This was my first time eating at The Foundry. My friends and I had a great time. Our server was excellent--he was very attentive! Although we sat inside, I loved that we had the option to eat outside. With all that being said, unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Simply put - the food was awful. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles were hard, and the chicken was like an overcooked chicken patty. The only thing that made it edible was dipping it in BBQ sauce. My friends also thought their dishes were lackluster. We did enjoy the bottomless mimosas, though. Overall, it was a fun dining experience, but I would not return. read more

I woke up Sunday morning deciding that I wanted to stop by the beach and have brunch. I've had the foundry bookmarked for a while. So I decided it was time to give them a try. I set a reservation for 1 PM, and arrived a little early. The woman was able to sit us right away inside, my mom wanted to sit outside and asked the hostess was that possible she said it would be a 40 min wait. We chose to wait, witch only ended up being 10 mins. Our waitress was very helpful and sweet, I ordered the mimosa to drink and to start the sticky buns. The sticky buns were not my favorite it was a little to thick with no moisture. I ordered the braised short rib for my entree it was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed it throughly. And for dessert the coffee and doughnuts. The coffee is actually like a espresso pudding. Its sooo freaking good. Anyways service was good, 2 out of 3 of my food items were good. I had to give into my Curiosity and ordered the eggplant meatballs. Let me tell you what a fabulous idea this is. The texture is great, very on point and most of the time with vegetarian or vegan food items it's a fail via texture. The concept of this dish is great. Flavor wise it was alittle bland inside the meatball & the dish needed more pesto to compensate. I would love to see this menu item recreated into an even better version - as a gluten free, vegan, eggplant meatball with a lot more flavor whiles stacked on top of heriloom tomatoes & fresh basil. read more

Great location in Pompano. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to go with friends. Service is always pretty good. My friend and I stopped in yesterday for lunch and we we're super happy to see that they we're still serving Brunch. My friend ordered the Salmon & Avocado toast and finished her entire plate. I've been to this restaurant many times. Mostly for lunch and ordered their drink + app + entree special. This time around there were 4 total in my party and we went for dinner time. We ordered an array of shareable plates and shared them all. It was really good and we enjoyed each dish! Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly - great service! We came here for happy hour., which goes from 4-7 pm. They have a really nice happy hour, $5 mojitos, margaritas, wines, etc.. They also have a happy hour food menu. I had the pork tacos, 3 corn tortillas filled with pork. They were very good. My friend ordered the mahi sandwich and french fries (not on the happy hour menu). I ordered the sushi stack and while the quality of the sushi was excellent, the rice is very cold. The meatball appetizer was very good and flavorful. The ribeye steak was the perfectly the hamburger with barbecue sauce on the side was good. The french fries were too thick. We had excellent service and the manager came over to switch out the zucchini squash with mashed potatoes that arrive piping hot and flavorful. The Foundry is a fun local place in Pompano. The offered good drink specials for happy hour (4-7pm) and their brunch is also great. The food choices I've had (since I've been more than once) are always good, in my opinion. Last time I was there I went for Friday night happy hour. I got happy hour margaritas ($6) which were good. The apps were the calamari (tender), mini sliders (also good) and the coconut shrimp (I don't usually like coconut shrimp but I liked these!). I have always had great service here. Great place to sit outside and relax with family and friends! A long time ago parking in the lot was free but the only thing is paying for parking, which isn't terrible it's just the norm now when you go anywhere close to the beach. read more

I hate to leave this reviews but we went last night for dinner and this is the first time we seat at a table instead of the bar and our experience wasn't good at all . Our sever didn't really care . She was cold and wasn't nice at all and did her job half way. Her answers about the menu were short and not a nice attitude . After that I really didn't want to stay there just did for the kids . Also a server when they hear about gluten free options you should never think is just a preference and try to help a little more and don't say oh the ahí pone tuna is pretty much gluten free only the bottom part is not because of the sauce . They should care more ! It was 7 of us . 2 adults , 2 teenagers and 3 kids . We ordered right away 2 pizzas and chicken tenders. After we ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and wings with hot sauce in the side . A few minutes for a few appetizers ( clams , ceviche and tuna poke ). Our server wasn't around much after seems she had tables everywhere . she never really checked after we got our food and if she did was also to the end so we had to wait to get hit sauce , extra dressing , napkins and refills on lemonade and water. . We had to another server for help (blonde) and actually in the few minutes she helped us she was fantastic. Closer to the end our server of course check on us and brought us the check and she actually stayed waiting for us to give her a credit card . Really ? We told her to come back . We spend around $150 with 3 cokes , lemonade and one beer . I love the foundry because of special memories at that place but last night wasn't good at all . I had a very good hamburger and a cold brew with a delicious key line Brûlé dessert ( I live locally. ) and I like that spot with atmosphere that is perfect place to grab a meal before or after the boat or beach , beer was cold and food was a burger as nd a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese cooked perfectly. At sunset bar filled up Clean bathrooms . And hanging bulb lighting . 30 bucks a person is about the price not go bad for an upper end burger and chicken breast sandwich/ on good quality rolls I would say check it out, if your in the area. We were sat outdoors because it was a nice breezy night. We started with a cocktail and our server was very thorough with any questions we had and recommendations. Since we went on a Tuesday I opted for the short rib tacos. The portion was very generous that I wound up wrapping some to go. Definitely a great spot with large menu options and good drinks. Reviewed based off of getting it Delivered Anything lobster in a Ravioli and I'm there! Sheesh was this totally worth the $25! As you can see on the inside it was a filled ravioli indeed. Came a light topping of mushrooms and asparagus. The food, however, tends to be pretty mediocre. The chicken wings are dry, the shrimp and grits were really bad, lacked taste and the grits were just like a pile of sand. I can't remember ever coming here and getting anything I thought was good. There are too many better places to go. Avoid this place. read more

