Cute, friendly book store. First time popping into this great store. The store is spacious and well laid out. I love all the comments on many of the books from readers about why they love the book and they have so many nice selections to choose from. They have a used book section where I picked up several books and they have lots of cute gift ideas and cards. They have a membership program that you can join and get a discount on future purchases and they had plenty of parking out front and the store is easy to find. I really enjoy my time in a nice book store.

Despite its strip mall loc, a delightful space filled with books - both new and used - ample natural light, a space for speakers and comfy leather chairs.

this IS not ok to me. This fits the definition of bullying in my opinion!

The lowdown: I can see the charm that this independent style book store has for many in this area, but I was not super impresssed. It is super clean and roomy however It is heavily geared toward a certain style of thinking and a bit overpriced even for an independent bookstore. I was meeting a friend for lunch at the Root Cellar next door and she was running a little little late so I decided to stop in the book store since I love reading. I attended school at UNC -Chapel Hill and was excited to be in the area again. I was impressed with the size of the store on the inside, it definately did not look as spacious from the outside. It was very clean, the displays looked great. I like how they also had a back room with used books. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the book choices were very geared toward a certain way of thinking. I understand that this is an independent store and my guess is that they don't want to represent beliefs or values that go against them, but there were some derogatory things against the opposite way of thinking that caused me to lower their rating.

Whoah. Thank You Flyleaf. Amazon did not kill bookstores. I am so glad you are here, all big and bold with two huge rooms with shelves and tables full of books that I have to read. All of them. Really. The curation is wide enough for me to be surprised with titles that I did not know I needed, and copasetic. And they did not leave out arts, crafts creative interest, thank you for that. And a full kids section. Oh, and what a fantastic used book selection. Wow. I challenge you go go in and come out empty handed.

After reading my review, the owner of the store, Jamie, reached out to me to explain the internet issues and why they haven't prioritized figuring it out. Not exactly her words, but when they would provide a PW for access, people would come in to utilize their employees' time and recommendations, and then just buy the book cheaper on Amazon while there. Heartbreaking! I appreciated her responding to me and would just encourage anyone relying on internet service to do your Goodreads research before going there until they get a better solution worked out. (Which she told me they are working on) Support local, y'all!!!

Flyleaf Books is a pretty good size and spacious bookstore. They have many table displays and shelves they even have a back room full of used books. I enjoy just wandering the store, browsing all of the different sections and going through all the used books for a good deal. My only complaint would be that despite the large size the selection can be limited at times especially if you are looking for specific book. If you are just browsing or wanting to try something new they have tables of staff recommendations and various different books on display.

We were nearby for lunch, otherwise we wouldn't have made a special trip here. That would have been a big mistake! It's a well-organized, clean, independent book store. They even have a room with used books (some as low as $1), and an adjoining room that's used for events and signings. None of the departments is huge, but they all have good selections. The staff will order books for you, too. A friendly associate helped me with my purchase and told me more about the area.

A treasure. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Better yet, they host the book club at the end at the universe.

Sweatshirts, t-shirts, hoodies, and glasses, all with numerous designs. The employees I spoke to were very nice, but most of the clothing was overpriced, as I kind of expected. I couldn't bring myself to spend $25 on a baby onesie when the baby isn't going to fit in it in two months! Also, the escalator to the bottom floor wasn't working, which was a little inconvenient, but at least the elevator was functioning. Anyway, I'd definitely come back here to get some UNC merch if I was in the area, but only after accepting to myself that I was going to be spending a little too much money :)

This is the place to come for all things Carolina. If you're a Tar Heel fan or know someone who is,…read moreyou should be able to find everything you need here. This place is called "UNC Student Stores" plural because there are multiple stores inside. They include a mini mart with food and drink ("The Pit Stop"), a pharmacy, and a post office. The stores are intended for students (e.g., books, laptops, school supplies), alumni and fans (e.g., UNC apparel, gifts), employees (e.g., hospital scrubs, lab equipment), anyone really. My wife and I stopped by to pick up some temporary UNC logo face tattoos for a game. I haven't been in many college bookstores. I remember Wake Forest's store being very small, but that was decades ago. The one I'm most familiar with is Georgia Tech's (my alma mater). The two bookstores are similar in size (both large, two stories), inventory, and amenities. For example, there's a cafe on the second floor here, where we saw several students studying. Tech's is similar with a Starbucks. Tech's bookstore is much newer, the current one built in the mid-2000s. From the outside, Carolina's bookstore looks many decades old (I'm guessing it was built in the 60s). North Carolina is one of the top-selling and best-known brands in college athletics, so it wasn't surprising for me to see the vast selection of apparel and merchandise here, from niche books to cool collectibles. They even stock UNC logo lululemon clothing. I can't imagine many universities offer logo'd lululemon apparel, but UNC does. It's certainly a cool store if you're a UNC supporter. UNC Student Stores is located on-campus, across the street from the landmark Morehead-Patterson Bell Tower. We parked for free in the adjacent N8 - Undergraduate Library surface lot on a Saturday. UNC employee permit parking (N8) is required to park in this lot during business hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm. I believe it's free and open to the public otherwise, except for probably game days. The lot is small. It has about 40 parking spaces and the spots are narrow.

First of all, the cafe was too packed; they seemed to have change the seating arrangements, and there's not enough seats to accommodate more customers. Compared to the Barnes & Noble in Cary, this location lacked seats outside of the cafe area, so most of the people who want to just sit and read a book are left with no option but to find an open seat in the cafe area or in one of the uncomfortable "benches" in front of the magazine stand. Another annoying change: the restrooms now require a code to enter (probably to avoid unpleasant guests from trashing the toilets, which is understandable). When I asked an old guy at the customer service for the code, he wrote it down for me but the lack of friendliness and helpfulness of the employees make this shop devoid of the kind of warmth you find in other bookstores. None of them asked for what I was looking for or greeted me when I passed. As for the overall value books, it's the same story for every Barnes & Noble: I just don't see a smart reason to purchase books here over purchasing books on Amazon because of prices here are significantly higher compared to buying online. I ended up leaving right away. This location should learn from the Barnes & Noble in Cary when it comes to overall ambiance and customer service.

I specifically go for the B&N classic and special editions but it is nice they have a cafe. I noticed their bathroom is locked and can only be unlocked by a code on the bottom of a receipt which isn't super classy. Overall like any other B&N- the employees said hello but didn't ask if we were looking for anything.
