My husband and I come here quite a bit and always have a great time, so we are definite fans of this hotel. The last several stays, we were in a Director's suite and prior to that we had a Producer's suite. I will say this much.. The bed in the Director's suite which is supposed to be one of their top rooms, is NOT comfortable to sleep on and the pillows are not great either. The Director's suite is very large with a separate sitting area, a bathroom with double sinks, a soaking Jacuzzi tub with a window view to enjoy the scenery and a separate shower. So, if you are looking for spacious, this is the room to get. As far as the Producer's Suite, it is one large room with the sitting area on one end, a bathroom with a single vanity sink, a soaking Jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. There is a lot to do here at Foxwood's/Fox Tower, you won't be disappointed. Right off the elevator is a Casino, Shrine Night Club, Red Lantern Restaurant, Juniors and many more. Let's not forget The Fox Tower outdoor Swimming Pool! It's huge and it's always a great time out there!!! Be sure to get some cheesecake from Juniors downstairs! I have stayed at Foxwoods Fox Tower 4 times for conferences over the past 2 years and dread it each time. The price tag of 300+ per night is nuts and they should be paying me to stay there. Old and tired. 3 times my "key" card got de-magnetized. I stay at a lot of hotels and this lack of technology is ridiculous. No USB ports in the hotel rooms and my "radio" had an old school port for my 2002 iPod. FYI it's 2019 Rooms are dirty and dusty. The ventilation system does not work well enough to get rid of the smoke smell in the casino or restaurants. The food is overpriced for what you get. Alta Strada is the only restaurant that in my opinion is halfway decent. Glad a bunch of the conferences are changing venues because Foxwoods is gross. Update: the staff members here are great and so are the showers. (Probably not very water efficient but nice) read more

Bought a living social deal for a weeknight stay in a standard king room for about $127 which included a 20% off discount and taxes. We arrived at noon and assumed a room wouldn't be ready until check in (4pm). We were told us it wouldn't be that long (maybe an hour or two) and we would get a text once a room was ready. (If we wanted a lower floor room, we would have been able to check in immediately, but I wanted a higher floor). The guy checking us in hesitated then said, "wait a minute...might have a suite available on a high floor right now". We were pleasantly surprised and excited, having been given an end room 25th floor "director suite" which was 2 rooms (bedroom and living room/office area) complete with mini frig, couch and a bathroom with 2 sinks, separate toilet room and a jacuzzi tub/shower room. Oh and the rooms had floor to ceiling windows. It was stunning and we felt like celebrities. One minor complaint was the smoke detector blinked brightly every few seconds....it kept me from falling asleep unless the sheet was pulled over my head. Kind of a bummer and I didn't sleep as soundly as I thought I would. Overall, we enjoyed our one night stay, the extra amenities and the decor of the room and will probably be back again at some point. This is a perfect quick getaway for a romantic night away. Groupon/Living Social offers this deal all the time, so definitely take a look if you want to save some money. Deal also includes a $15 dining credit and a late check out (12pm). read more

My partner and I checked into the hotel for a 2 night stay. My partner recently tour his ACL, making it hard for him to walk longer distances. We asked Andrew at the front desk if we could get a room closer to the elevator but he didn't look if he could, instead gave us the room furthest from the elevator. When we checked into our room there was a strong smell of cigarettes and the room was just dirty. The fire sprinkler has about 1/2 inch worth of dust covering it. The desk in the room has brown stains on it, as if someone split a whole cup of coffee on the desk and it never got cleaned. We called the front desk to complain, the guy immediately started with "I can't upgrade you" before we could even say anything. He then forwarded our call back to Andrew at the front desk who did not offer us a solution. He was unwilling to even give us a near by suit or another King room. Did not expect service like this especially when paying over $200 a night. It is worth the longer trip to Encore in Boston. read more

