Spent $90 to get my roots colored and left with very wet hair. That's not including a 20% tip. They really should bring back the self blow dry option. For a guest like myself who get their hair colored every 4 to 6 weeks this is becoming a little bit ridiculous. The worst part is I don't even get a seasoned colorist. Not recommended for Newcomers. Had an appointment set for 12:00. Got there around 11:48. Told the recipients I was new, I was told to follow someone to the back to met my hair stylist. The lady I followed brought me to the back by the hair washing station. She was walking really fast as she disappeared into the back rooms ( it resembled the employee only lounge). I waited in the hallway between the hair washing station and the employee's lounge. Nobody came to get me as I waited for a few minutes- I stood by the back awkwardly for a bit. I decided to go back to the front and wait. I sat down and waited for 32 minutes before I've decided to leave. Nobody told be they where backed up- or who my hair stylist was. I felt forgotten- I would say if you already know someone there it could be a very nice environment. However for someone new they seem very- disingenuous/distant. read more

Maryann did a beautiful job with my hair. I went for a dramatic cut and she gave me her expert advice. I was unsure if I wanted straight bangs and she let me see my hair with just curtain bangs first before she went further. Very happy with my visit. I treated my daughter to a cut and color yesterday, the tab was $245, I pulled out my $100 Amex gift card to offset the cost and was unpleasantly surprised. The gal behind the counted said " we always have problems with this situation, let's see if it goes through, it probably won't", gee that's great news! Yup it failed! She graciously tried it again using a lower amount, well that didn't work either, well gosh darn it looks like my plans of using the gift card went right out the window. She was unfazed and carried on with her phone calls, no biggie, right? So the bottom line is that their problem was now my problem. Or was this a way of getting cash vs using a credit card (they have an ATM machine at the front of the salon). Either way I was so taken aback by her nonchalant attitude. My suggestion is to either fix the current machine, get a new provider or flat out tell customers that you only accept cash! P.S. Prices went up, it's a stylish salon with less than acceptable customer service. read more

I've been going to Lily at the Gallery for over 10 years. She is absolutely amazing with hair cuts, color, and flow outs. Not only is she a perfectionist and wonderful at her job, but she is also a total sweetheart. The salon itself has always been great, but especially so since it moved to its new, larger location. The salon is beautiful- so much space and it is light and airy. The staff is great, from the front desk, to hair assistants, to the stylists. I have also gotten eyelash extensions several times from Kristen and she does such a great job. Whenever I get my hair or lashes done, I always get so many compliments and recommend going to the Gallery! read more

Worst experience ever!! They actually deserve 0 stars. I specifically requested to have a cut as part of my appointment (single process, cut and blowout). The receptionist never put it on the schedule but when I checked in, the front desk told me it wouldn't be a problem. When I sat down in my stylist's chair, she told me she didn't have time for a cut and we would just have to do it another time. My stylist spent 5 minutes putting color on my hair. Didn't ask me anything about me or my hair. And then left to go take care of other clients. I was shampooed and given a blowout by someone completely different and my stylist never came back over to see how the color turned out or if I was happy with everything. When I checked out, the front desk asked me if I had gotten a cut. No!! And then she tried to charge me for multiple processes that I didn't get. Which tells me that I was supposed to have had more done to my hair that just wasn't done. I am a very generous tipper and I did leave something for the girls that did my hair but it wasn't deserved. I left the salon with my hair looking limp and greasy. It didn't smell, feel, or look like I had just paid $100 to get my hair done. I honestly could have just done this myself. The overall experience at this salon is very stressful. You have to find your way around as no one will take the time to show you to the robe room, show you back to the sinks, etc.. They just say go. And the stylists are so lazy that they do not do any of their own work, even though you pay for them to. You have to listen to the stylists talking about personal drama while you're in the chair and the receptionists and staff are rude and mean. I highly recommend that you find a different salon. read more

