renewed flexibility, improved posture, I could even visibly see where swelling was reduced around my lower neck. I cannot say enough good things about The Green Spa, and plan to go back for more massages and to experience a facial. read more

I am surprised this place has such good reviews! My experience is that this place is a total scam. I called to book an appointment 3 weeks ago, and they confirmed I had an appointment for that Saturday. I called back to confirm a couple of days prior and they told me I was mistaken and that the appointment wasn't booked. A total lie. I then rebooked it on the phone and they told me they were 2 weeks out and it had to be on a Sunday, fine whatever. They TEXTED me back to confirm, which was a little weird, I didn't agree for them to text me but whatever. I called back that same day to confirm. Today is finally the day of my appointment after waiting 3 weeks, I texted back to confirm because they don't pick up the phone, and I am told that I never confirmed it even though I CALLED!!! I am soooo incredibly mad. What a way to scam people, I bought a Groupon for this place so I have already paid for the massage. Perhaps you shouldn't advertise yourself on Groupon if you aren't going to honor it. So unethical and unprofessional. read more

6 stars if possible. We have been to many spas at top resorts and this one was by far the best. Judy and Vera did couples for my elderly parents as well as for my husband/ me. She was extremely accommodating and the best part was the massage itself. We like the sports level massage and they delivered with a chiropractic element in her style. And the effort they put into it was amazing. Noticed alignment issues w my husband and my dad as well as neck posture improvement guidance for me. It was very therapeutic and invigorating. This place totally came through in a clutch. I'd made an appointment with another business and when I arrived they didn't have me on their books *insert eye roll*. It just so happened that a friend of mine had a massage a day earlier and raves about it. Luckily for me I was able to call this establishment immediately after leaving the previous business and they were able to fit me in *round of applause*. The initial customer service over the phone was on point. I arrived at the location and the underground parking was a breeze. I was unfamiliar with where they were located but decided to walk up the stairs and the aroma of peppermint guided me to the door. I was greeted by name with smiles and started filling out the paperwork which took about 5 minutes. I was led to the massage room to change and then I received the most amazing massage from Gregory. It was exactly the way my roommate described. She said she felt like the masseuse totally stretched her out and she felt taller when she left. I didn't have any problem areas just wanted to be pampered a bit and this was totally it. During the massage there were essential oils sprayed in the air which created a zen environment. After the massage ended the owner came in and asked about my experience, gave me a water and explained the other services they offered. We also spoke briefly about the referral from my friend. I paid using their iPad and I was on my way. This place totally turned my frown into a smile, I will definitely book again. read more

WARNING! It is not in my nature to bash small businesses, especially in this challenging economic climate where so many small and medium sized businesses are struggling to stay alive. However, I recently had an extremely poor experience with Vienna Green Spa, and feel that I have an obligation to post a recent and accurate review describing my and my guest's ordeal. I was drawn to this establishment due to the fairly high number of positive reviews, but realize now that many of the reviews appear to be from friends and family. I contacted Vienna Green Spa for a $400 spa package gift for my sister and her husband, who were visiting from Los Angeles. They are both avid spa-goers, so I figured a relaxing day at the spa would do them good after their long flight. When they returned home from the spa, I noticed that they were acting a bit strange, and when I asked how it went, their only response was that the experience was interesting/different. This was not the response I wanted to hear, so I asked them how was it interesting/different? My sister, being the kind and considerate person that she is, said it was fine, thanked me again, and quickly changed the subject. Several days later, as she was preparing to return to Los Angeles, she told me that she was a bit conflicted on how to handle the situation - whether she should tell me what really happened at the spa or not She finally decided to do so, as follows. Feeling that the massage was not what she was accustomed to, or sufficient to relieve her tension, my sister requested that the masseuse apply a bit more pressure. The masseuse thereupon abruptly stopped the massage, stared at my sister threateningly, and then proceeded to accost my sister in a very aggressive manner, yelling and flailing her arms wildly. My sister's husband was shocked and felt compelled to jump off his massage table and intercede. The owner, hearing the commotion, rushed in finally and escorted the masseuse out of the room. When the owner returned, she apologized for the masseuse's behavior and attributed her unacceptable reaction to a bad client earlier in the day. The owner then asked if she could personally finish the massage. Although my sister and her husband did not want to be there a moment longer, they decided to allow her to complete the massage, because they didn't want to return home earlier than expected and thereby reveal that my gift had been spoiled and turned out to be a huge disappointment. I've had several text exchanges with the manager/owner of the spa (Judy), since the incident, and was offered a complimentary 60-minute massage. When I refused her completely inadequate and unacceptable offer of another massage (not only insufficient compensation for the wasted $400 and traumatic experience, but neither I nor anyone in my immediate family enjoy massages). When I countered with an extremely reasonable request for a refund of only $200, the spa manager/owner ended all communication. read more