Yeah it's going to be a no go here. I honestly prefer Mohegan - and if Fluffy (Gabriel Iglesias) didn't have what he called a "disagreement" with Mohegan- I would have preferred to see him there. In my opinion - their small little signs on where to go to see people or places are a joke, we all got lost - asked some kid that looked all of 18 where Fluffy was playing, and he rudely says : "why don't you just follow the girls I just spoke to." OKAY buddy... wouldn't want you to go out of your way or anything. Entitled millennial. 95 percent of the workers were rude when asking for directions to things - like we all we're putting them out. Sorry Foxwoods - you don't see that sort of NONSENSE at Mohegan. Food court was SO dirty. Try throwing your trash on the floor people - because they don't empty bins ... so your trash falls right out anyway. Maybe this will hint to them their trash is all FULL. The tables were not cleaned ... ppl at different places acted like if you ordered something... they were going out of their way. No lids for drinks at the food court near Starbucks... but how much money are you taking in Foxwoods!? UNREAL. All in all this casino is overhyped. Many of the slot machines are old and should be retired (or at least cleaned better, some were sticky - but cleaning doesn't seem their strong suit- as I said above). Some of the clientele they attract are a little sketchy looking. I had one one person stare and was watching me take money out of my wallet at all times - that made me feel uncomfortable. The casino doesn't have the same aesthetically exciting feel to it as casinos in Las Vegas obviously. There is a non-smoking area, but it still smells smoky- forget about the rest of the areas that allow smoking, they need to increase the rate of air handling because as a non-smoker it was a turn off and I had to leave those areas. The only plus was Gabriel Iglesias- but this whacky theater there has security sitting right next to you. Even the comics were like what is up with that. I'll go for shows again "maybe" as I see Jim Bruer is playing - but never will eat or play there. Just gross. read more

So, I headed up to MGM for a weekend long bachelorette party. I've always been strictly a Mohegan girl...so this was my first trip to MGM. I've stayed at Mohegan numerous times and I have to say...while I enjoy Mohegan for gambling, food (so far) and entertainment, I enjoyed the hotel and pool at MGM MUCH more. The lobby has it's own seperate entrance and concierge from Foxwoods--we utilized the concierge and all was standard and friendly there. Our rooms weren't quite ready so we had to check out luggage, and that was quick and efficent. We had two rooms right across from each other--both rooms were clean, with extremely spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds. Our request to remove the mini bar and snacks was met immediately, as was our request for an empty fridge for all our booze. We called down for new pillows a few times and that was immediately brought up as well. I LOVED the showers--huge, with a nice bench. My only complaint is that because the floors are marble, they get very slippery...but hello, it's marble. We had no problems with noise as other people have mentioned, so I can't speak to that. As for the pool--great layout, but poolside service SUCKED. Maybe because we were a group of 8 good looking girls and the waitress think they will get better tips from groups of guys...but we were NOT happy with this. I would definitely go back. read more

Second time staying here. First time was great. We got a big corner room. It was clean, bright and we had a beautiful view. This time was a whole different feel. Our room was pretty gross! When we walked in I took my shoes off. The carpet felt wet in some parts of the room so I put my shoes back on. The room was muggy so I instantly turned the A/C on. The beds were fine, linens were clean but they felt old and rough. The carpet was so dirty, had so much hair and other stuff everywhere. The water kept rising in the sink and then the shower (ew) I almost slipped when I stepped in. It felt so gross. The shower door had water spots all over it and wouldn't even close. The only pro was that my baby seemed to like the bed and slept through most of the night. Will definitely check out the other hotels before coming back here. read more

I am actually currently staying here! I am giving it 5 stars not for how good the place is but for the service I am encountered 1/3 into my trip. I checked in at 1am (flights running late) and ended up with a room over the dance club. I called downstairs to let them know but at the time I was too tired to move rooms (plus the other room was smoking) so I decided I would just suffer through the room with music. Today I went down to ask the concierge about something completely unrelated and mentioned to her that I had a bunk room and she immediately got me another room and had everything packed up and moved from one to the other so I didn't have to do it!! Amazing Service. I also ended up with a much nicer room too. My stay has been really nice so far....but it's still a new hotel and they need to work out the kinks but while they are doing this they are doing it with a smile and that's all you can really hope for... read more

