Ruibal's Plants of Texas - October 2025

Pumpkin patch with skyline views of Downtown Dallas! What more can I say?…read more We visited in October 2025. Different sizes of pumpkins were available along with all types of plants. 35 photos/vid should be included, although I'm pretty sure Yelp won't post them all with my review.

My first trip here was amazing. They had so many plants it was hard to choose which one I wanted. I…read morewent with a pathos because it was a really good deal for the size. Turns out it may have been because of the quality. I purchased it on a Sunday. The middle of that same week the leaves started to yellow and I wasn't sure what was wrong with it. It was only a few leaves so I didn't think anything of it. As the days went by it progressively for worsened. Almost 30% of the plant had turned yellow in less than a week. I called the store about it and they advised that I could bring it back and swap it for another plant. So I swung by the next day and they said the same thing "you can pick out another plant". They have several plants of different varieties. Not once did she specify that it needed to be the same exact plant. I brought two other plants both equaling to the same value of the pathos I purchased and was advised that I had to get a pathos in exchange. She proceeded to blame me for the state of the pathos. She tried to insinuate that I watered the plant too much and condescendingly tell me that it should be watered once a week. I informed her that I hadn't watered the plant until that very day, 8 days from the original purchase date as a curtesy, which is irrelevant as the plant began yellowing only a few days after I purchased it. As I explained this, she was shaking her head insinuating I was lying. Then when I was done, she proceeded to verbally express this sentiment. This service was shocking. I've never had an employee place the blame on me in this way. I was initially only disappointed by the state of the plant which deteriorated by the hour, but the response I received was infuriating. I did end up switching to another pathos but I have no confidence this one will fair better than the last. Since she advised me that if this one has the same issue as the other they would not be able to do anything, I'll just have to dispute it with my bank

I had another company do it for $250 took 20mins. Generally there's warrantees when you buy palms (or at least they will work with you on giving you discounted trees for the ones that they gave you that died or be accommodating in some means) we bought a few costing in the thousands. All of our palm trees had died that we purchased from them (if I remember correctly, they were $3800 apiece?) My husband just talked to the company and they said they won't replace anything because I left a bad review!!!!!!!!!!! so I guess I'm being black balled literally because I left honest review!!!!! we own several businesses ourselves never would I ever even think of treating a customer in such a unprofessional and honestly resentful way. Like is this guy really trying to take revenge on me for my honest review?! I have a social media following about 100k more lifestyle, content, tho I've never left a review about a business on my personal social media page I Definitely am going to leave one now and warn my followers of my personal horrible experience with this company. he literally admitted he's not doing anything about it because I left a bad review i'm in shock that A company can be so vengeful and unprofessional. (sidenote, after reading reviews, it looks like I'm not the only person having this issue unfortunately)

I can't say enough good things about Covington's Landscape. Last year I checked my entire sub…read moredivision and found one house that was the absolute best and found out that the yard was done by Covington's. I called and had the good luck to get Tracey Lively as my consultant/designer. Tracey and her crew did a wonderful job of re-doing my landscaping and also gave me great information on how to maintain it. Her followup was just this last week and they made a good thing even better. I want to compliment Tracey and her crew, Hector, Eric and Adan who all were professional and hard working. I wouldn't call anyone else!

I…read moreinitially started conversations with them in Fall 2025 and we developed a beautiful plan that included reshaping and expansion of my front flower bed. We also decided that late February was the better time for installation. Through these initial conversations, my designer was great. Easy to get a hold of, super nice and friendly and just very easy to work with. As we got closer to February, I decided I wanted to keep my flowerbed shape and size. Well, that meant my project was less revenue, and that's when service went downhill. I asked for a redesign to keep my flowerbed at its original shape and size. If expectations were set up front that it would take as long as it did to get the new quote, it wouldn't have been an issue but this designer consistently promised dates and deadlines that were never met - and I had to be the one to follow up every single time. When the designer finally responded to me (multiple texts and a couple calls just went unanswered), it was mentioned (for the first time) they have a dollar minimum and after I asked to leave my FB shape/size as is, I would be under that minimum. We were now just a few weeks out from my install date so I was very frustrated. I finally had to call the owner to complain about the continual promises for a new quote that continued to not get sent my way, and now this apparent minimum that was never mentioned previously. The owner was great and assured me I'd have the new quote within two business days and that he'd waive the minimum for me given my poor experiences thus far - and I finally received the new quote as promised. Install day came around and some of what was planted wasn't even what we agreed to in my quote. Now knowing what I know after working with a new nursery designer, some of what was planted shouldn't even be getting full sun which they are - so naturally, those aren't doing well and need to be replaced. I would think this is bare minimum for what a designer should know. Sometime after the install date, I reached out because I felt the FB looked too bare when I wanted it to look full (and I realize the plants still had a lot of growing to do). They agreed to add a few more grass plants along with additional ground cover to fill up space. All three grass plants died within days, and the ground cover looked so randomly placed, it looked like a child did it. Plus, The ground cover is supposed to be a shade only plant and has been getting full sun. This is in addition to the fact that they had to replace a skyline holly tree twice within just a couple months. And the new grass plants they added weren't even the same varieties as the others and looked wildly different in every way possible. After the second install where those additions were planted, I was really unhappy with it all. I repeatedly reached out to my designer to try to figure out a plan and it was pulling teeth AGAIN to get a response. I know people are busy, but there's zero excuse to not even take two seconds to send a text. There was at least two instances where they were supposed to come by to discuss issues and my disappointment with the finished work and completely no-showed, not even a text. If I did this more than once to my clients, I wouldn't have a job. She finally came by one afternoon to discuss a plan but at this point, I'd had too much disappointment and lost trust in this designer. I never received another quote as discussed (which sadly I didn't even expect to at this point), so I just gave up and called Calloway's and paid to work with a new designer. Sadly, I feel as if my project was simply too small for them to warrant decent customer service from the designer. I've attached several photos of my FB, which looks like work I could have done myself - or any other non-professional. It just looks terrible. The first several photos are after the first install, and the last are after the additions. Extremely disappointed, but I'll reiterate that the owner was great.

I didn't do that, but it seemed like the options were endless. I did purchase a beautiful pothos plant . But they have baby goods, stuff for pets, funny and kitschy journals, mugs, posters, jewelry, clothing. So really, you could spend quite awhile browsing.
