St. Paddy stop #2. Not thrilled by the pour.

We stumbled into this place on St. Patrick's day. It wasn't really busy at all, but it was a Monday. I felt really cheated on March 17 with getting light "pint" of Guinness in a plastic cup when there were proper glasses behind the bar. The bartender was friendly and nice.

Goodness, what a throwback to old northern Irish pubs! Bar well stocked. Friendly, and efficient Irish server. It was a grand experience! I absolutely LOVED THE flavorful Irish Shepherd's Pie! My companion raved about his Mediterranean Salad with Cajun Chicken (it was great)! Full points!

    Appletini's are great!

The food and service were excellent. We sat at the bar and the attendants were very observant and aware.

One of my favorite pubs for a long-standing time now given ambiance and consistency. Hands down one of the best spots for bar food in a bar-type atmosphere. Everything from burger to apps to the spicy chicken Sandwich-which I had most recently- is flavorful and plentiful. Throwback Irish pub in what is an old NYC feel. Can either grab a quick drink or sit down for a relaxed meal with quick service. Definitely recommended to all.

Historic pub looks like it's transported straight out of England or Ireland. Warning: there is a credit card fee that is not very clearly disclosed. If that is an issue be sure to bring cash. Serves a very decent, decadent burger and there is a good selection of draft beers. Unfortunately one of the beers we received had gone off and had a horrible sour taste, the bartender agreed and gave us a new one free of charge.

The Fulling Shilling is a Irish Pub located in downtown Manhattan, near the financial district. This was my first time in Manhattan in over 10+ years and my first time going to The Full Shilling. The restaurant is quite large! As soon as you walk in, the restaurant immediately opens up to a bar and plenty of table seating. We had a party of 5, around lunch time at 12:30. We had no issues getting seated at the time and reservations weren't required. The service is tremendous! The team member at The Full Shilling seated us and provided menus. There were so many delicious items on their menu such as the shepherd's pie, but ultimately, I had to choose their corned beef sandwich on rye bread! The ambiance is loud and fun inside The Full Shilling! All of our meals came out in approximately 20 minutes. There was so much food! I couldn't finish the corned beef sandwich with a side of French Fries. The corned beef was flavorful! The rye bread enhance the overall meal. The French Fries were fried perfectly and seasoned well. Next time I stop at The Full Shilling, I'll need to order the Shephard's Pie!

Stayed in the financial district during our trip to NYC. This place was perfect for a drink after coming back after a long day. The atmosphere and decor are very cozy, great selection of on tap beers.

I would fully expect an Irish pub like The Full Shilling to be in Sunnyside or Woodside but instead it's situated all the way in the downtown of Manhattan. It is a place that is ideal for drinks and a hearty meal in a super casual setting. It is a quality option for afterwork shindigs for Wall Streeters and downtown residents. The exterior is a bit deceiving, as it doesn't give away how big this place really is. The bar is extensive, stocked with spirits with a nice sized counter. Apart from the bar, the dining room is pretty spacious and enough to catch most people by surprise. It's not the most well lit in here, but that's the plus side of an intimate feel in pub fashion. Irish pub with a bar bite feel is the best way I can describe their food. Their sandwiches and burgers are their biggest winners but folks looking for something light or hearty are sure to find it on this menu. I haven't tried their shepherd's pie just yet, but I've heard good things. Drinks wise, the standard run of the mill options are available and they most certainly have Guinness on tap. Service is the strongest asset. The bartenders are friendly, the managers are professional, and the crowds are never too overwhelming here. Keeping it casual is almost always going to merit good results for this place, but always keep expectations reasonable.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with champagne, which immediately set the tone for a special evening. Our server, Daniel, was beyond amazing. He was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our anniversary meaningful. It never felt forced just thoughtful, polished hospitality. The team went above and beyond when we brought our wedding cake (which had been frozen for a year). Not only did they accommodate it without hesitation, they helped decorate and present it beautifully you would have thought it had been baked that same day. It was such a touching moment for us, and they handled it with care and enthusiasm. As for the food: incredible. The steak tartare was perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. The tuna was fresh and vibrant. And the Beef Wellington... honestly one of the best I've had in New York City. Perfectly cooked, rich, elegant, and absolutely worthy of a celebration dinner. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance: romantic, warm, refined but relaxed. It felt special without being stiff. If you're looking for a place to celebrate something meaningful, this is it. We will absolutely return.

I found the hodgepodge of old-timey decor to be a bit kitsch, but to each their own. I came with a group on a weeknight with no reservation. We were seated immediately on a high wood table. Although the bar wasn't busy (there were plenty of empty spaces, small groups scattered throughout the area), the service was quite slow. The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience. It's certainly a bar for a certain type of crowd, and the service was lacking, but maybe we went on a bad night. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll be served better than we were.

Our server didn't check up on us, and seemed to want us to leave quickly after dropping off the check. We were also disappointed by the food items (as they were lacking) and nothing about this was like other experiences we had with other afternoon teas.
