5/25 Update: Reducing my review to 2 stars due to continued poor follow-through and disappointing…read morecustomer service. Prior to posting my original 3-star review, I had already made multiple attempts to rectify this issue directly. For context, my baseline purchase was $4,000, and we had planned to spend an additional $5,000 (totaling $9,000) to add 15 Myrtle trees once the fencing was completed. Thankfully, we now know to take our business elsewhere. Before I posted the 3-star review, I was told by Austin that the manager, Bret, would be reaching out to me. That never happened--so I went ahead and posted the review. Only after that, on Monday, 5/20, did Bret finally text me and schedule a call for Tuesday, 5/21. He never called. I had to reach out at the end of the day and was met with the same excuse I had heard before: "We got so busy." That excuse was also given the last time I communicated to ask why no one had contacted me in the first place. In my text response, I clearly said I had given them every opportunity to make things right, but it was evident this wasn't going to happen. At that point, I requested a refund for the items that were ordered but not yet delivered. Bret finally agreed to issue the refund via text on 5/21--but as of today, 5/25, I have yet to receive it. In the meantime, I've sourced replacement roses from another nursery. I originally asked Moon Valley to retrieve the incorrectly colored roses that were planted despite my specific communication. I've received no response or direction on that matter, so I'll be relocating them to the wooded area behind my home. I want to reiterate that Austin and the planting crew did a good job with what they were tasked to do. Unfortunately, management's lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic follow-through has turned what could have been a positive, long-term relationship into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal. As of today, still no refund. Side note - Austin you need to open your own business. You will ruin your credibility with this company. Original Review Here's why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5: Austin, the salesperson, is the reason I committed to this company. He selected the best plants for my yard, provided thoughtful advice, and offered excellent service--he absolutely deserves 5 stars. The planting team also did a great job with the three trees, 21 shrubs, 3 roses, and 1 potted Calamondin tree, so I would give them 4 stars for their execution. I'm deducting one star for the crew accidentally hitting the AT&T line during planting. While it caused inconvenience, I understand it had rained the days before and the orange marking was likely faint--so I can be fair about that. The biggest disappointment--and the reason this is a 3-star review--is with Moon Valley's inventory, planning, and poor communication. I was never notified that the full order wouldn't be delivered on May 13, and I only found out from the planters on-site. The roses that did arrive were the small size (I ordered big at $65 a piece and look big when I saw in store - see photo on what I got planted - is that big to you?) and wrong color (pink instead of white). What made this worse is that the rescheduled planting for the missing items was pushed out nearly a month, with no effort to prioritize us on schedule to rectify their inventory issue--despite it being due to their own poor planning. Great sales experience and solid planting work, but the lack of communication and accountability from the rest of the company really took away from what should have been a smooth process.

Great selection of organic materials for the commercial, landscapers or DIYers. Depending on your…read moreproject you can shop at the big box stores which provide for your average needs, but if you are doing any kind of private landscaping, gardening or want the exacting standards of quality materials with low environmental impact then local businesses like Nature's Way Resources is the way to go. For this project, I aerated and dethatched part of my front yard and it was in need of a good base layer for the soil to recover; in addition to, landscaping a front patio area. I ordered 1 1/2 Cubic Yard Leaf Mold Compost, 1/2 Yard of Landscaper mix, a few Black-eyed Susan, a Mexican Sage bush and some other pollinators. Due to the time saved from gathering all my materials from this one location saved me $$$ and I was able to complete the project in a weekend. If your need is not as expansive they offer bagged soil for smaller needs, but to get the best value I would partner with a fellow DIYers with pickup trucks and order loose materials or have it delivered on site. Nature's Way Resources also have a big selection of mulch, compost, fertilizers and offer a Green Waste Recycling program. If you read this post to the end, I will let you in on a little secret.....they have a rock garden in the rear where contractors and DIYers dump material not needed and you will find some gems for FREE. All you need to do is sign a liability waiver at the front desk and recommend you have some sturdy steel toe boots, gloves, and watch out for critters.

I used to like these guys. I've actually been here numerous times in the past to buy soil and…read moreplants and frequented here a bit last year and have never had a problem but today, they entered on my "do not like" list. I came here in on a soil run. I needed some potting soil I came to buy 3 bags since I know I'll need more later this year. I usually just get the bags then go inside and pay but this time I went inside first. I was met by the guy here, I'm guessing the owner. I've never really conversed much in my previous visits, I just bought what I needed and left so I never met anybody. Anyway, they had some fresh fruit in styrofoam cups on the counter and I was asking about them while buying my soil so he let me try some. Everything tasted great & fresh so I decided to buy a cup of blackberries. Paid for my soil & blackberries. He did something strange. He poured my blackberries out of the cup and into a thin plastic bag with nothing else protecting them. I was concerned but didn't ask which I regret because sure enough, some of them got mushed otw home because they were just in a thin bag on my seat. Even from the grocery stores they come in a container. Then after I paid and was on my way out, he said "I'll go get the bags you need. Just backup and I'll load them." I thought that was weird because I didn't ask for help getting my soil and have always gotten them myself all the past times I've been here. But I'm generally not a confrontational person so I just left it alone. Sure enough, he gave me the worse bag he could find on their pallet just to get rid of them. Two of the bags of soil got some green stuff at the bottom like they been sitting there way too long and one of the other bags was busted open and spilling dirt by time I made it home. These are bags I probably wouldn't have grabbed myself so I'm sure he was happy to "unload" them on somebody. I don't like dealing with aggressive people and though I used to frequent here and live relatively close by, I'm not sure I'll return. They may have just lost a return customer.
