While there we take the kids to Tube World for the snow-tubing, over to the Cataloochee Ski Area, and general sightseeing around this beautiful mountain area. There are plenty of good food options nearby. We really like the breakfasts at Joey's Pancake House and yes they serve other delicious food besides pancakes. The Best Western Mountainbrook Inn is a very nice Best Western and what you should expect from this brand. The rooms are ample size, clean, and the staff is always very helpful. The exterior of the property provides good parking and easy access to the rooms. The Best Western Mountainbrook is centrally located on the Maggie Valley strip and is a short drive to Lake Junaluska or the Cherokee India Reservation. We recommend the Best Western Mountainbrook and hope that you will have a fun time in Maggie Valley as we do each time we visit there.

We were impressed with the upholstery, quality mattress, and toiletries. Our original room had a broken AC and they were kind enough to move us when it could not be fixed. They're rocking chairs out front of the door and the creek out back with more chairs. In the 30 years we've been coming to Maggie, this is our new favorite place. We will be back!

( so it is pet-friendly to a certain degree) The office was closed at check in but I had instructions on how to get situated. Also this time right before Fall sets in isn't too busy in the area. That will change soon now that October is here. The room I got was a "deluxe" king . It had plenty of room for my dog & I . The bed is really cool & looks like it was original . Along with the bed there's a cool retro mini fridge & microwave inside the room. There was a table with a set of chairs plus one smaller sized accent-type chair . The bathroom was so cool with the retro tile. It was a little small but not difficult to get around in. I love the retro look & feel of this place so much is why I gave it five stars. I definitely want to visit again to use the swimming pool, fire pit & outdoor grilling area. These areas are common areas. My room wasn't creekside but those rooms looked amazing. They aren't private because they are pointing out towards the common areas but they looked peaceful. The only minor things I would change is : 1- there needs to be maybe a desk or dresser type area in the room I had. Not really a spot to sit & do work or lay out items for getting ready 2- was unsure about getting ice because there was nothing in the room's information binder about it. Two king bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, porches, living area with pull out couch, and fireplace. Modern decor and comfy touches throughout like the heated floors in the bathroom. We also had an amazing view of the mountains. We had the pleasure of trying all the menus at Switchback Restaurant - breakfast, brunch, and dinner. Food was local and tasty. Vibe was lodge chic. Took advantage of the hiking trails as well. Did the Salamander Falls and Meadow trails. Great scenery and went right past the pasture with horses, which were so sweet. Most importantly, the staff were all incredible. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating. They made it so easy to communicate requests both before and during our stay. Thanks for a great time!
