What a great hotel. Super easy check in, room was very clean and had an awesome view. I had an excellent meal at craftsteak before the show i was going to. Unfortunately, i didnt gamble much, so cant really comment on that. The only negative i have is i feel like they overcharge for a room. When there's gambling at the hotel, it should always be on the reasonable side. Not sure they got that memo. read more

Me and my wife went there over night for our anniversary and stayed in a suite ,the room seemed clean enough till i really looked the jacuzzi had hairs and scum in it and some mold around the outside wall ,they put out a robe at night when i opened it it had a brown stain in it where there shouldn't be one also we pulled down the sheets to get inot bed and there was a stain on them and black lint underneath, also in the living room area didn't look like they vaccumed dirt on the floor to not ruin our anniversary i did not complain at that time sent a message when i got home not looking for anything in return but an appology over a week later no reply spending a night in a suite at mgm and eating drinking and gambling for two days is not cheap and to just cast aside a problem is bad business especially with new casino's beeing put up in mass. and ri.Next time i will go to mohegan and stay friends say its a better experience over all so thak you for nothing foxwoods read more

Extremely epic. This is what I would call a great alternative to VEGAS for the east coast. Tons of slots, tables, games + great clubs (SHRINE is always cracking on Friday and Saturday nights) and shopping if your wallet allows you to splurge. read more

I have experienced a whole lot better! I rented two rooms over this past weekend spending over $1300.00 just for the room rental - ridiculous in itself. ! waited 1 hour on Friday night to check in, never made it to the desk because I had to leave for a dinner party. Came back and waited another 2.5 hours to check in. Huge long line and only half of the check in terminals actually had people working on them. And each one had to run to the back room several times for each check in to talk to a manager, Disappearing for 10 - 15 minutes. I realize there was a fairly new computer system, and that causes delays, but at least have a full staff. They didnt seem to care at all that we missed part of our nights plans. And the only ones that received any comp or discount were the high rollers. Many people were turned away - including a sister of mine, as her reserved room had been mistakenly given out to someone else. Also, spending 600+ on a room shouldn't you expect a blanket of some sort - all we had was a sheet to cover with. And even though I asked housekeeping to leave one the second night - apparently they did not understand English because the second night still only a sheet to cover with. Cant wait to see if Foxwoods responds with some lame excuse, because they certainly wouldn't talk to me in person, and there is no way to get through to them on the phone! (I sat on hold 3 hours to make my initial reservations.) And for an hour on Sunday before giving up. read more

I went down to Foxwoods last Friday with my friends and was pleasantly surprised. MGM Grand's room was very nice - clean room, large bathroom with separated toilet, and EXTREMELY comfy bed and clean sheets. Compared to Grand Pequot Tower rooms I have been in, MGM room was soooooooooooooo much better. (Grand Pequot Tower towels were bad, so I used to bring my own towels and carpets are kinda dusty and views were not as good) We checked in at around 5:30pm and there was a long line and the line wasn't moving as quickly as I had hoped, but the staff that helped us was very friendly, gave us a room on the 24th floor with GREAT views!!! And it was only $55 for the night including taxes!! What a steal, right? And check out via TV menu was so convenient...My only complaint would be the late check-in time and early check-out (11am) read more

I would give 2.5 stars if I could... Ok, so this was my first visit to Foxwoods and the draw wasn't the slot machines but Jerry Seinfeld. He opened his act with a bit about the aggravating sequence of events that preceds the Foxwoods arrival (what to pack; what to wear; what time to leave; " I thought you said you knew the way...") but then he diplomatically omits the surprises that await when you walk thru the front door. On this night the check-in line looked more like airport check-in than hotel check-in, with the line snaking around turns three times. The line was composed of mostly young, unsophisticated types (sloppily dressed, often with a cigarette in one hand and, in one case, the other hand held a couple of bottles of vodka!). The stench of cigarette smoke in the lobby and especially in the casino ranges from obvious to overwhelming (I guess 'cause this is an Indian reservation, they're not subject to the cigarette ban that's been in effect in virtually all other enclosed spaces for years now). Tho I'd made a reservation for a non-smoking/King room more than 30 days in advance, at check-in the only non smoking room available was a handicap room with double beds (so much for romance!). The view was of a highway, but decor was pleasing (in browns and blues). We appreciated the free water bottles and the room seemed clean (tho the towels were very wrinkled. I don't know that I've ever seen freshly laundered towels wrinkled; they looked and smelled clean but...). The bed was kind of comfortable, except for a pretty discernable dip in the center that caused a bit of tossing and turning and resulted in a morning backache. The pillows were foam (not feather) which I didn't mind (I actually liked the longer-than-standard and abundance of pillows). After the interminably slow exit from the theater (there are emergency exits but these are not opened to help release the audience), we used the interior walkway (easy and convenient with stairs or escalators, and shop filled corridors with conveyor belt 'walkways') to dine at Al Dente in the Grand Pequot Tower (one of 3 hotel/casinos owned directly by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation). Grand Pequot seemed a little more quiet (just a little) and less smoke-filled (there were signs announcing smoke free zones but we didn't check them out) so if we return to Foxwoods, we'll stay here instead. read more

