The Brick and Bourbon is a fun spot for tourists and locals alike to enjoy drinks all day until the late hours of the night. Lots of bourbon trailers spend time hanging out with locals and getting rare bourbon you can only get in Frankfort, KY. This is the oldest bar in Frankfort and has an impressive collection of bourbon brands, and even the rarest of the rare- Pappy Van Winkle collection. They also have bar food and the best chicken wings in town. I like the Bourbon Glaze and Garlic Parmesan wings. The bar has been completely remodeled with nice clean bathrooms and new staff. The new workers seem to love their job and enjoy sharing local bourbon lore with the out of towners. I like to watch movies on the big tvs and sometimes they put on old shows to watch at the customer's request. There's pool that seems very popular and a touch tunes that's always playing the hits. read more

I have always loved this place. But tonight blew it. Your bouncer chose the wrong customers. We paid our $112 bill but won't be returning. He chose to kick us out stating we were causing a scene because our religion didn't match his. It's a bar. Get over it. Side eye to you too baldy. Last time you get our business oh by the way to the owner, we've never had a bill under a $100 at your establishment. Big loss. Thank your bouncers religious beliefs effecting his work like. We caused no scene. We're given FREE access to the Bluetooth by the bartender. And the bouncer took offense. None of us drunk. None of us belligerent. Food and beer. Fuck this place. read more

Short but sweet experience here! Lots of locals, clearly having a great time, contributed to a a great vibe. Great space for live music, game day - you name it! I enjoyed the Poison Apple Cider, which was your choice of whiskey with apple cider, and perfectly proportioned. Yum! Might have enjoyed better warm but it was a great flavor. My boyfriend ordered a pour of the Michter's U.S. #1 Toasted Barrel, and really enjoyed it. Our only qualm here was the very sweet bartender - who wasn't overwhelmed at all - had a hard time locating the bourbon because she claimed to be "blind as a bat," which then hindered us from wanting to order anything else, lest we feel like a hindrance to her. If you're looking for a nice dive bar, a place to play pool, throw darts, have a beer or cocktail and listen to live music then pop in the Brick Alley. Prices are reasonable, bartender is friendly and the cutest doggie mascot. We enjoyed ourselves and if we lived in Frankfort we'd be back to listen to one of the bands playing on the weekends. read more

So I was walking my 1 year old German Shepherd downtown and was jonesing for a cold beer. I stopped by the Brick Alley, and Mike and his friends could have made me feel more like a part of their family. My one beer became three as I sat out front and chatted with my fellow patrons. Was there on 10/08. The woman with the black hair was a great bartender! Love her. The man cooking, working when the black hair bartender was out, was a jerk for no reason. We asked his name and he said "Sid" but he thought about it before he said it so my friend said "it's Sid?" and he said "sure". A little later we ordered two vodka cranberries and 1 lemon drop. He said "I'll make the vodka cranberry but I'm not making a lemon drop" my friend said "oh, you don't have the stuff?" And he said "we do, I just don't feel like making it". My friend then said "the balls in your court, we'll take whatever you can make" and he said "all I make is water". We just stared and were super confused. He then said "I can make a Vegas bomb" we said sure and he said "do you even know what a Vegas bomb is?" We said yes and he started making it. A little later our boyfriends asked how the lemon drop was and we explained the situation. One of our boyfriends went back up and asked him for a lemon drop again because the woman with the black hair was super busy and running back and forth to serve everyone. He said he isn't allowed to make drinks. He said we just saw him make drinks. He said he has never made drinks. He had literally just made our drinks. Our boyfriend walked back to the table and "Sid" followed and tried to explain that he never said he wouldn't make a lemon drop and that if we really wanted one he would've made it. He never said that to us. He just said no and then didn't give any other suggestions to us. Again, LOVED the bartender with the black hair and it seemed like a nice bar. My three friends and I visited this place with a very hopeful attitude. We were happy to be there to say the least. Within 10 minutes, we were accused of calling the bartender a "queer". Due to the false accusation, we could no longer partake in Pappy's, as that was what we were interested in. read more

Loved this place! They had live music (the female lead singer was amazing), pool tables, and I got a Blue Moon for $3.50...WHAT! You cannot find drink prices like that in Chicagoland! Also, they serve mixed drinks in big blue cups...SOLD! There was a $5 cover to get in...Im assuming its because there was a live band, so Im not sure if this is a regular price. We had agreat time playing pool and listening to music. We went around 10, and there was a nice amount of people there, definately not too crowsded. Check it out!! read more

This bar is awful, disgusting, a rough crowd on the weekends, and poor facilities. The drinks are respectable, but enjoy squirming up to the bar to get one, a task that prevents you from wanting to get more drinks by going through it again. If you also enjoy people who are over served and reckless, inevitably leading to an appearance by the police, this bar is for you. You will be better served going to a bar at one of the quality restaurants in Frankfort. read more
