Lots of bourbon trailers spend time hanging out with locals and getting rare bourbon you can only get in Frankfort, KY. This is the oldest bar in Frankfort and has an impressive collection of bourbon brands, and even the rarest of the rare- Pappy Van Winkle collection. They also have bar food and the best chicken wings in town. I like the Bourbon Glaze and Garlic Parmesan wings. The bar has been completely remodeled with nice clean bathrooms and new staff. The new workers seem to love their job and enjoy sharing local bourbon lore with the out of towners. I like to watch movies on the big tvs and sometimes they put on old shows to watch at the customer's request. There's pool that seems very popular and a touch tunes that's always playing the hits.

The bar opens at 2pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday- as well as noon on Saturday, so there's plenty of time to get a late lunch or watch the football & basketball games. There's a mix of locals as well as fellow Buffalo Trace bourbon trial tourists coming through so it's always a good time and you meet people from all over the world. When it's nice outside I like sitting on the patio. The Patio side and The Brick Alley side are connected and are the latest bars open downtown so it's a fun spot for pool, live music, even keno.

The waitress is helpful and friendly. I just wanted some wings and she helped me take advantage of the BOGO wings reward via the app. Very kind of her. As I wait for my order, I can't but help be annoyed by the music. It is way too loud for an empty restaurant. And the music choice is more for a party, not for 2pm on a Tuesday. I considered leaving but stuck it out. I'm still waiting on my order of wings. I didn't order anything else and the place isn't busy, so why are these taking so long? Still waiting. This is crazy. Well they finally arrived. I got the honey BQ. They were good but it wasn't the glaze I was expecting. Either way, they were good. They came out good and hot. I'm not sure I'd come back here, but for today, it was fine.

This place is a little different for a sports bar, but in a decent way, chill and fancier vibe than a normal sports bar. I had a burger and fries, burger was very good, when I say a good burger, it alone was worth the visit, fries were fries, I just don't like these type of fries. If in the area and looking for something decent you can't go wrong, well at least I didn't on this visit, will go back for sure. Hope you enjoy as I did.
