The staff were nice and accommodating when I arrived, but I was misinformed over the phone. Prior to my appointment, I had called and asked if my fresh piercings would be an issue given that I couldn't find the information on their page. I was told I was still able to get the piercing done during that phone call, but once I lied down to get marked for my piercing placements, also informing my piercer of my fresh lobe piercings so she can try to avoid them, and she told me she wouldn't pierce me. While I understand on the piercer's behalf the risks and regulations set in place for these kinds of things, but the misinformation given to me over the phone was unbelievable. I am officially a returning customer. I saw John a few weeks ago and it was nothing but a fantastic experience. So much so, I ensured to plan my next appt when he was working. John has now done 7 piercings on me and I can't say anything negative. Does it hurt? Duh. It's a needle. But he makes the experience as comfortable as could be. Great for anyone new or old to the piercing experience. Starting to think I need a frequent flyer punch card Only thing I guess I could say, is the jewelry is on the more expensive side. I wanted to leave a review so this doesn't happen to anyone else. I feel what happened to me was simply because the piercer did not have the correct knowledge on proper placement and jewelry to use on this piercing. I paid a lot of money for absolutely nothing but pain and suffering. I got my snakebites back in September and had to go back because I noticed that my right one was sinking in. I got it upsized and they told me to come back after two weeks to get it back to the size it originally was(16 gauge as shown in the picture); they chose to pierce me with. After they cleared me to swap out the piercing from the upsized to the original, it again started sinking into my lip, causing pain to the point where I knew I had to take it out. I found out the hard way that the jewelry the piercer used was the size for people's piercings who were fully healed(mine were freshly pierced when I got them and still in the healing process). I also found the aftercare instructions were contradictory in person to the one I was emailed, as the email said to avoid alcoholic content while I was told I could use Listerine with water; I really should've just been told to have an alcohol-free wash as the alcohol would damage my lip had I continued to use it. I am very thankful for the piercer I saw at a different place, otherwise, I would have needed my piercing surgically removed as the skin on the inside of my lip was starting to grow completely over the back of my jewelry. Even if I disregard the fact that I may have needed literal surgery, my piercings ended up crooked because of the jewelry. I just don't want to see anyone else get hurt by Black Moon like they did to me and can't imagine how many other people this happened to. I just hope this prevents someone from going through what I did. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I had my conch pierced and my rook replaced from a barbell to a ring. First of all, the piercer allowed me to purchase an earring that was huge and completely wrong for a conch piercing - then pierced it so far back I will have to get a huge ring when healed that will need to be customized that won't even look like a conch ring. The piercing was was almost 6 months ago and every day it bleeds and scabs and I had to have his original jewelry replaced due to all the pain. Additionally, when I asked to purchase a hoop to replace my barbell his advice was to prematurely change out the original piercing allowing more discomfort and also picked a random size hoop that's way too big and Left me with no choice to change it out. His advice on my ear anatomy was completely incorrect and his procedural decisions were complete uneducated. I felt exploited and was shocked when I went to a professional and was informed of all the inconsistencies, mistakes, and ill advice of my original piercer. Although friendly, I would never trust black moon piercing again. read more