This spa is definitely a hidden gem in the Tysons/Vienna area. I didn't know what to expect with buying a massage off of Groupon, I'm so glad I came across it. At Green Spa Massage I had the chance to experience a Thai style massage. This particular style incorporates stretching and pressure point triggers. My lower back feels brand new again, I felt refreshed and rejuvenated. I definitely recommend this spa to anyone in the area. This place seems small from the outside, you need to climb up the stairs or take the elevator from the parking garage. Inside staff were very welcoming, they go through everything from where your room is, to what to expect, they have a private sauna which is nice, they give you everything you'll need from robes, towels and slippers, the massage here is more stretching and reflexology, I enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back. read more

This spa looks simple from its exterior facade, but once you are in, the look and feel is better many times over. It wasn't that far from my place so I decided to give it a try. The place is very clean and my therapist was very polite and communicative. The massage she provided was above average certainly. I don't have any negative comment as everything was fine with me. I had an AMAZING experience at Vienna Green Spa!! I have a lot medical issues and compensatory pain/issues since it has been so many years, and am in excruciating chronic pain. Physical therapy and massage therapy are helpful, but costly - especially when I have to go more often due to my unique health issues and pain leave. My regular massage therapist is off work right now due to an injury, so I was in dire need to find another place; so I purchased a few Groupons for local massages. And, I am SO HAPPY I used this one first at Vienna Green Spa!!! I had such a good experience, I may just return/refund the other 3, and use the money toward appts at this location! :) I had gone to the website to scope it out, and then emailed to make an appointment. Judy responded quickly was super helpful, and personable. I had emailed because I purchased a 60-min massage, but wanted to pay the difference and get a 90-min massage; and she happily allowed it. She was quick to reply each time we emailed back-and-forth, and I never had to wonder if I would hear back to finalize/schedule etc. Judy answered all of my questions and welcomed them. I arrived last evening and was greeted happily and so politely. She was even more personable than I imagined, and was kind and complimentary. The waiting room and massage rooms are absolutely beautiful!! EVERYTHING was so CLEAN and the interior decorating was just gorgeous!! The décor and lighting were just right and felt soothing, just as the manager and massage therapist were as well. When I complimented the beauty of the spa, Judy was very humble, flattered, and appreciative. And thanked me for taking the time to notice and say something. ****** I can honestly say, due to my ongoing health issues and excessive 24/7 pain, I have had like 100-150 massages in the last decade... AND THIS ONE WAS THE BEST BY FAR!!! ****** Greg's massage technique was so amazing, that I am unsure how to describe it except to say that he (voice, demeanor, etc.) was comforting and soothing, but not awkward considering we just met. His technique was very unique!! The only way to explain it is to say that It felt so methodical, yet I know it was spontaneous in regard to him changing and developing the massage as he learned my body and issues as he went... I have a VERY hard time relaxing, especially with a new massage therapist, BUT this time was different. He was able to use his technique, breath, and voice and allow me to relax enough that I received much better benefits from the massage. Greg was personable, but not overly chatty. He was the PERFECT mix of both, and still had that calmness and strength to give an amazingly helpful massage. After my appointment, I walked out and was seated at a comfortable bench and given a bottle of Fiji water... I was happy this also allowed me to talk with Greg about the massage and compliment his work and discuss my major issues/reasons for massages like this - and he was able to share how he could see how much pain I am in and that it was one of the most unique/difficult cases he has seen in someone my age (41). He was humble and so appreciative of my compliments and that I took the time to explain that he was able to touch on ALL of my issues AND able to use his very special technique to allow me to relax, while also giving a VERY deep massage that also included reaching and stretching muscles that even my Physical Therapist and other massage therapist have NOT been able to truly reach!!! He expressed how happy he was to hear me say that!! I had a GREAT experience, and would definitely refer others to this place. Before I left my appointment, I made 2 follow-up appointments with Greg for 90-minute massages. Due to the high costs of things like massage/PT, etc. I ONLY continue with pain management IF it is helpful and worth the cost... AND THIS PLACE WAS!! Greg put in more effort than I had ever imagined considering he had JUST met me and did not know my body (or my entire history) and he worked on me like he knew everything. And he even made extra effort to help me relax, knowing how much pain I was in and seeing how my body instantly clenched in reaction to being worked on. I am SO SORE TODAY from my massage last night, but I know the soreness is a GOOD thing, and I know that everything he did was helpful and beneficial. Even his lotion/oil techniques were on point, and he did NOT skip a beat or trail off at all during the entire 90-minutes. He made me feel like the priority and that even though I am a VERY hard case and hard work for a massage therapist, he was focused and determined to make me feel comfortable and better!! So when we scheduled our next two appointments, he made a point to schedule me a certain times so that he would not be rushed with me (knowing I am a unique case), and also so that he would be rested/fresh when I arrived since he knows he needs the extra strength for such a lengthy, deep tissue, and active massage. read more

