We have stayed in numerous hotels in our travels and the Everett ranks as one of the best if not…read morethe best. It has so much charm. The rooms are well accommodating -- the lighting is excellent (the best yet) and the towels are large and plush. The staff so very friendly and helpful. The rooftop lounge with the fire pit was fantastic. We spent considerable time enjoying sitting up there. The location of the hotel is perfect for shopping and eating. Speaking of eating, the restaurant at the hotel offers delicious meals. Don't hesitate to stay at the Everett!!

BLUF: Historic building, friendly staff, interesting rooms and a convenient location…read more My husband and I really enjoyed our one night stay at The Everett Hotel inclusive of a delicious dinner at The Bistro. We would have loved to have stayed longer but we considered ourselves lucky to get a room at all during the peak Fall season. We stayed in Room 9 which is on the third floor loft with an interesting pitched ceiling but no windows. The room was great for afternoon napping and it was just footsteps away from the rooftop deck. For a longer stay we would have probably preferred a room on the second floor with windows. I love American history, architecture and Americana so staying in this old circa 1904 bank was fabulous. We even took a peak at the old bank vault that is now used as a wine cellar and pantry inside the restaurant. The hotel staff here is top notch. Everyone was so welcoming and I appreciate that the hotel called before our stay to see if we wanted to make a reservation in The Bistro. The Bistro is a small, quaint, refined restaurant that books full for its dinner service so it's nice that they make sure hotel guests have an opportunity to book first. Our dinner in the Bistro was fabulous - I had the filet while my husband had the Ettouffee. We also had breakfast at The Bistro the following morning which was also very good. In addition to the five-star staff and cozy room, we loved the location of The Everett Hotel. It was walking distance to everything in town including shops, restaurants and the train station. It was also a short drive to Smoky Mountain National Park. As an added bonus, it is right next door to the Swain County Heritage Museum. We were conveniently able to park behind the hotel. Other conveniences we appreciated were the filtered water and coffee in the hallway. A special shoutout to Daniel who made us feel so welcomed.

Cozy up next to the fireplace, dive into a good book on a rocking chair, grab a board game to play with your spouse or kids, or just take a little nap while you listen to the rain showers. I highly recommend a stay here if you'd like a weekend retreat in the mountains of Western North Carolina and quality time with family and friends. Hemlock Inn is conveniently located a short drive from downtown Bryson City and the Cherokee side of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Hemlock Inn is a nice little place in the woods with quaint rooms, limited technology, and good Southern food. I loved that they rang a dinner bell and had a blessing before each meal, served family style. We traveled with our 1 year old and I was glad I packed some of his favorite foods from home to bring with us (we as moms know our little ones can be picky). Hemlock Inn will gladly provide you with ice to keep items cold and some rooms even have a small refrigerator. The staff here at Hemlock Inn are so attentive and welcoming. Mort and the entire team truly embody Christian hospitality which is a breath of fresh air. We enjoyed everything about our stay at Hemlock Inn and will return!

One of the best parts - Mort picks children to ring the "bell" to call everyone to meals. The kids love it! This was our first time and we will definitely be back! The service desk was very helpful, and as a newcomer, I received a $25 table coupon, which was a nice bonus. The food court had several fast food options--quick, convenient, and satisfying between games. Roulette is my go-to, and luckily, I had a good run and even won some money, which definitely made the trip more fun. Overall, it's a solid casino experience with good service and a comfortable atmosphere. It may not have the scale or energy of Las Vegas, but it's still a great spot for a fun getaway.

Called front desk who was not the least bit concerned about the security breach and offered to have someone meet us at our new room. No mention of moving our bags or how we were to get to our new room cause the elevators are all key activated. Took 90 minutes to get settled into our new room after a manager stepped in. Room was ok, fairly clean. The food choices for a real restaurant were limited. A kiosk driven ordering area does cover all the food court places and clearly works better than the check-in kiosks. Food was pretty good. Tomorrow will be contacting the hotel to get the $50 credit I was to have received for the check in fiasco. All in all a frustrating experience and I won't be back

Anyone could push the door and be able to come into my room! The tv also did not work and I tried every button to try to make it turn on and it simply wouldn't. I will not stay here again. If you're an early riser, it should work for you. I booked this place because it's one mile from a gym and about 18 minutes to Harrah's for WSOP in Cherokee. I had no idea what to expect. This joint is clean and comfortable, which is all I need. It's also a great price and I love the concept. I don't mind tiny rooms, but you might. When I walked into the room for the first time, I felt like a Smurf and thought I had been transported to another world. I imagined Smurfette knocking on the door, me answering it, and Smurfette asking if she thought I was pretty. I said, "Yes, but I don't think you should come in." She fumed, moved a few steps into my room, then started smacking and kicking me while yelling, "You don't think I'm pretty?! You don't think I'm pretty?!!!" Papa Smurf walked down the hall due to the commotion and asked why Smurfette was in my room. I tried to explain, but he just put his hands on his hips and looked disappointed in me. That didn't really happen, and in real life, Smurfs live in mushrooms, but I did imagine it. Another way to say it: these rooms are really small. But that's the point. It's why you pay less. Recommended. If anything changes throughout trip (good or bad), I'll update this review.
