There are stacks all over the store of receivers, tuners, turntables, and speakers. The owner, Moses, was super friendly. He was helping some other folks when we went in, so after he was done with them I asked him for his advice. I didn't realize that meant he would spend almost two hours with me, showing me what equipment he had. He really seems to know his stock back and forth, pulling out names of speakers that were under stacks and insisting that he'd love to let me hear them if I wanted. He told me about the speaker designers, the characteristics of each brand, and what kind of sounds would be emphasized with each. He insisted that every piece of equipment was fully checked when he brought it in He laid out all my options, within my price range, for the styles of music I listen to, and preferred making me listen to different speaker combinations rather than describing them to me. This took some time to attach and detach each set from the receiver, but I really did learn a lot about what the different speakers sounded like, and which brands have similar profiles. Ultimately, I was happy to have a guide that was patient. I didn't anticipate spending so much time to do so, but I don't regret it at all, since it is an investment. I found a set of speakers that I love (after listening to about 10 different sets) that should be perfect for what I need. Ultimately, I think I maybe paid a higher price than I would have gotten on ebay or craigslist for my speakers, but Moses was ridiculously helpful and patient with me and was happy to give me the information I needed. I'm also sure that the speakers are in good working condition - which is worth a lot as well. I don't know about the repair aspect of his shop, but if you want to buy some modern or vintage equipment, Moses can hook you up.

When I poked my head in back a guy there said he was a customer I told him good bye. As I began to drive off a bewildered man came out with a phone pressed to his ear and kept apologizing he was on an international call. I showed him my envelope with $1500 cash that was going to be used in a purchase at that time. Then he says its not about the money. What is it about then Ecotopia? Is it about being all alone in a store with nobody to help because they are on international cell phone calls? Please I will not be back, ever.

Always at least three sometimes four people working and they get to you fairly quickly. On my most recent visit I was looking at the color palate wall and within a minute I had a sales associate come up to me asking if I needed help. So no complaints from that perspective. Relative to the paint they sell, I have used this paint for over thirty years on my house where the cedar exterior has been painted maybe five times during that period and the entire interior numerous times as well. The paint is really an excellent durable product where in particular I am a huge fan of the Duration line. The quality of the paint you get at this store is significantly better than what you would get from the Home Depots and Lowes of the world and on par with Benjamin Moore. For exterior applications I will only use Duration for the longevity you get from the paint versus the competition. Aside from the paint, they also have a full line of professional grade brushes, rollers, poles, ladders, trays, ...etc making this a one stop store for your painting needs. Overall a good store with a great product. Highly recommend.

Will never return. Corporate knows about the poor customer service based on their response below on a review from 5 months ago... clearly they have done nothing about the issue because 5 months later and I have experienced the same exact treatment as the reviewer below. Suck a joke.

So I went to the store to talk to them but they lost all the information about my installation order. They don't own up to their mistakes and when I was leaving the owner asked me, "are you just wasting my time?" Funny, but there was another unhappy customer there while I was. Don't use these guys.

1/22/2025 Mark and two gentlemen arrived on time to install our ventless gas logs in our fireplace…read more The guys put drop cloths over our newly tiled floors, brought in their tools and the accessories and began work. They used a 3' long drill bit to bore a hole thru two block walls and natural stone lining our fireplace built in 1958. They simply don't build fireplaces like this nowadays. Since we didn't have a mantle we chose a 60" long concrete mantle that went with the design of our home. They ran the gas line and assembled the burner, logs and decorative rock. Afterwards they showed us how to operate the remote w/a thermostat and also showed us how to operate the system manually. These guys were friendly, professional and pleasant to visit with. They tidied up and were off to their next job. The process started at 8:10am and finished around 10ish. I would recommend you give them a call if you are interested in ventless gas logs. We are happy with the service and sitting next to the additional heat gazing at the fire is nice and cozy on this cold January day.
