Getting an appointment was simple, just fill out a form online and the staff will contact you regarding what exactly you want and when you're available. They do have walk-ins, but this can be hard if you're looking for a certain artist or if you're in a time crunch. Your best bet is to call and inquire first before walking in! Leading up to my nostril piercing, I was very anxious. Katey made the process really easy by showing me the different sizes of the piercings and making sure I like the placement of the marker. She also explained the process well. The actual piercing itself was super quick and felt like a pinch. I like that she gave me a paper with aftercare instructions, a card that has the date and size of my piercing, and her Instagram so that if I had any questions, I could reach out to her. The tattoo process with Eva was easy too. My sister and I wanted matching tattoos, so Eva made it easy for us to coordinate so that we'd be able to watch each other get tattooed. She was able to quickly adjust her draft, when my sister suggested a small change to the design. In our original design, the moon was fully filled in, but Eva suggested the peppered shading, which I love! The lines are crisp and straight, and the overall design is clean! I would love to come back either for another piercing or another tattoo. In the meantime, I'll be gathering inspiration for my next one!

I made an appointment for Wednesday instead since that was the next time I was free. The guy who greeted me was very friendly. I let him know that I was interested in two helix piercings and he showed me the studs/rings that people typically get. I knew that I wanted rings (though beware: getting piercing with rings might make the healing process more annoying because the piercing can be irritated more easily) so I picked the surgical steel rings. (I don't remember if they were implant grade now though. I didn't react to the material anyway. For people looking to get pierced, you should double check that.) Chuck was both professional and very helpful. When he was marking the placement on my ears, he gave me a few choices and even suggested one combo over another. I was thankful for it because I have super tiny ears and I didn't want it to look too crowded. Nearly 5 months later, my piercings are perfectly fine. There was some irritation along the way (totally my fault, I'm fidgety...) and a little bump formed but I continued to do the suggested sea salt soaks and my piercings have healed beautifully. As for jewelry selections, I didn't take much time to browse, but it seemed like they had a good variety to choose from. Especially a great place for Rutgers students to get pierced since it's a brief walk from CAC to Easton Ave. I have a friend who's gone here twice -- once for a nose piercing and another for her own helix. I was not told it was bleeding or that it was irritated. Next thing I know there's blood dripping down my face in the car and I have to pull over. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. Paying upwards of $100 for a service and jewelry and you would think they could at least screw the ball in correctly or voice that I was bleeding. WTF?!

We went without an appointment, and it was crazy busy, but the staff was so accommodating. They made me & my daughter so comfortable! We asked all the questions and completed the consent form, and only waited a few minutes to get called back. Taylor was absolutely amazing and the piercing was done in no time. It's a super cute boutique, very bright, very clean, and a great selection to choose from. The staff was very personable and took the time to answer everyone's questions. They gave us all of the aftercare information and made sure we were good. The pricing was great also. I had my 4 year old granddaughter with me, and after I told her mom how great of an experience we had, she may be taking my granddaughter there to get her ears pierced.