Worse stay at a hotel ever. Drunks screaming, fighting, banging on our door. This started about 1:30am. Then security comes up and joins in the screaming and fighting. The police. This went on for most part until about 4am. If you want to get some sleep stay elsewhere. All the drunks come back after the club Shrine closes. They should just close. I'm trying to plan a bachelor party and when I called down there simply to get some information about rooms the person answering the phone told me they couldn't help me then transferred me to a phone that was answered 3x! For the price of this hotel, stated to be a 4 star AAA, what a huge disappointment. The room was small, and full of dust. Room was beautiful, check in was smooth and the guy that checked us in was very nice. The only problem I had was before I checked in. My sister booked me a room for my 21st birthday and she called to change the reservation into my name or add my name to the reservation so I could check in. The girl she spoke to was completely rude as hell. She kept saying they couldn't make changes to the reservation because we booked through A third party (Expedia) and that there was nothing she could do the help us . My sister kept asking how we could get the situation resolved and the girl became even more rude and snarky saying there was nothing they could do for us . I then called and got told we could call Expedia and have them change the reservation on their end but I didn't understand why my sister and I had to go through 4 separate extremely rude conversations to get that information . Nice room but will probably never come here again due to the horrible hospitality I dealt with before even checking in . I'll stick with Mohegan . read more

This place is so lame, and they have HR language responses to their total disregard for hard working peoples time and money. I was a visitor with along with my wife with our best friends and this half assed dopey minded,no respect (again) for our hard earned time and money. What part don't they understand their job is to accommodate with a clean room one!!! And respectful service as we give them the same respect. But no everybody passes the buck then management jerks you off with some bull.... ! Language. Been were done with that for the last time!! Go next Store and your time and money will be adultly respected and appreciated!! Trust me, try it just once and you'll never go back to Foxwoods tower. I give credit where it's deserved and criticize where it's asked for! This isn't the first time my wife and I have been disappointed by this establishment, but we always gave them the benefit of the doubt because for example Bad day,New Help, overwhelmed due to large event etc. but even so, this is your only business! Bait and switch. The valet greeted me and was excellent. Got excited to check in and hit the casino...granted it was a Monday night. Two other people in line...two front desk people working "the line". It took 22 minutes to get to the counter. The two employees kept answering phones and didn't dare look at anyone on the line. The woman who checked me in didn't even offer an apology...she complained to me that she had to answer phones. Rather than open fire on her..I took my keys and focused on getting to the floor Room - PHENOMENAL!! Got a suite for $200 online. Amazing decor...great bed...killer shower/spa. On par with any great W Hotel. Back to bad - no bill under the door and I had to split. Called the operator who told me she couldn't email me a folio...transferred me to front desk...on hold for 10 minutes...I hung up. Great weekend stay at the Foxwoods Resort. Had a room at Fox Tower. Great view from the 28th floor - amazing sunset. Check in was a breeze. Room was spacious, bathroom was super. Instant hot water at the sink. Rain shower head in the shower - definitely need one of those at home! Downside - couldn't use the pool on Sunday. Well, if I wanted to pay extra for their pool party I could. Bummer - it turned out to be a spectacular day. Relatively quiet, but we could still hear the music from one of the bars late into the night (or early into the morning, depending on how you look at it). MGM hotel- we were in a penthouse sweet. The layout is nice and roomy and the rooms are very nice. They decorated the sweet nicely! I love having a full kitchen when you stay at a hotel. Then if you don't want to go out to eat you can use the kitchen. There is a master bedroom and bath along with a "guest bedroom" with it's own bathroom. It's one of the nicer hotel rooms i have been at. Anyways overall if you have the $$$ to put up for the room it's so worth it! read more

Great hotel and great service. Clean and quiet without all the hassle. Love the shopping downstairs.