Even though I was staying at Foxwoods for work, I still had a great time during my trip. I stayed in a Producer's Suite room and it was very spacious, complete with separate sitting area. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was huge and had a deep Jacuzzi tub, although I didn't get around to using it. I also had a great view of a million trees, which briefly looked like a magical winter wonderland after it snowed one night. I like that the room came with a mini fridge, complimentary water and, most importantly, the free wifi actually worked really well throughout the entire hotel!! I was able to play games and watch youtube on my ipad, er... I mean get work done. Since I (by I, I mean, my company) was paying a $20/night resort fee, I thought I'd better check out the gym. It was small, but very clean and had everything you needed including water and towels on all the machines. I made it a whole mile and a half on the dreadmill before I remembered why I hate the gym and no longer have a membership anywhere. I should have just walked around the outlet mall to give my credit card a workout! There was also a very small indoor pool and a hot tub, but I forgot to bring a swimsuit. Oh I almost forgot the casino! It's also on the small side, but there are a lot of newer slot machines. I lost $100 to Willy Wonka and his damn Oompa Loompas. There was also $1 blackjack, which I have never seen in Vegas. It was pretty empty (possibly due the impeding Nor'Easter), which I prefer. I think the casino at the Grand Pequot was bigger and busier. If you're in the area, I think it's worth a visit to Foxwoods. The rooms are on the pricey side ($300+) and it's definitely not Vegas, but it's much nicer than any of the Indian casinos I've been to in California! read more

I stayed at Foxwoods in the Fox Tower Hotel a few weeks ago and had an enjoyable stay however was a little disappointed with my room. It was on the smaller side. The large bathroom with selfie mirror and walk in waterfall shower was a plus. It was surprisingly quiet considering the hotel was booked up and busy. The room was clean. The heating and cooling system was loud and probably needs to be serviced. There wasn't a refrigerator, I probably could have asked for one but I thought that would come standard in a hotel room. The staff was friendly and helpful. I did get to see an end room that a friend was staying in and I liked that room much better and would probably ask to stay in one of those next time. The floor to ceiling windows offer an amazing view. Overall not a bad stay and would stay again but would probably ask for a refrigerator and an end room lol. read more

Talked to front desk and room service manager, they blamed it on the fact that it traveled from Foxwoods not Fox Tower. It is what it is. Totally unacceptable! This is our second time staying at this hotel. The Check In staff were very polite and courteous. Our room on the 28th floor was clean. It was one of the suites so the area where the toilet is in the bathroom was separate with its own door. Upon going in there to use the restroom later in the evening it smelled like weed so bad I wanted to vomit. I'm guessing it was coming in through the vent I don't know where else it could've came from. We left the door closed and the fan on constantly to try to stay ahead of the smell. When we checked out and were asked how our stay was I replied that everything was very nice except the smell of the weed which was gross I wasn't able to sleep because of it. Waited until 6pm for one of my rooms to be available. Was on other side of property and tried to call for status but couldn't get a human on the phone- waited on hold 20 minutes. Had to continually walk all the way back to front desk to get updates. So many restaurants closed or not serving food on a Saturday night when you have a huge sold out headliner?! This is after the first show so around 9pm. When did you expect people attending a 7pm show would eat? Your food/beverage director should be fired. People scrounging to find a place to give away their money for food is absurd. Covid testing in the hot garage... felt like i was going to pass out. Told someone i was handicapped. Put me on a shorter line that moved slower because they took anyone with an appointment (which i never knew was even an option) before me and continued to let me stand there. People on the regular line moved faster. Asked her about my handicapped status and feeling light headed to which she literally looked me up and down as if not believing I'm handicapped. Only after i called her out on that disgusting judgement and mentioned "ADA" did she offer me a stool and then a few minutes later to the testing site. Cedars- after walking from fox tower to rainmaker, following multiple signa for Hard Rock being open... to find once again, another closed restaurant, we were lucky to eventually find a place at the bar at Cedars. This is an overwhelming "meh". My husband and I stayed two nights in the producers suite - not a cheap stay. I will say, the view was a WOW, but that's the only positive I have. The room was dingy, dark and outdated. It had the classic Foxwoods smell of lingering cigarette smoke, indoor water fountains, and must... There was a weird shaped old and disgusting couch in room. The bed was SO uncomfortable and the sheets were very.... crinkly. They were really loud anytime you moved. They also don't have fitted sheets, just flat sheets they put on top of the mattress which OF COURSE move throughout the night exposing you to what I can only assume is a very old mattress based on the state of our backs after 2 days of sleeping on it - mind you, we are in our early 30s. No spring chickens BUT we shouldn't have stiff backs from two nights in a hotel SUITE bed. I suggest trying the other casino hotel or better yet, staying off site. Save your money and your backs. read more

