After I removed it, I found that most of the block support behind that was also loose or missing. I put in a call to several contractors for quotes. Brickworks was the first to respond and came up with an innovative repair plan. All others immediately said the whole porch would need replaced at almost 2x Brickworks quote. Decided to take a chance and was quite pleased. They repaired the structure, installed new fascia brick and were able to salvage some flagstone pieces to repair the surface of the porch. Everything was coated with waterproofing. However, when they were done they did an amazing cleanup and even repaired and seeded a few sq ft of damaged grass and reinstalled mulch around the porch. You would never have known that they were there except for the fact that the porch looked amazing. This work was done last year. It weathered great during the winter. I've always meant to post a review but never got around to it. I'd get a guilty feeling every time I'd see their trailer. Today I couldn't take it any more and just had to post. Would recommend them without reservation!

Ive been trying to get a call back for two months and no matter how many times I call it's the same thing, I'll have someone get back to you, it never happens and frustration is now at a high. 75% of my chimney is 70 years old and looks great but the work they did is beginning to show major signs of wear and tear. Now I understand why they only offer a five-year warranty!! Customer service is horrible and craftsmanship has a lot to be desired. My fault I guess for thinking I hired a reputable company.

Our first contact was with Ross, our salesperson, and he immediately set the tone for the entire experience. Instead, we felt like we were working with someone who genuinely wanted to help us make the right decisions for our home. Then there was Travis, our Project Manager, who was outstanding throughout the entire process. He was always available to answer our questions, kept us informed, and never once made us feel like we were a bother. No matter how many questions we had, Travis was patient, responsive, and incredibly helpful. What really impressed us, though, was the level of personal attention from the ownership. One of the owners, Ryan McGlinch, actually came out to our home himself to measure the door frame for our new front door. He then took the time to go through our entire project with me in detail. The journey and process to get to agreement, then completion, painful too often. And completion of details difficult. Thus a C+, B- rating. I wish that I had all good things to say and writing this critique was unnecessary. Some of several aggravations. The roof was completed in a day by many Mexican immigrants. Project included installing roof vents. The vent tubes were not attached at the fans -- Despite assurances from the supervisor that it was definitely done. NO THEY WERE NOT. Thus required request and debate with the company for follow-up. Their service man came and said he completed. NO THEY WERE NOT. A year later, condensation formed on the ceiling. Requiring repeat call, visit. We received assurances that the third time they were now properly connected. This is the most basic of very important work. I do not understand. Not difficult to do - for someone with reasonable skills and honest effort. The siding took 3 months. The workers tried to complete a lot of work on the final day. They left the porch filthy and muddy. Final Hardie plank trim that was not properly painted by Hardie. Not done by McGlinch. Requiring me to paint. They did not properly reinstall flood lights. The contract agreement required increasing soffit ventilation. Despite following up 5 times, to my verification, completion unverified. Disappointing. It can be a challenging world. Our hope was a fourth generation company would have made things far easier and that we were in good hands, we could have relied on them and they were looking out for us. Their own quality assurance. Is that too much to ask.

Mike showed up and was able to diagnose the problem, clean the fireplace and fix the problem, and was in and out of my house within an hour. The cost was $400, when I called on the phone they said costs usually started at $200, but this was fine by me because I believe he had to replace a part and do a bit more work to get the fireplace to work. They do take credit cards and there are no fees to use one, also. Based on this experience I would absolutely use Ace Fireplace again if I was having fireplace issues.

The installer, Drew, arrived on time, was respectful of our home and didn't damage anything. We contacted All Brick Design in mid June to discuss the work that needed to be done and get a quote to do the work.  We signed a contract and were given a date of mid- August to do the project.  It was estimated that it would take about 4 days to do the work.   Just as promised, All Brick Design came in August and completed the work in 3 days.  The new stone work in the front of the house, as well as the new paver  patio in the back yard looks great. We would highly recommend All Brick Design to any of our friends needing any kind pf brick or stone work done.  We will definitely use them again when we need any more work done. We have tried shopping at Lowe's, Home Depot, Costco, empire, etc. and the quality and selection (and value for the money) is just not there. Ps karistan is the best brand of carpet, in my opinion. It's beautiful, it's soft and it holds up well with regular cleaning (modernistic). We had an off-white carpet for 17 years with children and pets and other than a few spots, it's still pretty amazing. lastly: great value for the money. They have good sales. A tip: consider going for a mid grade carpet in the highest grade padding! Unless all you care about is truly lowest price, you will be very very happy with Riemer floors.

Bought second floor carpeting after living with Karastan for over 30 years with no problems, just…read moreneeded a change in color. The nightmare begins, during COVID time frame carpet laid turned out to be from different color lots, manufacturers agreed to replacement. The second carpet was laid with a "shear" defect, that is a grove cit into the middle of carpet that looks like a one inch racing stripe. I asked how can this happen, didn't anybody at Reimer look at the carpet rolls prior to installation ? I guess not. Reimer offered a "settlement" which I foolishly accepted because being near 70 years old, I couldn't move all the furniture on the second floor for the third time. The problems soon started with the second carpet, ripples started to appear. it seems going forward , Riemer was going to charge to come out and look at ($75) the ripples and than charge for the repair. They have been out at least three times for ripples and over $500 dollars to take care of this issue. It seems to be a great profit stream because it was poor installation from I read on Google. just to add to this, areas that they had to de ripple, seem to be holding. but now the ripples are going to new areas . I feel like ripping out the mess and starting over with another merchant, I can't believe it's worth the money to have a endless cycle of restretching. Truely don't know what to do.
