Everybody at my table and the restaurant got their order. I had to go up to the bearded bartender to ask where mine was at - it had been sitting there over 30 minutes and he straight up told me forgot where it went. No big deal as he ordered a fresh one for me.. Fast forward and the bartender was talking to his friends next to my table when the order came out and I watched that 2nd burger sit on the bar for another 20 minutes while I tried to get him to get it. Ok, here's the deal with Grease Monkey - the burgers are great. Like, really great. And sweet potato tater tots? Fab. I know the concept is a little out there the first time you go, but once you know how it works, then.. well... you know how it works. To be honest, it's not that complicated: order at the counter, find a place to sit and go get your burger when it's ready. The end. They don't waste food by loading your burger up with a bunch of stuff you're going to scrape off - instead, you go back to the seating area and you put what you want on it. That eliminates the possibility of your burger coming out messed up! It seems to offend some folks that they'd have to get their own onions or pickles. I'm on the other side of this fence because I like loading up on pickles, HATE seeing onion anywhere near my food and I always end up scraping off mayo that burger places love to slather on even after I say to leave it off. Doing it this way makes me happy, control freak that I am. And I'll grab a refill when I need it, instead of waiting for some waitress overloaded with too many tables to do it when she gets around to it. I personally LIKE not having to tip someone for mediocre service. I'll do it my damn self! This place is awesome for live music on the weekends and it gets LOUD, but that's part of the draw! It's a burger joint, it's a bar, it's a local music hangout, so you gotta embrace it for what it is. If you have your kids in tow and you want the atmosphere of Applebees, well, go to Applebees! If you have your kids (or your college buddies... or your middle age pals...) in tow and you want live music, great burgers and a beer, then boom. You've found your place. read more

I had the roasted red pepper burger. The bun was too thick for the patty, making it difficult to keep the sandwich together. The fries and the patty were much too salty. I had a headache for much of the afternoon as a result. The veggie bar wasn't very fresh. The lettuce looked dry and old, and the tomatoes were almost gone. For the price, it really wasn't worth it. This is going to be a great place to hang out with friends and neighbors. I had the red pepper burger and onion rings. The burger was hot, juicy and had a nicely toasted bun. The burger tasted great and I really liked the onion rings. The rest of my group had the standard cheeseburger and their only complaint was that the burger was too big. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and it was very family friendly, but the bar looks great and it would be a good place to watch a game with the boys. read more

There were less than 10 people in the place. From order to delivery was 32 minutes to prepare 2 burgers. Really? When I got my burger, the bottom bun was soggy from condensation or grease sitting on the paper in the serving dish. Fries didn't last as long as the burger. My wife who never takes anything back returned her Union strings because they were cold. On the up side, the burgers were huge and really good. I'm old school, greasy burger so I wrapped mine in napkins and ate it. Would we go back? Probably not. Last time we ate here, it was just OK then too. For $28 for two burgers, there are much more enjoyable experiences. read more

Very disappointing to walk in at 6:30 and see more than 12 sporadic tables open and not be able to sit at them because they are reserved for numerous different reasons. Most of them at 7:30 or later. How ludicrous. I've never seen a bar and grill reserve tables, especially on a busy night like a Friday. We have been loyal weekly patrons until now. Looks like we will taking our business to one of the many other places that run like a real restaurant should. read more

Burgers are pretty good, esp the bun! It has a sweet taste to it that pairs well with the fries. Bartenders could use work on pouring bc I get a different amount of liquor each time but their prices are good and so is the food! The manager is super cool and is down to hang out with you. My hubby and I love the Grease Monkey. We've been there twice now and enjoy more each time. Their chicken fried hamburgers are SO good, according to my husband. He now craves them once in awhile! I like the regular cheeseburger with all the fixins. Very tasty. We really enjoy the live music they offer frequently. Great musicians. Laid back atmosphere. Went on a Saturday night. There was live music (two guys with guitars) and a sports bar type of atmosphere. Not the Applebee's kind of sports bar, more like a local hamburger shop kind of place. Big screens all around with games on. The burger was out of this world. The band was a little loud inside (to the point that it was difficult to talk to someone during a song. The bacon burger here was AMAZING!!!! We got it with every cheese but blue cheese and it came out on bread that had garlic butter and toasted and the burger itself was so juicy. I thought it would have been greasy from everything but it was minimal grease and an over load of juiciness. We also got the sweet potatoes fries and they were really good, didn't need any sauce on them at all. We will definitely be coming back. read more