I am definitely a fan of this hotel. The room we got came with two double beds and the room itself was a nice size. The bed I slept on was not the most comfortable nor were the pillows. The pillows actually sucked. But the bathroom was huge, the shower and water pressure were great! We checked in around 4:30 pm and there was a line but it moved rather quickly. The young lady who checked us in was quite friendly, but she gave us on wrong information on the $15 dining credit that we got for booking our room through Groupon. She stated that the $15 credit would be good at any restaurants on property but that's not true. We tried to use it at Guy Fieri's Kitchen and Bar and we couldn't. It was fine because we ended up using it somewhere else the next day. They charge a resort a resort fee which I think is stupid. The resort fee covers the two small complimentary bottled waters and wifi. We booked through Groupon and I believe we got a pretty good deal, so if you're thinking of getting a room here, I would suggest looking at Groupon first. read more

I stayed here in 2017 and had a much better experience than my past stay in May 2019. For one the room quality decreased, the bathroom plumbing was all sorts of backed up. The shower didnt drain properly and the toilet kept running. In 2017 when I saw someone on staff they seemed happy to be working at foxwoods and friendly, this visit everyone was grouchy and annoyed at their job. The venue is also showing its age with dents in the walls and dirty carpet. It did not help that foxwoods is running a groupon so you have alot of drunk folks running around in the middle of the night puking in the hallways, breaking their shower glass, etc. Not a great experience for a conference stay. read more

Where to begin....Hmmm, pulled into valet on one of the coldest days of the year...valet came right up and we said we need a bell hop and was told someone should be out shortly...Um, it's 5 degrees....waited..waited..waited, so we go to grab a luggage cart and was sternly told we couldn't do that. We were freezing (as were they) but seriously we were waiting over 5 minutes ...Oh wait, Here they come...Buurrr! Anyway, check in was great, however, I requested a room upgrade, Directors Suite, I was offered it online for $59 plus taxes...I asked what the price was at the front desk and was told it was $50 plus taxes...OK, I'll take your price..weird. Anyway..we got to the room and huge disappointment!!! Room is old, dingy and in desperate need of an update. It's oddly shaped and the furniture looks like it came out of a 70's porn movie. We found a couple of potato chips under the couch and some store tags from a women's shirt under the TV credenza. Not ours. TV's are ridiculous old. I mean, I get it...it's not 1994 and the reservation is not flushed with cash like it once was...but Jesus, take some pride in your appearance! it's time for some room updates!!! They don't clean the rooms well at all!!! The couch was disgusting! The furniture is chipped and old....Motel 6ish...Gross!!! Pictures attached. PS: We love to come here, the staff is great, overall atmosphere is nice, fun, great people watching, but the rooms...ick..it's just getting skeevy now. I absolutely loves this hotel. I was a little skeptical at first because of the reviews but I took my chances. I had got a Groupon for one night, I figured for the price we can't go wrong. From checking in to check out it was a five star experience. We had a room on the 26 floor and the view was fantastic. The room was clean. The beds was the most amazing beds ever, we even called the hotel after checking out to inquire where to order that same exact bed. I know it's a bit extreme but when I find something I like I have to have it. The shower pressure in the shower was just perfect. It was very strong and the shower stayed hot for longer then 15 mins. It was actually too hot. That was the first time ever we had hot water for so long at any hotel. However, the flush from the toilet was VERY loud. We could hear whenever someone flushed the toilets, it didn't matter if it was above us, next to us or below us, we heard that darn flush. We didn't order any room service. However, we ate at Juniors which was right down stairs and it was horrible. Cheese cake was the only best thing like always. We check out at 11 and we left our bags with the concierge so we can shop and gamble. We self parked because it was right next to the hotel and for free, we literally parked and walked out of the lot and a few steps over was the entrance for the hotel. We will visit again and hope that we have he same great experience as we did this time. read more

