    Tuna bowl
    Victoria S.

Such a cute place! I had such a good time dining here for dinner. It gets pretty busy on weekends during the summer so you may have to book ahead or go early enough to get a spot while you roam around the streets. The food is probably a 4.5/5 but the service is definitely 5/5. All of the servers were so kind! My partner and I ordered calamari, tuna bowl and a classic hamburger. Whoever fries food in the back kitchen deserves a raise because the calamari and fries were so perfectly crispy, I was hooked. The tuna bowl comes with a large bed of salad - more than the grains so keep that in mind if you order it as it is more of a salad. Overall, great experience and would definitely come back here again!

(Before everything closed...again) I went on a girls trip to elora and our airbnb was pretty much right above this place! It's so nice and cozy. The interior is very well designed and it had an overall great vibe. The service was quick and our server was really nice! The menu has a wide variety of options. I got the burrata and small summer salad. I loved loved loved how the burrata came with honeycomb! The salad was also super tasty but I do think that it was a bit over-dressed. My friends ordered the Mac n Cheese, Autumn buddha bowl and a pappardelle pasta. All were really good (I had a few bites of each-- we all kind of shared). The fries here are great! I only took pictures of my food though. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you ever come to Elora-- it fits the vibe of the town very well!

Great restaurant in Elora. It is actually a fairly sized placed despite the smaller entrance. Host and servers were so nice. They took as many precautions as they can to keep patrons safe from COVID 19. The food is delicious and well made. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and caesar salad. Yum! Enjoyed my meal, enjoyed the view. Have already recommended this place to my friends.

Cute and busy restaurant by the river. St Germaine Spritz and hummus appetizer were shared and delicious. Dragon bowl was ok. Service was friendly, however there are were a lot of flies in the lower part of the restaurant.

Great food and service. My family and I enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. We shared the calamari app - my kids devoured it! We each ordered a different item on the menu. I ordered the chicken sandwich with house salad. My wife had the burger with fries and my kids had the fettuccini Alfredo and grilled cheese from the kids menu. All of us tried each other's food and we all agreed the food was great. You won't go wrong eating here. Place was busy - family day weekend and all - so I suggest making reservations in advance. The only small minus was my chicken sandwich was slightly too crispy on one end but still delicious.

If you get a chance to go to Elora this summer make sure to try their super moist and crispy chicken!!! I dipped mine in the gravy that came for the frites. Fantastic! Staff was very friendly and the patio is quite large but I recommend making a reservation because this place is busy. At the time of this posting they also offered takeout which is also very popular.

Gazpacho soup, fried chicken with garlic aioli & chicken sandwich with fries.

Yum, yum yum. Outdoor seating arranged in line with COVID guidelines; my gazpacho soup had drizzles of balsamic vinegar and olive oil & the fried chicken with garlic aioli was so well worth the wait. Wish I had more days here in Elora to go back for other items in the menu.

We were greeted and seated as soon as we entered the restaurant. Even though we had made a reservation, we were given the choice of 3 tables, which we really appreciated. We ordered two cocktails to start. I had the Flora Mexican which was amazing! it was floral, a little sweet, a little sour and just the perfect amount of yum. I loved it. My husband had the Improved Whisky Cocktail. It was also very good, with Rye, Maraschino and a nice hit of Absinthe. We decided to share some items from the crudo part of the menu. We had the salmon carpaccio which came with squid ink crackers and some lovely little pickled items. It was outstanding. We had the tuna tataki which also had lots of little pickled items and was amazing, but for me the actual tuna stole the show. The last item we ordered was the venison tartare. OMG, it was fabulous. The flavour of the venison was wonderful and the chili and capers just added so much to the dish. The cured egg yolk shaved on top gave it a subtle hint of saltiness. Everything was fantastic. The service was great and the ambience was too. We will most definitely be back when we return to London. Highly recommend this place.

The service is incredible here, and the vibe is cool-chic. Just loving the atmosphere here…read more As for the food, don't expect it to be a "traditional Izakaya" here, but that's not a bad thing. They do the "traditional" dishes with a twist / fusion. For example, the black cod is usually feel heavy with the miso based sauce, but they added some acidity to the sauce and they made the black cod taste rich and light (not to mention the black cod was perfectly cooked); traditionally the Brussels Sprouts would be finished by tossing balsamic vinegar over it. Sometimes that would still feel heavy. Instead, they tossed it with strawberry vinaigrette. So the acidity is very light and not too sweet. We finished our meal with the Yokai Signature Maki. Yes, they SHOULD be proud of this Maki enough to put their name on it. They hit it on the nail with the taste profile. I have a zero tolerance with spiciness, so they put the spicy mayo on the side, and I encouraged my wife to dip the Maki with it. She confirmed my suspicion that the spicy mayo took the maki to another level. We definitely will come to try other dishes. Edit: they comped us a slice of Matcha Cheesecake. While it is still not my cup of tea, but I was very impressed with how good it taste. My "dislike" is with cheesecakes because they feel heavy. Though it is still on the heavy side for me, but as soon as I spoon in a bit of the strawberry sauce, it just lightened up the whole thing. They have successfully amazed me with how well they play with taste.
