I was having trouble with our lawn and a neighbor suggested that I go to the Grass Store. Our neighbor said that there was a schedule of items to put on our lawn that would revive it and his lawn looks great. So I popped in to the Grass Store for help. A very nice lady named Cherie was a whole world of help. She was able to provide some really good advice as to how bring back our St. Augustine grass. I purchased some fertilizer, followed the instructions and it seemed to help right away. I continued with the recommended schedule that Cherie suggested and within 9 months my lawn had healed from the damage from the bugs, grown thicker and greener and I also had better control on the weeds. I wholeheartedly recommend this family business to repair your lawn, keep it healthy or just improve on what you already have going. The service is outstanding and they actually know what they are doing. In addition to this service, they also sell mulch, rock, stone, sand and gravel. I have an up coming project and will be purchasing some sand and stone from The Grass store this fall to help with it. Stop in and check out what they have to offer. I called to see if they sold aod by the piece. The person on the phone said yes and gave me prices. I went there to get about 10-15 piece but when the lady showed up she said they sold-out. There were 2 obvious pallets that were not full and were being sold by the piece. This happen to me last year at the same place. I just read the other 1-star review and they had the same issue. I will not go back and will make sure that my community Facebook knows about this and will out this on other formats. Terrible place. Is give them 0 stars if I could. read more

If you're thinking about buying grass at Home Depot or Lowe's, don't do it. GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!I called ahead of time and Shiree answered the phone and said they had plenty of St. Augustine grass. I only needed 50 pieces but ended up buying half a pallet because you couldn't beat the price. Trey loaded up my car for me and I was on my way! I was in need of about 60-65 pallets of St. Augustine and had talked to many different people. I called Curtis at The Grass Store and was shocked at how reasonable his price was. They delivered the first 40 pallets and got it all down in one day. His crew was great! They cut holes for the irrigation system that was already installed and made sure the ground was smooth before installing. It was extremely high quality sod with a very thick black dirt base. I did not have any that died after it was installed and actually needed to mow within 2 weeks as it had taken and grown so quickly! I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Curtis, his team and their product! read more

I talked to a gentleman on Wednesday about picking up a pallet of grass and he took my name and number saying it would be available at 8am Friday. I was led to believe it would be there to pick up as I called exactly at 8am. He said yes they had grass but there was already a line of people to pick up and it would be gone very soon. I thought I ordered a pallet but this is first come first serve. I was never told that and now no grass and a big whole in front yard. Sucks! No communication!! Update: called again and told them how pissed I was since I was leaving town for a couple of weeks and that they need to communicate better. They apologized and they pulled a pallet aside out for me to pick up. Thank you! read more

I called and placed my order for 2 pallets of grass several days prior to my desired pickup date. I took off work several hours early and drove 1 hour to the Conroe location to only find out that my order was unavailable and no one ever bothered to call me and ket me know. I am extremely disappointed and will never use them again, but I did go to J&J Nursery in Spring and they fixed me up with fresh pallets of sod. read more

This whole process started over a month ago. We attempted to buy grass one Saturday but there was none left. A female worker said they sold all grass over an hour before we got there. There was one pallet still sitting there, but she said that that was for someone else to it already paid for it. We asked to reserve a pallet of grass for the next delivery and she stated they do not reserve grass. The following Saturday we attempted to get grass however they said they didn't have any due to the rain. We again left empty-handed. That next week I emailed and called and spoke with the owner. He stated the price of the pallet, and I asked if I could pick some up that coming Saturday. He expressed that they would be closed due to Memorial Day that Monday. Today we woke up early to try or attempt to get grass again. We arrived early saw a truck of grass and thought we were in luck. When talking with the owners, they stated they do not sell grass on Saturdays. Even though we have been working with them every Saturday for over a month. None of this was ever communicated through email calls or face-to-face when we have seen them. For the fourth time we have left without grass. For this place to be called the grass store and yet they refuse to sell grass, it is slightly confusing. I would have loved to continue to do business with this place since they were family-owned however due to all the confusion and the constant changing of rules of how to even buy the grass we will not ever be back. read more
