    Birria tacos

Came here after a long day of traveling in which our bags were lost by our airline. Immediately felt so much better after coming here! It's a fun, open space in a great location. Service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and sympathized with us after we told him our day. We had chips with salsa and guacamole - all delicious! Also tried a refreshing nonalcoholic mojito and it hit the spot. Birria tacos were juicy and flavorful. Best tacos in Lagos! Would love to come back!

Food was great ! Service was excellent! Ambience was very inviting and authentic to the food they serve ... Definitely would come back to his place if we were in the area ever again

Ok, to begin with we are all from San Diego and know good Mexican food so believe me when I say we were all blown away by how good the food was here! The guacamole was tasty, salsa a little sweet and not too hot, black bean dip tasty and chips fresh and crispy. The chicken enchiladas were loaded with nice chunks of chicken, the birria tacos were full of melted cheese and delicious beef with a au jus. Fish tacos were fresh and tasty, and the veggie plate was very good. Their sangria was full of fresh fruit and juice. The staff were great and we found out they had a connection to Ponce's a restaurant we know at home. That earned us a shot of tequila to finish our meal

Great Mexican restaurant steps from Tivoli Hotel. Tried several easy in a weeks span.

Was disappointed.. I ordered a chimichanga.. I got three small ones and they had rasins inside.. Only thing I liked about this place was they're piri-piri hot sauce and their drinks where strong.. Other than that not really Mexican. More of tex-mex

One liter of vino verde for €9? Yes please. While waiting for a table at Casinha do Petisco, The Green Room was the perfect surf inspired oasis in the middle of a gritty European cobblestone street. It was something right off the boardwalks of any Southern California party locale, but situated in downtown Lagos. You wouldn't come here for fine dining, but if you're hankering for nachos, burritos, quesadillas, et al., they've got you covered. We weren't in the market for grub, rather a pregame cordial to get us warmed up for the forthcoming dinner to be had in roughly 40 minutes time. Blame American educator's lack of respect for the metric system, but 1L of vino verde seemed like a totally reasonable option for two people before dinner. Boy were we wrong. It was a massive amount of wine that was nearly impossible to finish without binge drinking. However, accessing a full liter of cold, refreshing green or white wine for just €9 is pretty impressive. Had we known what we were in store for, we'd have opted for the 1/2 liter for €5. Any way you slice it, The Green Room is a fantastic choice for a cheap night out.

This place was recommended to me by local expats. It is apparently owned by new zealandish people. All in all i was not super very convinced. One can definitely go there and it some standard Mexican burritos, quesadillas etc. they are tasty but nothing special. The only thing i was really excited about was the Daily Tacos with Cat Fish. The Fish was awesome and gave the food a local Flavor. If you really want to have decent Mexican Food, go here. But it will not be the best and most authentic Mexican you will ever eat in. The outside seating is pretty cool and on Wednesdays they show Surf Films that could be fun.

Veggie nachos were hands down the best I've had in my life. So many toppings, all of which were delicious. If only I could say the same for my burrito. It was not horrible by any means, but it was just average. Guacamole was expensive in my opinion - a small container the size of a watch cost 1.00 Euro. I also got my food packed up to go since I couldn't finish it and they forgot to pack my guacamole. Sucks since I barely ate it and it cost so much. The other crappy thing about this place is that they don't accept credit card and they do not allow you to split your bills. This becomes a problem when there are three friends who all ordered separate dishes which cost different amounts. The waitress was unsympathetic, stating that she didn't have enough change to give all three of us our own bills, and that we would have to "figure it out ourselves". Other restaurant staff were very friendly though. The decor, the wait times, and the veggie nachos make this place worth the four star review.

Burrito bowl- unseasoned, uninspired, and unsatisfying.

A welcome change of menu during our 2 week stay. Delicious, and good beer as well. I recommend the Marafada Algarve pale ale.

AWESOME MEXICAN!!!! Had dope chimichangas and the missus had a burrito bowl. Big servings! The shared nacho plate looked mean as too.

The sangria was interesting, in a good way, and had multiple liquors, fruits and a dash of lemonade.