I've been to foxwoods before but its a totally different experience when you're staying only an elevator ride away! We had a double queen room on the 28th floor. The was spacious and had a great view (I can only imagine all those tree tops and hills during the Autumn!) the bathroom was spacious and nicely updated. The shower even had a bench which made for a great steam shower. The only con I would say is the price of the room. I fortunately found a groupon which brought the price down significantly, but if you go on a blocked out weekend, expect to pay big $$ read more

Ok, I don't like doing 1 star reviews...and in this case, I'll start with why. What is it with casino's allowing smoking on ALL their gaming floors? Hello Foxwoods management...it's 2019, not 19-anything....get with the times and remember the health of your guests and employees! If needed, separate the "smoking casino floors" from the walking areas and make some "non-smoking casino floors" for those who want to gamble but don't want to breathe smoke. The Great Cedar Casino has loads of smoke for a smoke free area. Now that I'm off that soapbox. Foxwoods is a great place to come to for an event. I didn't stay at the hotel here (a bit above my price range), but they do a good job with large events. Signage improved from last year's Red Sox Winter Weekend by identifying the best parking for the event on the big signs. When you come, bring some good walking shoes...cause you'll get a good workout. So really 4 stars for the Foxwoods team. Plenty of great options to eat too for all budgets! Enjoyed the Golden Dragon for dinner one night. Parking is easy and plentiful. Staff is also plentiful and helpful. read more

Stayed on a Sunday night in April 2017. Room was very affordable at $113 including all taxes and fees. Room was clean and had a wonderful view. Bed was comfy too. Vanity was in the same room as the shower which I am not a fan of. Applying makeup when it's so warm and sticky from the shower steam is not easy. Bright green flashing light on the smoke alarm and loud A/C unit made for a sleepless night. They let us check in a few hrs early which was great, but the line was not so great. Stayed on at the Fox Tower on January 19th, 2020. It was a terrible experience, everything from check in to checkout. We did not get a wink of sleep. Do to unsupervised teenage kids being in a room next to ours. They kept throwing things on the wall and screaming all through the night into morning. They pushed kid out of the room and even threw drinks at him. Then he would sit there yelling to let him back in. In short security was called many many times. Nothing ever happened. So much so that I had to go and talk to them. It was my first and last time staying there. I can't say threw out all my travels that I've ever experienced something like that. I stayed here in January of 2015. We got a Groupon and stayed one night for a friend's birthday, in the producer suite style room. It was a very large with two TVs, a nice sitting area, and a great view of the ice skating rink and CT landscape. The bathroom was spacious and modern. I would give the room 5 stars. It's a nice space to have a cocktail with friends before going out. As others have noted, the front desk tends to have long lines for checking in (15-20 min at least). I found the staff to be knowledgeable and kind. They really seem to need more staff and a bigger front desk! The casino and nightlife at Mohegan is superior to Foxwoods in my opinion, so that brought the rating down. There are not as many restaurants and things to do at Foxwoods. The crowd tend to be a bit older. Besides Scorpion Bar and Shrine, there isn't any nightlife at Foxwoods. Also, if you haven't seen it, the Pequot Museum is really worth checking out. They are open seasonally. read more
