    Caps we bought

My son and I purchased 2 cap guns and caps on Monday. When we checked out the girl asked "do you want your receipt" and I said "no, it's ok." Then I realize my son grabbed the wrong size caps after we were walked back to our hotel. We walk back over and I ask the manager if I can exchange the caps for the right size and he says yes. My son grabs the correct size caps, and then the manager tells me I cannot exchange them without the receipt. I am clearly holding the General Store bag (with over $100 of merchandise I bought) and the cashier is the same girl that rang me up. The manager refused to exchange the caps so I purchased more. I will not be returning to this store. What horrible customer service and clearly they do not value their customers!

Yelp 100 Challenge 2023 #80 The General Store is located across the street from the Fort Worth Stockyards and provides an array of items from drinks, snacks, jewelry, to shirts. The staff was very friendly and it offered a cool place to shop while escaping the Texas heat.

Exactly what you would expect as a tourist. Great selection of Cowboy and Cowgirl-themed Ft Worth logoed stuff. Yes, my 13-year-old granddaughter was exercising her retail therapy with my wallet and the prices are steep. But what ya gonna do ?, its fun! Stop in... *Unfortunately my app is still preventing me from posting photos other than the check in photo at 99 percent of the places I visit. Sorry

Would give this place 5 stars but customer service here was pretty bad. The first thing we heard as we walked in was "we are closing in 7 minutes!" I've worked in retail in the past and never were able to turn down customers as they came in. So we still decide to walk in and buy some stuff. I'm visiting from the PNW. I love stores like this. We felt super pressured to hurry up. Many people that would come in would just turn around and not go in the store after hearing how long they had. There is a lot to see here. Lots of cool stuff. It's a shame that we didn't get to look at most of it. Upon paying the cashier was rude and didn't even smile or make eye contact. I get it...it's the end of your shift and you probably want to go home. Not a good reason to be rude. We will be coming back next time we come to Texas and hoping for a better experience.

I bought a very cute necklace the last time I was here and thought I might come by and purchase another. I got some very NASTY looks from the old women that were working as soon as I walked in. I walked out immediately.

This is the kore upscale souvenir shop at the stockyards. Plenty of items, snacks and drinks to buy. The clothing is not expensive. fun place all around.

Mixed bag of t-shirts, novelty items, and during the holidays, they have funky Texas style tree decorations! Not a bad place to pick up that bring home gift for the office, or something to remember your trip by item. Prices were decent and the staff were helpful with packaging. I loved just browsing through all the sections, from Texas brag books, to the serious cooks' items. A must stop in place for those visiting the Stockyards!

First of all, did you know they have a Concierge? They are on duty 24/7. When, I was there on a Wednesday afternoon a friendly and likeable Hispanic guy was working there. It's good to know someone is looking out for you. You can sleep peacefully at night. The entry way was breathe taking with an oversized horse to greet you. There's also a unique geometric fixture that hangs in front of the elevator that's very appealing. Upstairs, the hallways are spacious and each tenant has a small built in shelf next to their door. Most people like to display welcoming decor there. It's fun to walk the halls and look at the different decor displayed. This high rise condo offers a rooftop pool, a movie room and three stories of parking! It seems like the majority of people who reside here are mature in age. Everyone seems to be very friendly too. If you want to live your dreams now. You should live your dreams at the Montgomery Plaza Condominiums. It will be a good return for your investment.

Last year, they had computer issues and asked us to move our appointment time after we had already arrived with the kids dressed and ready. We understand that things happen, but having to waste an extra hour with little ones in full Easter outfits was incredibly frustrating. Fast forward to this year, and somehow the experience was even more disappointing. We scheduled our appointment for 11:30 and arrived early at 11:15 with our whole crew ready to go, only to walk into complete chaos. They were unable to print pictures, had staff on speakerphone asking for help, and were checking families in in a way that came across as rude and unprofessional. The first appointment of the day took nearly an hour just to receive their prints and leave, which immediately backed everything up. What was most frustrating was seeing walk-ins taken before scheduled appointments while staff appeared to still be setting up on Easter weekend. Again, we understand that technical issues happen, but the lack of preparation, professionalism, and communication made this a really disappointing experience for our family. What started as a tradition is now something we're seriously reconsidering for next year.

If you end up at WHBM, I'll mention that their store manager Karina is the sweetest salesperson you could ask for. If you're ever in the area I'd definitely recommend stopping here! While several of the stores do cater to somewhat more mature customers, it's a great place for TCU students too; stores like Anthropologie and Free People immediately come to mind. Even in some of these stores that normally cater to older customers (mainly WHBM) I've found some cute items that might be appropriate for something like a sorority function; don't be afraid to have an open mind. Also, several of the clothing stores here seem trans- and GNC-friendly in my experience. As mentioned above I've had great experiences with WHBM, but Ann Taylor, Chico's (sister brand to WHBM), Madewell, Anthropologie, and Free People also felt welcoming as well.

The thing I associate the most with west 7 is their bars and night life. A lot of these places are open during the day as a brunch/restaurant but I prefer the bar scene at night. It can be dangerous is you go to certain places as it can get rough but if you just walk away and dont start trouble you will be fine. At night there are a lot of people here and it can get very dirty with lots of trash due to there being a lot of food trucks in the area. You can find tacos, empanadas, pizza, sandwiches and even BBQ being sold at night out here in the streets. Parking is free if you purchase something from some of the restaurants there but that is not always the case. Free street parking can be found you just have to look or you can pay for staying in the garage. A couple of blooks have 'pay to work' with parking meters but they usually offer you 2 free hours. I would suggest parking as far away and then walking to west 7 at night because if you park on the street after 10pm they will tow your car. I seen it happen multiple times where people pay and park but dont read that it expires at 10pm and right on the dot the tow trucks come out and take peoples car.