Very disappointing! I have stayed here NUMEROUS times and have always enjoyed myself, but this time - not so much! Long story short, it was four of us for a birthday trip, we rented the "bed" at pool, arranged (and paid for)early check in to be able to enjoy the pool. Arrive at Valet: 7 cars deep - at least 20 minutes just waiting for them to allow us to drive up to valet. Finally after 3 people got out of cars to complain they let us through. Get inside - the line was ridiculous! Only 2 people at the check out counter. After waiting in line for so long our "early check in" was a joke! We ended up calling from the line to upgrade to VIP just to get checked in..... another $25. The room, falling apart, toilet paper roll hanging on a thread, mirror dirty, cig burn in curtains, the book for info was so tattered and sticky we couldn't even open it. Next the pool: there was about 100 teenagers there - some sort of dance competition. We are taken to the rented area poolside with bed and greeted buy our server. He was super nice but he was inundated with orders! We waited so long for drinks we ended up going to the bar and getting our own - another long line. Next up waiting for our food - we asked for our waitress 3 times.... 2 hours YES 2 hours still no order! We then had to go to Juniors to order our own food. The reason we booked the area is because it offered or own vip server - yet had to do it all ourselves anyway, and still had to pay for bed with server! I understand sometimes things happen, you can't control who and what is booked at pool and hotel, but the money we spent to reserve this room, early check in, added vip - (all at extra charge) totaling about 800 when all was said and done - for one night, didn't make it to the pool until about 4, the pool closes at 7, icky room, very slow, Long waits for everything, and nothing special about service, and a relaxing day for adults overshadowed but yelling teens, was not worth it at all! Just feel like it is now run down and the welcome that used to be fabulous at Foxwoods - is now more of a Blaise hello. Pretty positive next girls get away will not be here!! read more

Reason for 5 Stars? Front Desk person: Sheri.... When you arrive, look for her on the front desk. She handled our check-in the other day, and was outstanding. She is the essence of MGM Grand... Fox Tower specifically was a dumpy hotel. I would rate it somewhere between an Econolodge and a Clarion. THIS IS SHOCKING, tried to exchange non-functioning rented scooter for one that worked and was flat out refused, wife was stuck for 2 hours. Foxwoods blamed the scooter company and scooter company blamed Foxwoods. As for as the rest: The bed sagged, I would expect a good quality mattress from a casino hotel. The room showed obvious age, fabric chair & ottoman looked like one you would expect in low level motel, the bathroom sink had faucets that were loose and sagging(but functional) wood furniture had scratches that were not attended to and when arrived the room curtain would not close(gap of a foot or more. Maid supervisor said it would be fixed but when I returned appx 5 hrs later it was not done and had to go downstairs and talk to awful manager who didn't seem to like that after this long time I wanted it done right away. He was the same one on duty while was refused a functioning scooter. I recommend you go ANYWHERE OTHER THAN FOX TOWER. There were other problems and I wrote a letter to head of Foxwoods without the courtesy of a response which indicates what kind of place it is. read more

Spent 24 hours at Fox Tower with my boyfriend on 1/11/18. We live close by and just wanted a quick getaway from life. We rented the Director's Suite on the top (30th) floor because we wanted an in room jacuzzi. Very affordable during the week, especially with a AAA discount. Check-in was easy and went quickly.Despite the long lines in the lobby, we only waited 5 minutes or so. The desk agent was sweet and efficient. I had applied for late late checkout offered online and we were granted it. They charged an extra $67 to stay til 4 pm vs 11 am. Totally worth it in my eyes, especially because we didn't arrive til 4 pm on Thursday afternoon. Our room was number 30101. Be advised that this room faces Rt 2 and the roof of the parking garage and mall. Ask for room 30100 to have the woods side view. We didn't know this before we got upstairs or I would have specified. Still a cool view, but I would rather have been across the hall. There was no mini bar or snacks in the room, only an empty fridge, which struck me as odd in a suite. Room service only ran til 11 pm. This forced us to trudge across the casino at 3 am to find a late night snack, since our dinner at Cedars (see review) left us desiring something more and we were unable to sleep til we had food in us. Fuddruckers met our needs, but it is in the other part of the casino. It would have been much better if room service was available 24 hours a day, at least for the suites. I really didn't appreciate having to put pants back on. The jacuzzi in our room was great, though the drain needed to be played with for it to seal properly. Bed itself was awesome, but the pillows were so thick and huge that there was no way to get comfortable with one under your head. My boyfriend ended up taking the case off and filling it with a throw pillow off the sofa and some towels from the bathroom to create a pillow of normal dimensions. The room was a smoking room, but smelled fresh as a daisy, thanks to the super powerful air filter in the ceiling. I am a stickler for a clean hotel room but did not find any complaints related to housekeeping. Room was extremely clean and well decorated. We will definitely be back! read more

