This is very bad, terrible user experience, very unresponsive and rude support which is absolutely unacceptable. There are better options

My party and I didn't get the chance to experience the escape room but would love to try it out the next time we come back. The staff are amazing, especially Chloe. Such a sweetheart. Loved her energy! Highly recommend the Mango Sago and Crab Rangoon Nachos!

Really unique, immersive speakeasy. Came for a birthday and opted for their escape room, which is…read morealso a really cool feature for a speakeasy bar. The escape room is Alice In Wonderland themed and includes three drinks as part of the experience. Arrived on time for our reservation but were held in a waiting room for about 30 min before we could start. Didn't seem like anyone else was doing the escape room but it was also the week of their biz anniversary so maybe they were just super busy. Phoenix led our escape room and was such a delight. Friendly, great banter, helpful throughout the escape. The escape game is split across multiple rooms with a good diversity of puzzles. Don't want to spoil too much here but they were good challenges. Drinks we incorporated throughout and presented like test tubes that were drinkable in a gulp, kind of like a cocktail shot. Personally, I found the first two drinks to be a bit too sweet, but I liked the third, which was coconut forward. The price is definitely a bit more costly. It was $100/person for a party of five. I understand that it was an escape room + the staff + the cocktails. If you max out the party size, it's about $85-ish per person which I think is pretty solid. Still very unique and fun and glad I got to try it

Had a really good experience with a few workers here. Amita was very friendly to interact with and…read morein no small part was the reason why on the day we planned to only do Chapter 2, we spontaneously decided to also do Chapter 3. Sorry, I can't remember anyone else's names. Puzzles are both clear and challenging at times, the narrative is very interesting and provokes discussion both during and after, and the prospect of decisions affecting later Chapters is very interesting. One of the most engaging and interesting Escape Rooms I've ever done. Although you might find cheaper Escape Rooms out there, Off the Couch Games offers a more unique experience that I think definitely gives you plenty of entertainment for your dollar. I eagerly await Chapters 4 and on. Only room for improvement I can really say is signage. If you miss the banner and front door on your way into the parking lot, you may get confused, especially at night.

We came to Off The Couch with 6 people to try Occam's Apartment. I've only done a few escape rooms,…read moreso I wasn't sure what to expect. The staff does a really good job introducing you to the game, providing context, and giving an overview of the rules. Additionally, they mentioned that we'd receive a discount off our total based on how quickly we finished, which was extra encouragement for us to get through the game. You immediately get immersed into the game before even walking into the actual room and once you're in Occam's Apartment, it feels even more real. The room itself is well decorated, with nice details scattered around the apartment. I loved every minute of the escape room experience and felt challenged throughout the time we were there. We did ask for hints throughout our time there and the answers were often given through directional questions. What I liked most about the Off the Couch set up is that the escape rooms are all a continuation of a storyline, so it makes you feel invested in the experience. I'm looking forward to the next escape room!

If I could give more than five stars I would! It's hard to find a way to describe this place but I…read moredon't think what you may find does it justice! Essentially it's a buncha mini games in rooms that range from physical to mental and pushes you to really listen and work together. Don't expect the grand theatrics of a commercialized space like Bodaborg. But that's what gives it its charm. I've been to a few facilities similar to this in the east coast and have always loved them but Game On has a more thoughtful local feel. We even got a chance to talk to one of the creators Eric and got the lowdown on the place. It's clear when you hear him talk that this place is something truly special. On top of the fantastic service and time, game on was extremely quick and responsive when I emailed and called the next day after I realized I lost my gold bracelet!! I had a suspicion that I lost it in one of the more physically intense rooms... and sure enough James went and found it for me immediately. NOT ONLY THAT! But he even fixed it himself and it was back in perfect condition when I came back to pick it up. This place is great for team gatherings but just be ready to test each others patience (in the best way possible). And I'll be honest but the games are not easy, but that's the magic in it. They're design to make you think and try again and again and again. Game on is probably great for all ages but is especially great for 21+ since you can chill and grab a beer between sessions. If you want something unique to do with your peers, coworkers, and friends I highly rec you spend some time at this local Berkeley establishment!!