I enjoyed my experience at the Green Spa. They were able to fit me in on short notice so I got the massage and body scrub. Everything seemed clean. The music was soothing and very relaxing. The masseuse worked on my trouble areas and kept checking to make sure I was okay and that the pressure was not too much. The private bath soak was enjoyable albeit HOT and the body scrub was actually very relaxing. Being my first korean scrub, I wasn't sure what to expect. WOW! Greg gave me one of the best massages (if not THE) that I've ever had! His hands were sensitive, therapeutic, sensual, and respectful. We had verbal communication prior to the massage, so I had a chance to tell him what I wanted (rather than just indicating "problem areas"). He asked/notified me before climbing on to the massage table, and used his knees to loosen up my glutes and buttocks, which are not painful for me (thus I don't consider "problem areas"), but are tight from the walking I do. Most massage therapists don't spend much (if any) attention to my butt and surrounding area. The work Greg did was entirely respectful, therapeutic, and enjoyable. I felt very safe. Additionally, Greg's work on my lower back ELIMINATED MY LOWER BACK PAIN FOR 5 days!!!! No massage therapist has ever done this before. The sauna was a fantastic, relaxing addition; they provided a shower to remove the sweat, complete with complementary soap and hair care product; and I am soooo looking forward to coming back for another sauna and 90-minute massage experience soon! Based on a personal recommendation from a friend, I booked Judy for my first ever full body massage. I was delighted to find out there was an option to request help with pain management which is an issue for me. The location is easy to find as well sign posted and I was greeted by Judy whose energy was professional and caring. She provided me with a questionnaire to complete about where in my body I was experiencing pain (similar to ones I've completed when starting PT) so that inspired confidence that she would address my concerns appropriately. The premises were immaculate. Judy was able to help with the particular areas I was experiencing with pain by clearly communicating and listening to my feedback. Time for an update: My husband and I have been coming to here for six months and every visit has been fantastic! After trying out many different spas, this is now the only place we go. Judy performed my first sugar scrub and I absolutely loved it. The room is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Because the treatment requires a full body rinse, you are provided with disposable undergarments. You lay on a comfortable massage bed and the scrub is massaged into your skin from neck to toes. The sugars are rinsed off and your body is left feeling exfoliated and moisturized. I following it with a fantastic massage from Greg (and at the risk of being totally cliche) I left feeling like royalty. read more

This place is amazing! My friend bought me the massage as a gift and I traveled ~40 mins with traffic for it. I had an early 11:30 appointment. Didn't have any waiting time and was seen right away. The place is very therapeutic, clean, and smells really well. The staff was very kind. My massage had the right amount of pressure and she kept checking on me to make sure everything was okay. The way I left feeling was just magical. I've had very tense lower back pain and she helped me relieve a lot of it. It was such a wonderful experience. This place is such a great find! I am so happy I discovered this location a few months ago. When I was in severe neck pain, they were able to get me in that day and work on my neck. After that I have been able to call and get appointments very easily and they are so accommodating with whatever is hurting. Yesterday my mom and I went for massages and it was so wonderful. For the first time I wasn't in pain and did a fully relaxing massage from Greg. My mom is always very nervous about massages because she gets dizzy sometimes but she absolutely loved her massage from Judy and is willing to travel the distance just to come back to this spa. Love the environment, smells and music. It's a perfect little oasis. I can't wait to try a scrub next. read more

Tucked away in Vienna behind Bazin's on the second floor is a gem of a massage place. My massage ended up being over an hour and oh my goodness was it absolutely amazing & relaxing. The place itself is immaculate, clean, & modern. The only thing is that the walls are a bit thin so you can hear when customers come in or people are walking around. This doesn't bother me, but may disturb others. I will definitely be returning! 5 stars across the board. read more

Rare Find! I love, love, love this spa. It's rare to go to a spa where everyone is good and the price is reasonable. It doesn't matter who you go to and they are all great. I've gotten a facial, a massage, and a couples massage. All with different therapists and all were great. The spa is small and pleasant. It's hidden away with ample parking. Facial - was good, basic, no extractions, includes massage of head, face, décolletage, shoulders, neck, just a bit of arms & hands Massage - adjusted to my preferred pressure, just the right time spent, in each area, works the kinks out Couples Massage - same as above, but also walked on our glutes - was amazing! worked out knots I've had for years - wonderful! the room was pleasant - we both enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. On one hand, I don't want to tell everyone about how great the spa is because it'll get too popular, but we also want them to flourish. Greg is a PERVERT! He gains your trust just to betray you and have you question yourself as to what just happened. I have been getting a massage with Greg for over a year and everything was fine until this last visit. Greg touched me inappropriately several times. When confronted all he would say was "I'm sorry". I even mentioned it to the lady whom I believe is the owner and she dismissed me saying "oh no he didn't mean to" I am extremely disappointed and needless to say we will not be going back to this spa ever again!!!!! read more

Overall it was an ok experience. This was our first ever couples massage for my husband and I. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the lady who was giving my husband a massage dropped peppermint oil in his eye which hurt like hell (after that it pretty much ruined our experience) but I was really disappointed that she did not come out at the end when we were paying to apologize to my husband in person (as a professional should do). Gregory (the masseuse) worked on me and did a good job but when my husband got oil in his eye he was in a way giggling which was so rude and unprofessional. I won't be coming back here. read more