Came by at 9:30pm hoping to grab a quick drink and a couple of apps before they closed at 10pm. The bar looked like it had been shut for a while and when the bartender finally came around, he said he couldn't serve us as he had already closed his drawer. I said the closing time on the door was still 30 mins away and he said it was summer and slow therefore he closed the bar early. When I said it says 10pm on the door, he said "I am not corporate ". Happy Hour turned into dinner with friends and we had a fun time. Friday early evening arrival and parking was free around the neighborhood. Plenty of outside tables and very dog friendly. There are 2 inside bars and we found seats at the front bar. Great Happy Hour menu for food and drinks. The mini sliders are great for sharing as well as the wings. If you are sharing wings and want to try the Buffalo sauce or the Sweet Asian sauce, ask for the wings dry with the sauce on the side. It also comes with blue cheese dipping dressing. We had some drinks and they were very well priced and the bar service was great. We had a dinner reservation for 6 @7 and we were seated promptly. Our table was back by the back bar which is much quieter. The service was really good and everything came out as ordered. We started with a few appetizers. The short rib flatbread was flavorful and had a nice crisp crust. The Eggplant meatballs were juicy and great for sharing. The baked brie was good but it could have been a little hotter so that the cheese oozed out when cut. Three of us ordered The Mister fish Seafood Bowl which was recommended by our server and she was spot on. It was full of fresh shrimp, calamari, clams, Mussels and white fish in a delicious broth with a side of garlic toast. More of a meal than a small plate. The fish tacos were loaded with Mahi and fresh fillings. The Primavera pizza was large enough for more than 1 person and had plenty of fresh toppings. The Sixty South Salmon was also a hit with the Spaghetti squash and Brussel sprouts as a side to a large piece of fresh grilled salmon. We skipped the desserts but enjoyed the evening very much and look forward to coming back for brunch which also has a great menu. read more

I rarely give bad reviews especially if I've only gone to a place once, but... I'll start with the unlimited mimosas and bloody marry. I ordered the Bloody Mary first. I asked for a spicy Bloody Mary, what I received was no spice, and no flavor. I don't think I've ever had a Bloody Mary this bad... not even on a plane. It was flavorless, vodkaless, and just plain awful. I opted to switch to the mimosas. I typically get it with cranberry and no OJ. The temperature was if the sparkling wine had been outside since the sun rose. I asked for ice to put in it hoping the waiter would get the point, but he didn't. We order octopus at every new place we try if it's on the menu. Let's just say for a place that offers wood fired pizza, they should probably apply that concept to the octopus. My wife went to the restroom and on the way back she saw meatballs on the counter to be delivered. Ten minutes later the waiter came by to apologize for the wait on food. She said to me "I hope those weren't the meatballs we ordered"... guess what they were. The only saving grace was the pizza. We ordered the chicken and prosciutto pizza. It was good but not great. Most times I'd say "we will give this place another try" but not this time. I've read all of the reviews and knew what to expect and I still gave it a shot... next time I'd probably try the place next door. Service was ok. read more

So good. Really good. The siblings took us here. Covid precautions in full force. The place is so clean. Let's talk food. I had the French Dip. The thinly sliced ribeye was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The bread was very good as well. The accompanying Au Jus and special treat horseradish made this a great sandwich. It came, upon request, with what is likely the best Mac N Cheese of all time. It was creamy and delish. The treat was at the bottom. The creamy sauce that settled was a great sauce to dip some fries into. The others had: a basic breakfast, which was enjoyable. Another had avocado toast with salmon. She raved about it. And the other had their Benedict. She loved it with asparagus and sauce. Overall good score is excellent. The service was equally as good. The server, William, was a treat. He was engaging and fun and good. He was really on top of things. As an extra, a gentlemen, who appeared to be a manager, was also all about the service. Well done. If I had to make a small comment, I thought the food to value was a bit off. $18 for a friend dip was a little steep. The others were about the same. The service here is awful, and I can say that with it being the second time I came. I sat at a halfway filled bar seat and waited 10 mins before even getting recognized. The people next to me were happily helped but I was just glanced over. No restaurant should treat their patrons this way and I'm deeply upset this happened yet again. Management needs to address this issue and at the very least check on the patrons at the bar. read more

Went for Father's Day brunch with a reservation at 12:15. We were seated pretty quickly which was appreciated since we came hungry. I ordered the French toast and it came in a large portion and was delicious. My boyfriend opted for the chicken and waffles - he said the chicken was good but waffles were meh. We loved the decor inside and felt the restaurant was kept clean and well taken care of. Our only two gripes were that service was SLOW. The other is that when I called ahead to ask how much valet was I was told $5 but then at arrival the valet told me it was $7. If you want a tasty burger on the Main Street in Pompano Beach the Foundry delivers. There is a great bar area that allows you to be outside but have access. The Foundry burger was not overstuffed and had just about the right amount of lettuce, cheese and tomato. The accompanying fries were warm and salted and a good side.
