Quirk seltzer + D&D
Diane W.

My boyfriend and I have been here several times! We bring his dog and everyone loves seeing her and getting pets. I wouldn't recommend bringing a skittish or high energy dog here, it can be a bit loud. But if you have a laid back dog that enjoys attention, feel free to bring them along! They have 26+ taps with local beer, cider and seltzer. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. We have met some awesome people here. If you enjoy games, MTG, or D&D then you've gotta check this place out!

Board games at a large booth (food is not served here, we got it from elsewhere)

Chapel Hill's iconic college bar, He's Not Here is worth a visit just for the experience of…read moredrinking 32 ounces of beer from their famous Blue Cup -- one of the essential Carolina experiences. No, it's not the cleanest bar in town, but the friendly service, spacious beer garden and energetic vibe are just a few of the reasons this is consistently voted one of the best college bars in America. If you don't like beer or cider, you're not going to find much else on the menu, but for hopheads, it doesn't get much better than this. Upstairs, you'll find more than a dozen beers on tap, including a number of local and NC craft brews (and no, you don't HAVE to order one in a Blue Cup, although it's a great value). There's also a smaller bar on the Beer Garden level, which also has about a dozen picnic tables and a small stage for music (there are shows most weekends). He's Not Here is pretty strict on checking IDs, so don't show up without one, no matter how old you think you look. My only complaint was the $5 weekend cover charge, which seemed a little egregious for a place that just serves beer. But that aside, this is a great spot to meet friends, enjoy some live music and drink a few beers. Just down the alley past YoPo at W Franklin & Columbia, and definitely worth a stop if you're in Chapel Hill.

Sit at a picnic table and have a blast catching up with friends. You never know who's gonna show up. The service is quite perfect... I mean, they know their beer. The best part about it is you can stock up your bar card at home with your very own blue cups.

Tony, Maddie & Lane = The Ultimate Bar Dream Team!…read more Where do I even begin?! Tony (Bar Manager), Maddie (Bartender), and Lane (Bar Concierge) were PHENOMENAL--hands down the best team I've experienced! The atmosphere was on point, and their hospitality made the whole night feel effortlessly elevated. Tony crafted me the most incredible extra dirty martini--perfection in a glass. Maddie followed it up with a Manhattan that was smooth, rich, and beautifully balanced. These two know their craft, and Lane kept the vibe seamless with impeccable service and charm all night long. You could feel the genuine energy and care they brought to every interaction. Now imagine if this spot took things up a notch for the residents! A dedicated DJ one week, a live band the next Karaoke or Trivia Nights with themed cocktails Latin Night with rotating special drinks from 6-8 PM, followed by regular pricing Bar snacks like Chex Mix, nuts, or even a popcorn machine Food trucks parked just for bar hours With this kind of energy and top-tier staff, the bar could become the heartbeat of the community--a place to unwind, connect, and celebrate. Huge shoutout again to Tony, Maddie, and Lane for making the night so memorable. They are absolute stars, and I can't wait to come back for more!

Tony and Maddie are absolute stars behind the bar--fun, creative, and the perfect mixology team. They'll whip up something unique just for you, whether you're looking for something bold or smooth, and they even share a few behind-the-scenes secrets about their homemade mixers that truly elevate every drink. The rooftop itself is stunning, with cozy couches, lounge seating, and plenty of TVs to catch your favorite games. There's even a game room with pool tables, making it a great hangout spot after a long week. It feels like a high-end bar you'd find in Raleigh, Durham, or Charlotte--but right here at Carraway. Drinks are priced fairly, comparable to other local bars, and the setting is far more stylish. While there's no food service, you can snack on popcorn, bring your own, or order in. The setup makes it perfect for relaxed evenings with neighbors and friends. Carraway residents--this rooftop is your own private retreat. Grab a drink, soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy the best view around. Hopefully, we'll see the bar open more nights soon--Thursday through Sunday would be amazing!

Want to go to a nice place to unwind after a long day? Don't go here! If you don't trust me, check…read morethe other 20 one-star reviews describing the poor and discriminatory service provided by Chris Pope. Chris is a racist and demeaning bartender. I have been going to this establishment for several years, but I am now forced to avoid it on Thursdays (when Chris Pope works) because he is unreasonably rude and insulting. Even his own co-bartender begged him to, "not be an a--hole tonight," before the two of them fought in the back. It is incredibly disappointing and hurtful, and, frankly, it raises serious concerns about the bar's negligent--or, based on the copious negative reviews, reckless--retention of this employee. Zog's, an otherwise fine establishment, opens itself up to needless liability due to Chris' inability to perform his role without aggressive and embarrassing theatrics. Several other bartenders have called him out on his unacceptable service, including Daniel, but they all refuse to report it because they are afraid of the consequences. (If Daniel were the sole bartender, Zog's would likely have nothing except five-star reviews.) No one wants to work with him, and no one wants to attend this bar. Numbers are dwindling, and other patrons universally acknowledge that they, too, avoid Zog's solely because of Chris. I am keen on taking this further and will not relinquish my efforts until Chris Pope is let go. Zog's is a great establishment that is being ruined by his presence. For those disappointed by this result, Four Corners is a great bar just up the street! I would suggest going there, where the bartenders are courteous. I genuinely hope management takes these concerns seriously, because Zog's could be a great spot-just not on Thursdays.

They have a selection of games to try out and plenty of sitting space for you and your friends to test out and have a good time. They offer a wide variety of singles on their website. By buying them and picking it up in store, you save on shipping, giving them the selection of an online retailer with lower costs. Their prices are most comparable to TCGPlayer, minus delivery fees. Atomic Empire also carries a limited selection of comics and graphic novels, a nice to have for sure. They also sell plenty of gaming accessories from dice to paint to playmates to deck boxes. Unlike many game stores I've been to, Atomic Empire is pristine. High ceilings and proper ventilation provides constant fresh air. Bright lights and clean floors provides a welcoming atmosphere. It's a pleasure to take your time and browse a store that's so well maintained. Atomic Empire is excellent to game in or simply hang out at.
