We came here for Memorial Day weekend- staff was pretty nice. Our room was on the first floor and the people upstairs walked back n fourth late at night.. it sounded like they were in the room with us. I believe they had a whirlpool upstairs and every time it ran we heard it as if the tub was in our room. Also our sink was backed up and the toilet seat was loose. Maintenance was pretty quick to fix it though. Not sure if I would stay here again as the walls are extremely thin.

the room was clean and looked nice. Customer service was great. The only downside was the small indoor swimming pool.

Can I give a six star review?…read more We've stayed at expensive hotels this year in Philadelphia and Chicago and this experience is head and shoulders over those. Huge room, comfortable, quiet and cozy. 6 star The quiet, do we even have anyone in the Inn or the town? The insulation is top notch. The dark The ultra sleeping experience. I guarantee the owner slept in this room at least one night to get feel for the room and make those little touches. How many hotels do you go to where the shades don't keep out the light or that the various clocks and smoke alarms and power strips and wall outlets all have bright led lights on them? How many times have I draped a sock over something. Not here, even the clock has a bright, dim and off option. I love a blacked out room and very very rarely get one. The shower - powerful and hot and oversized. Wow. Massive bathtub with jacuzzi option, wow. A well hidden TV, a really nice touch. We don't want it dominating the room. Bed, I've returned 3 mattresses after purchasing them at my house so I am picky and this bed is elite. Huge comfy chairs, comfy robes, this room has it all and the a/c is powerful. Resort 6stars Wine and cheese and fruit and cracker happy hour, bring $5 to tip Susan, she is a cheerful conversatalist. Breakfast is massive, don't plan to go anywhere else for brunch or breakfast. Highly recommend it and the seating areas are many, inside and out. Staff - great recommendations and Beatrice drew upon her knowledge of growing up in the town. Plus they had a ready list of 5 places to eat to walk to, so nice. The town, what a find, a classic NE town, they filmed mystic pizza here. So quiet and so much to do! Good amount of folks walking around, plenty of sites to see. Love it here.

And a free shuttle to/from Foxwoods Now the reasons why there are no more points: - the rooms: thin walls and ceiling, strange noises during the night (maybe a nearby compressor), a bed in a metal frame that made pinging noises when you moved while sleeping. And the worst- the smell! Some kind of musty smell, maybe a cover up for old cigarette smell. The smell was so bad we brought air fresheners which didn't help. The smell permeated everything we brought into the room- clothes, luggage, bags. I had to wash, clean, aerate everything when I got home. - and the advertised "deluxe continental breakfast" did not exist. The breads were stale, no yogurt and the y hot food was make your own waffles. Other than some cereal, that was it. Definitely not deluxe

It trigger my asthma and I went down to the front desk saying that I couldn't stay in the room and requested a refund. The person working the desk said I could get a refund and we left and went to another hotel. Refund was not processed. Contacted Expedia, they went back and forth and was told I didn't qualify. I contacted the Hilltop and no supervisor will call me back. I have sent countless emails. No response. Called no one will call me back. The room smelled horrible. I've been a nurse for several years and honestly seems like a health hazard. I'm wondering if it could be mold. I am sensitive to smell but the more I thought about it the more I wonder if maybe everyone cannot smell it which means they aren't aware of the danger. I let the health department know as well.

The bed was on the firmer side and the pillows were terrible, super flat! The TV was sooo small (32 in)! The room had a fridge which froze everything we put inside. If you're going to Foxwoods it's super convenient, 5 min away. The restaurant in the lobby had a breakfast buffet for $16.95/person. Not sure if I'd stay again; pricey for what you got!

For a Hilton Hotel, I was pretty disappointed the colors, rug, and the furniture remind me of my grandmothers house/guest room. It doesn't really give me the upscale premium room I'd expect for a Hilton. Here's some things I noticed, - Grout around the edges of the tub is brown/black/green not white and is wet and the corners are slimy!! -The bed is slightly uncomfortable it feels like a cheap piece of foam - The TV is 32" 720p TV, sitting on a dresser that makes it look ridiculous, this TV is easily 8-10 years old if not more. I'm not expecting much for a hotel TV but I can't believe how poor quality it is. Overall 3/5 underperforming Hilton Hotel, only stay for purely Foxwoods convenience.

The hotel is an absolute dump, even from the pictures, sight-unseen IRL. There was a death in the family, and the "manager" [if you want to call him that] uses THAT as fodder to not reimburse me for a stay I was not able to complete. He is hiding behind his own shame. He is hiding behind latent admittance to his incompetence. He is in the absolute wrong industry. Hospitality is a guest-centric industry, and this guy has absolutely no clue what he is doing. Cigarette burns Bedbugs Broken jacuzzi jets Disgusting sheets Hypodermic needles Homeless bums A "manager" who works 4 hours a day....[that says a lot, doesn't it?] I have had to chase this manager down for the better part of a week. I have had to talk to expedia four times, if not more, just to try to get A QUARTER GRAND back, when I spent almost equally as much to get back to my family to prepare for a FUNERAL. My family member may be dead, but this manager is even colder. This place is a cancer on Connecticut commerce. This manager is a joke. From the porch, you also get a peek at the Mystic River and the Mystic Seaport. (I could see the Mayflower which was on a lift at the seaport for repairs-absolutely charming.) When you walk through the front door, you are greeted by artwork, books, and a parlor off to the right. There is a baby grand piano, tuned and ready to be played in the parlor. I just loved all the hand painted details by a local artist. It is a cozy, happy room. Walk straight through the front foyer and you enter the dining room which has coffee, teas, and water available 24/7. There was a plate of cookies on the table that were home made and out of this worldA scrabble game was set and ready to go. A well rounded breakfast menu was posted and you can order whatever you like, all home made including the granola. I am gluten free and Josephine was so accommodating. I even discovered a new GF bread that I thought was better than most I have tried. Josephine has a talent in the kitchen to say the least. Everything was delicious. There is a lot of local information on where to go and what to do. OK- now, the Mermaid Room This is not a large room but it has everything you need (including a little fridge) and the hand painted walls are an absolute study. To think one young lady produced all that art, a talent to be admired. There are 3 more rooms upstairs but I wanted to be on the main floor. I found the location perfect. It is not on the main drag so it isn't noisy but just walk a couple of blocks and you are right in the middle of downtown Mystic with all the glorious restaurants, cute shops, and a drawbridge over the Mystic River. 100% charm.
