I'm not usually a fan of the ex-pat side of holidays, but there's an atmosphere at Habana where you just feel at home. That, and it's only a few steps from the beach, meaning there is little walking, perfect for the lazy holidays. The menu is comes in various languages and many of the staff are bi-lingual, though usually with English as their first. I tend to go for the chicken salad baguette or, if I'm feeling really naughty, a hot dog. What I really love, to be honest, is that nothing comes with sauce - salad and sandwiches both come plain, meaning I don't have to be the fussy person, asking for no mayo etc. Expect plenty of children running around and people, somehow, tucking into a full English in the Portuguese sun. There is free wi-fi and a webcam on the frontage, meaning you can be spotted by any family members who want to be made truly jealous!
