They also have a wonderful selection of pots and gift items to choose from. I did not get a chance to see everything but I will try to next time. I did buy some wonderful flowers. I planted them right when I got home. They are looking great!!! Some people say they are pricey. For me they seem to be the same as every where else. The cashier was nice. One thing I will mention: they do charge a fee of 3% on credit card charges. If you pay by debit or cash no extra fee.

I hired out my loyal lawn maintenance…read moreman (since 1999) to purchase and lay down topsoil & St. Augustine grass sod for me . . . yes in the middle of hot July in Cypress, but it is raining almost every afternoon here. My lawn specialist has done business with J & J Nursery for years & years. He purchased the sod by phone to reserve the 1/2 pallet to complete the job. He arrived at J & J Nursery to pick up the sod and noticed immediately that it was yellowing and seemingly half dead, complained to J & J Nursery about the quality and they continued loading onto his truck telling him "the grass was fine, good quality grass". He arrived at my house where I refused to allow him to install grass in such terrible shape & condition. He called J & J Nursery back to ask for a refund or to replace with better condition sod and they flat out refused a refund or replacement. I spoke with the salesman myself from J & J Nursery and he quoted "the customer is always right" & "we stand by our product" . . . but still refused to resolve this issue . . . "too bad, he shouldn't have let us load it onto his truck". I ask you What VALUE is dead grass replacing dead grass ???

I came here in on a soil run. I needed some potting soil I came to buy 3 bags since I know I'll need more later this year. I usually just get the bags then go inside and pay but this time I went inside first. I was met by the guy here, I'm guessing the owner. I've never really conversed much in my previous visits, I just bought what I needed and left so I never met anybody. Anyway, they had some fresh fruit in styrofoam cups on the counter and I was asking about them while buying my soil so he let me try some. Everything tasted great & fresh so I decided to buy a cup of blackberries. Paid for my soil & blackberries. He did something strange. He poured my blackberries out of the cup and into a thin plastic bag with nothing else protecting them. I was concerned but didn't ask which I regret because sure enough, some of them got mushed otw home because they were just in a thin bag on my seat. Even from the grocery stores they come in a container. Then after I paid and was on my way out, he said "I'll go get the bags you need. Just backup and I'll load them." I thought that was weird because I didn't ask for help getting my soil and have always gotten them myself all the past times I've been here. But I'm generally not a confrontational person so I just left it alone. Sure enough, he gave me the worse bag he could find on their pallet just to get rid of them. Two of the bags of soil got some green stuff at the bottom like they been sitting there way too long and one of the other bags was busted open and spilling dirt by time I made it home. These are bags I probably wouldn't have grabbed myself so I'm sure he was happy to "unload" them on somebody. I don't like dealing with aggressive people and though I used to frequent here and live relatively close by, I'm not sure I'll return. They may have just lost a return customer.

So disappointed with the Customer Service and treatment by Manager Amy with Southern Tractor. We…read morepurchased a Stihl weed eater from Ace in Willis 8 months ago and the unit would not stay running. It would start and work for 1 minute and stop. Ace Hardware Manager told us to take it to Southern Tractor that they perform Warranty for Stihl purchases from Ace. Also, Ace told us that the Stihl Warranty covered any issue for the first year up to and including replacement of the unit. We then took the unit to Southern Tractor and the gentleman that helped us took it and said "Oh yes, any issue would be covered by warranty". We received a call from Southern Tractor telling us the unit was ready - no mention that there would be a charge. My husband went to pick up the unit and was told, that it required a carburetor adjustment and the charge was $55.00. Manager Amy at Southern Tractor, says that they had to adjust first before they can find out if there were any other issues - no other issues - so they say we are responsible for the adjustment fee of $55.00. Amy was also very rude on the phone when I called to discuss. I do not recommend Ace Hardware for lawn equipment or Southern Tractor to perform work. Remember the warranty on lawn equipment is not worth the paper it is written on.

