From the shop (look for signs-it's in a garage like building in the alley by Candyland), you can use the bike paths/trails around the area. We rented for 2 hours so the St. Croix River Loop Crossing was easily done in 1 hour and a trek up the Browns Creek Trail too. I only regret not renting for the 4 hour slot so we could electric assist up the hill to Chilcoot Cafe and the Gateway Trail. Mike, our ebike guru set each bike up to us individually, explaining how the bikes work. The bike that I used was a beach cruiser type-easy/comfortable ride and roomy seat! I know some people will balk at the $43/2 hour rental fee but the views of this area are worth it! If you've ever wanted to try an electric bike-come and check them out! One more thing, one of us accidentally booked online on the wrong day-they were super nice about switching it to the correct day. Thank you Big River LTD!

While waiting I received a quote, dang... expensive. I really love my old bike and have a new gravel bike I like and had to think. There was no pressure to say yes, they did not even try to upsell me a new bike. Im glad I had them work on it, it rides as smooth and free as ever. I did still have an issue with the front derailleur which was addressed promptly. Overall I had a great experience with the service dept as they went above and beyond any expectations I had. I should note the guy that helped me was not the guy from the phone. I stated that the guy I talked to said he may have one in stock, the older guy decided not to investigate further and started pricing me out a new one. He made a trip to the back, basically told one employee to F-off and took a "measurement" of the thread pitch. Came back out and I asked if he looked to see if there was one in the back. He said he didn't look and still needed to measure the length of the shaft. I told him don't worry about it, and that if there is this much leg work in ordering it, I bet it's over priced.

I have taken my bike here several times over the last few years. Everything from bearing issues, flat tire, simple maintenance and new tires required. Every time I have taken it here I have been impressed with how quick they have been and they have always done everything needed. Including the time that "other" bike place had put on a tube that had far to short a stem for my style of tire...they replaced the tube so I could actually fill my tire easily and gave me a great deal on the replacement tube! Now this last drop-off was a 3-week wait, WWWWhat?? I get it, pandemic...everyone and their dog is biking....means long wait time for a guy that bikes all the time. I am out of town for a few days for work so no big deal. When I get home, weather is good...I am going to call and see if I can get my bike and just put it back in the queue when it's my turn. Bad bearings don't mean I can't ride, right!! Friday AM, one week in, I'm getting ready to call and they call me! Bike is ready, under $100 with all the work they did. I am amazed, happy and off for a Friday afternoon ride in the city. Friday afternoon, bike rides perfect. Repairs are all done and it's like i pulled it right off the rack! If you're anywhere near Maple Grove and bike, I would highly recommend going here! Great service from guys that understand how important your bike is!