I will never EVER be staying in this hotel again. I originally had a reservation for a room in the great cedar, but changed dates due to a family emergency. When changing dates, Fox Tower became only hotel available for the new dates (October 30th-31st) and became aware why very soon after arriving. Check in was extremely slow. Stood in line for 45 mins. Got to front desk and was told a price of almost $50 more for the night than what was told over the phone. They asked a "manager" and very nicely (20 minutes later) came back and cut my rate in roughly half, which ended up being $40 less total than what I was originally told. So I arrive to my room (producer suite Room 24-114 or 24-116 and I am instantly greeted with a disgusting smell and a tv on at full volume (the tv was in desperate need of replacement due to severe pixelation). I go and do my thing in the casino and come back, and go into the bathroom, and there is hair near the bathtub and toilet. I keep a bottle of cleaner in my car in case of a spill in car, I had to go get in and clean the ENTIRE bathroom. So about an hour goes by, I go to close the shades, and notice a red substance at about eye level, where you'd probably grab the shade (these are the light blocking shades, not the thin decorative ones). I look closer, it looks like BLOOD. I try to ignore it and fall asleep. I wake up the next morning and am (on the left side of my body) COVERED in bug bites. I had 5 extremely large ones, the biggest being on my left arm. I go to check out, and show the man at the desk the largest bite which was on my left arm and had swelled to the size of a half dollar coin and the man at the desk (I think his name was Rashan, who was great) asked me if I wanted to speak to a manager, I declined at the time. He asked In I needed an emt, I also declined because I felt just a little "lost" at this point. The day after I wake up and not stop vomiting, and the larger bites swelled even more, the one on my arm was probably the size of an egg. I then called and waited on hold for about 45 minutes, and was told that the manager was not in her office and that she typically replies within a business day, and was sent to the managers voicemail. It's now almost a month later and still no response from Ms. Michelle Butler after leaving a voicemail describing what happened. read more

Stayed overnight. The room was beautiful and very clean. Enjoyed the pool area as well. Valet parking was easy and quick. Hotel staff was courteous and professional. The problem I had was checking-in and checking-out. The check-in process was very very slow and line was long. I've never experienced any process this slow. Once the room was ready, I had to wait in another line, which was slower than the check-in line, to pick up the key. To me, this was unacceptable. Now for the check-out issue. When I was checking-in, I was told checking-out would be quick if I did it by the television or phone. However, when I went to check-out, the check-out by television was unavailable at the time. So, I tried checking-out by phone. I was on hold for 10 minutes and just felt it would be quicker to just go to the front desk. Checking-in/out needs to be looked at and changed. No way should this take such a long time. read more

nobody answers the phone, i waited for 30 mins for somebody to come to the phone. when we finally arrived, there were two people at the front desk and we were the only people online waiting for the next desk to open, it took 45 to check in, 45 mins!!!!!!! the guy said the room i reserved was no longer available that he would try to find us a new room. are you kidding me??? we finally go upstairs and there is a cleaning lady in the room, after trying to tell this lady who spoke no english for 5 mins, that this was our room, the guy from downstairs came up and said sorry he assigned us the wrong room, to please wait in front of the new room, while he sends up a bellhop with our new room key. what was the point of comming upstairs to tell us you gave us the wrong room, without the room key? so unprofessional! also when we were doing the checking in we asked for a 12pm checkout instead of 11am. guess what?!?!? the next day at 11:02am there comes the cleaning lady, tell us in broken english it was time for us to leave the room, she needs to clean it. WOW! i couldnt believe it! that guy was so lucky he wasnt downstairs when we got there!.... other thing to remember, yes there is A (one) casino is the mgm grand hotel, but the main foxwoods casinos (there are many) are alllllll the way across the whole grounds, it is a good 5-10 walk. just spend the money and stay at the two trees hotel or whatever it is called, dont bother with this place honestly if your looking to have a nice time in a more upbeat area with more eating, stores, casinos options. if you are looking for calm and quiet stay at the mgm grand then. read more