I want to be able to leave a great review right now, but I can't. While both of the stylists I've tried at The Gallery - Breanne and Rosie - are awesome, I haven't had awesome experiences with the salon. When you walk into The Gallery, you're greeted with bubbly personalities, but this doesn't make up for the disorganization. When you're instructed to go to the back to get washed, there is always a mass of people roaming around and no order to when you get a chair. In addition, my mom and I have had appointments cancelled on us three times total. While I love the work Breanne does, it's simply inexcusable to be called two hours before an appointment to be notified that it's cancelled (multiple times). For these reasons, I wouldn't recommend making an appointment, and I myself am on the lookout for a new salon. read more

Got a haircut with Laurie. The haircut and blow-out took half an hour total and she didn't seem to put much care into it. Normally stylists I've had will spend some time thinning my ends out with scissors to give the hair more bounce and lightness and she barely did that. Blow-outs are my favorite part of the process because my hair will look like a million bucks afterwards; she did that part quickly and my hair at the end of it looked exactly like it did when I walked into the salon. She put in a spray as well to help "hurry up the drying process". I had to ask her for a mirror so that I could see the back of my hair when she finished. After I finished paying at the front I went back to tip her and she was already with another client. I don't know if she was running on a tight schedule, but that would explain a lot. read more

Just got home from my appointment here and had to hop on yelp and review it. I was recommended to go to this salon by a stranger and thought to give it a try, I am so happy with my result. First the salon is very stylish and clean looking. Gina is amazing I got a partial highlight and cut, the highlights came out exactly the way I wanted and I am very particular about shades and undertones. The hair cut is fabulous Gina fixed my face frame to make it look more natural. This is my new salon that I will continue to go back to, I love it! My husband and I get my hair done here regularly and we love Bily and Alyssa, but I want to focus this review on my recent wedding prep experience. Everything about this place went amazing. I worked with Melissa to set up a schedule about 3 months out and was notified about any changes needed well in advance. My hairdresser had to work with some risks because of what I wanted done (needed extensions, real flowers in my hair), but it came out flawless! When my hair took a bit longer, a hairdresser was quickly assigned to the person after me. Everyone was put to ease amidst the chaos of wedding prep and that is not easy to do. My hair turned out so gorgeous, everyone still talks about it! When my eyelashes came undone, my makeup artist ran over quickly to the wedding venue (15 mins away) to fix it for me. I could not have wished for a better experience all around. I feel so lucky! I truly felt like a princess and I am super happy we went into a salon to get prepared instead of having them come to us. I Just stopped in for a blow out, on a whim. From the outside this salon doesn't stand out much, I wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't searching for one. I was immediately impressed by the display of products when I walked in the door. They have a huge variety, all brands that I love and that aren't easy to find where I live. Even though I was a walk-in and they were busy I didn't have to wait more than 3 minutes. Everything looked clean. I live no where near here, but my doctor is very close so I'm in the area once a month. I never go to salons, because A) I am extremely picky and B) I am a licensed stylist. However today I felt like relaxing. --Amazing stylists work here, everyone was so sweet and they do great work! I have going to The Gallery for over 7 years now and I have never been disappointed. The salon itself is gorgeous,clean and a welcoming environment. Dawn is my stylist and does an amazing job. From cuts, blowouts, color, highlights, keratin, she does it all. I have referred many people to the salon and they are all still going. All of the girls are super friendly and always stop by to say hello. There are many salons out there but none quite as nice as The Gallery. Great place all around. Staff is very friendly. I went for balayage. Worst mistake. I had dark hair so it was on 2 day process. Went bleach my hair to a medium brown. Then waited 3 weeks to come back to give my hair a break as the hair stylist advised. When I went back to finish the process, she did not do a balayage. It looked like I just went to get a lot of highlights done.. from the roots; not at all what I went there for. Never went back and been deep conditioning my hair to restore it's health! read more