I finally was referred to Garden Accents by a handyman and could not be more pleased with their expert skill and customer service. Stephanie was very helpful and clearly outlined the steps/ cost to repair and install the fountain. Anthony (her husband) and his assistant had to drill a new hole in the fountain, add another piece to make it functional, and set it up beautifully! I couldn't be more pleased having this lovely fountain fully functional, from being in pieces in my backyard for six months. If you are looking for a company that is extremely knowledgeable on fountain installation, operation and maintenance, this is the place!

Stephanie and her family, Jeannine and Bob own this company. Stephanie, apparently allows her husband to control her customer service at her company. Stephanie is young but she will realize in time that her husband is not an asset but a liability to her families company. I will never buy from this company again. This company is having some financial difficulties right now...it is winter and the Covid-19 Pandemic. I purchased a fountain from them on Monday, Dec 07 and picked it up...(no, offer for delivery) on Tuesday, Dec 08. I put this fountain together myself. No offer from the company after spending $350.00 for a small fountain. My spouse and I have spent over $1500 with this company. Apparently no respect for good customers. I put the fountain together perfectly...all by myself. Again, no offer from the company to assist. "Horrible customer service". I called the phone number given to me and who answers....Stephanie's horrible husband. He couldn't have been more rude. His response to me was that there was going to be a charge of $250...then reduced down to $150 ....then reduced down to $75. He stated that minimum charge would be $75 for simple 10 minute leveling of the fountain. Very simple process that requires pennies or plastic leveling tabs. However, he went one step further to state that if he had to put the fountain together again then it would be $150.00. What an incredible asset to this company. NOT. I'm 5 miles from their store. They could easily have stated that they would come over for a good customer that has purchased 4 fountains/statue from them and that they would do this for free. Again, it's a 10 minute fixe for a professional. And, again, I've spent a lot of money on this company. Stephanie calls me and tells me that she can offer me a substantial discount on the fountain. This tells me that the company is not doing well financially....and, of course not, it's winter, Covid-19 and a poor economy right now. I felt sorry for the company since I've got more money than anyone should have right now. I've no had no financial problems during Covid-19, in fact I got a 15% raise during this time. I thought as a "goodwill" term that I would buy from them because I liked Stephanie ... not because the price was incredible. It actually was higher than the price I had paid for the large fountain that I had purchased prior to this one. Her husband is a technician for them. Technician may go to far. I'm not even sure if he has a college degree. All, I know is that he mistreated an exceptional customer who was doing them a favor. And, he felt this would be a good way to make some extra money. What a joke. And, what incredibly horrible customer service. I have done hiring at my company and I would never hire this guy. After speaking to him for 30 minutes on the phone, I realized that I had made a huge mistake speaking to him. He even stated "how did you get our personal cell phone number"? I told him that Stephanie had given me that phone number. Is this customer service? If you need to hide something, then I can fully understand that question. I will never use this company again and I urge all customers to never buy from this company again. Stephanie, Jeannine and Bob (Owners) are incredible. I called Jeannine, (Stephanie's mother). Otherwise, I will use every review site possible to disparage this company. My father is a lawyer and County Judge. At 79 his is still on the Texas state board and is still a Judge. He is stating that a lawsuit would be the only way this company would be forced to understand the way I feel. He feels that a lawsuit would be the best avenue to let this company know how serious we are about the problems with their son-in-law. He is absolutely horrible and should never be allowed to answer their phones or have anything to do with their company. He has absolutely no customer service skills. I'm ashamed for Stephanie. She can do better. She is such a sweet woman and has obviously married someone who can cause her problems....as he did with me. Again, I'm only 5 minutes away...and this could so easily have been taken care of by offering to come by and level this fountain for free. To state $250...then $150...then $75 says a lot about him. Stephanie, I hope he has a real job. And, please don't allow him to ruin your family's business. I wouldn't allow my spouse to do this either. JUST SAD!