I went to Foxwoods with my fiance for the first time for an anniversary. I loved it. I'm not into the whole gambling thing, but it was a nice little getaway, we're north of MA so it wasn't too far but just far enough. We stayed in the Directors Suite at MGM, and it was the middle of the week. Rate was very reasonable. Free valet parking. We got to check in VIP (fast, no line, in it's own private little area). I love little perks like that. We ordered room service, very nice, set up a table for us and everything. They offered turn down service which was nice, even though we didn't need it but still nice! We got a nice little hand written card wishing us a pleasant stay from VIP services. Again, loved it, it's nice to have great customer service. We also were allowed late check out which was great. And I left my phone charger there so I called them 2 days later and they're going to mail it out to us. Overall it was a fabulous experience. read more

I want to start off by saying that my husband and I always enjoyed staying here, Ive even had my bach party here. We are normally very pleased with the hotel, but my current visit was an absolute nightmare. I had left a "do not disturb sign" on the door of my room when going down to eat breakfast on the morning my husband and I were leaving. The cleaning crew or whatever employee had access to my room went into the room and stole my cell phone. I came back from breakfast to find my phone was missing. I called security because I was sure I left it in the room and that someone had taken it. The floor supervisor came to the door and confirmed no one would go in the room if the sign was hanging. I have a 8 month old son at home and knew the phone was in the room charging for our trip back to Long Island NY. I called security and they told me they would go through the security footage. 2 hours later I called and they said they were handling the situation and it would take more time.Throughout the whole investigation they did not confirm whether or not someone had entered my room (I'm sure they didnt want to incriminate themselves). As I previously stated I had a baby at home and had someone watching him so now as I was waiting I knew the more I would have to sit in traffic, and that my day off was wasted, and that I was leaving the babysitter in a bind. Long story short an employee had accessed my room and stole my phone. I involved the police they tracked him down and got my cell phone back after 4 hours of waiting. The person who stole my phone also took out my SIM card so the phone could not be tracked or located. I was planning on leaving Foxwoods at 11 I ended up leaving past 4pm and didnt get home until 730p and then had to go to Verizon and get a new SIM card. The thing that really upsets me the most is that the hotel treated me terrible during this entire investigation and if i hadnt gone down to talk to a manger no one would have even apologized to me. I think they expected me to happy I had a non working phone back and did not care that I was violated and robbed by someone they employ. And that my night away turned out to be a disaster and ruined my day off. As many of you know when you have young children the time you have away to enjoy by yourself is few and far between they took something that was supposed to be my husband and my retreat to day of horror. They eneded up comping my room for the one night (which in my opinion was the least they could have done). They should have been empathetic and went out of there way to make me feel as though I mattered. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I STEP FOOT IN THAT ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN! read more

I have stayed at the MGM nearly every week for the past few months in their producer suites since my father is an Ace player. The rooms were generally clean and well kept. The only reason I had given a one star rating is because of the hotel's inability to have their outdoor pools clean on a daily basis or at least every other day. I had addressed this issue with the front desk and also mention it to the VIP check-ins, but it seems like they're ignoring the issue. One of the reasons why I stayed at the MGM and not at Foxwoods' Pequot hotel or at their Grand Caesar hotel is because of the pool privileges. Do you really think I would like to walk all the way over to Foxwoods to play and enjoy the restaurants and walk back to MGM at 2am to sleep? Normally, the pool guy would have the pool clean by 7:30am, i know this because I would always try to get an even numbered room to look down at the pool. For the past few weeks, the pool has not been maintained even after their Liquid Sundays, which is basically a pool side party. You would see all the trash they have in the pool from the night before. If you go to the front desk or ask the other staff at the pool about when or if they'll clean the pool, they would either tell you that they don't know or that the pool guy has other priorities and would probably be back. I waited nearly 2 hours and nothing! One of the consecutive days stays, the pool was not cleaned for days in a row. This is something the hotel needs to figure out... read more

Worst hotel I've been to in a long time! The line was incredibly long when I went to check in and it seemed like they were taking forever just to get to the next person. When I got up to my room my key which I got two one for me one for my friend, neither one worked. Called down to the front desk and they sent up two new cards. Went out that night tried to use my debit card for a drink it got denied. I checked my card and the hotel charged me an additional fee which they did not tell me they were doing when I checked in! Went down to the front desk and they said I would get it back in a day or two even after I said no one told me I was getting charged an additional fee. Went to scorpion bar which was a blast and at the end of the night went back to my room to go to bed only to find out my room key didn't work AGAIN! Called down from a phone by the elevator and they said it would take 15-20 minutes to bring us a new key. Finally at check out I told them what happened and the girl had nothing to say just sent us on our way. Will not be recommending this hotel to anyone!!!! read more
