I came to the Foundry for brunch on Sunday. We had a reservation for noon and I was the first there. I asked to be seated outside and they took us to a side seating area. We asked to be moved to the front but we were moved to a very sunny table we asked for them to open up the awning some more, but the waitress did not do that. She said she would ask the manager but never follow through needless to say it was a very hard couple of hours. To start we ordered the bottomless mimosas. To be quite frank, the mimosas were not very good. They did give us a few refills, but they were serving them out of pitchers that were already premade so they were not bubbly and they did not have enough orange juice, just a hint. I know I should be happy with that because that means more alcohol, but I like my mimosas to be more balanced. As far as food I ordered the brunch bowl which came on a plate lol. It was not very tasty. The salad barely had any dressing, the quinoa was super bland, the eggs didn't have any salt or pepper, I can just go on. It was a perfectly bland plate that I did not finish. Service was good. Our waitress came by a few times. I suppose I could've address my concerns with her, but my food was just too bland to have any redemption, so I ate a little bit of it and called a day. She was nice enough, nothing out of this world but it was not bad service. they were quite busy so I appreciate she came around at all. I am not sure how this place is outside of their brunch. I know that I would not come back here for their brunch. I would be willing to give it a try for dinner or drinks and appetizers at some other point. read more

I visited the Foundry on a lovely Sunday afternoon! They were pretty empty & parking was easy & free. My group (6) was easily accommodated with no wait. Overall the service was great with good recommendations from the waiter and quick service. I ordered the recommended IPA, 26 Degrees, which is brewed nearby, and the short-rib grilled cheese. The sandwich was mostly short rib but perfectly balanced the cheese, which was great! I also sampled some of their famous Parmesan truffle brussel sprouts, which were honestly better than the fries!! Disclaimer: this review is based solely on the happiest of hours.. when the drinks/food flow freely and cheaply. Happy hour is M-F 4pm- 7pm and Saturday 3pm-6pm. The restaurant itself is definitely one of a kind in its concept and decor. The foundry is based around the history of America and the industrial revolution. Basically paying tribute to hard American work ethic. This is reflected in the decor from wall to wall, and interestingly they also have some artifacts from American history on display as well. They pride themselves on fresh, hand made food cooked on an open flame using white oak. Yum! Walking in I was surprised how bustling it was for happy hour, I clearly have came to the right place. I asked the hostess if happy hour was only at the bars (both which were jam packed) and to my delight they honor it at the tables as well . They have an indoor and outdoor bar. I immediately scoped out the cocktail specials and I zeroed in on Don Q Puerto Rican Rum.. I just literally sat down and already I am in love.. or is it restaurant lust?!? So many places I go to and they don't carry Don Q..muy triste! I ordered a strawberry mojito with Don Q of course.. it was perfect.. not too strong not too sweet and fresh strawberries. At 5.00 a pop.. These went down pretty smooth! With Three of us at the table, we decided to order a bunch of bites and go to town. Blackened fish tacos, polpette (thank you previous reviews for this recommendation, my fellow yelpers never do disappoint), fire roasted wings, and short rib flat bread. All dishes were beyond delicious and for the amazing prices, the amount of food was definitely worth it. My biggest pet peeve is when restaurants cut the price down for happy hour but the portion wouldn't sustain a bird.. Not the case here at all. We hit this place up after spending a day on the boat. We ordered the mussels to start mmmm so good. And I ordered the sushi stack for my entree and I was very pleased!! The sushi stack was uuhhhmazing, the fish here is hella fresh please get it if you come here you will not be disappointed. My bf got the tuna stack and he absolutely loved it. This place is great with seafood! We did not order drinks (we were drinking all day) so cannot comment on that. My friend ordered the lobster ravioli and it was also very good!! If you're in the area, check it out! Service was great, our server was on point with water and taking and delivering our food. Very professional and kind. We were able to be seated outside within minutes of arrival midday on a Saturday. Great outdoor area/patio off the bar. Our server was friendly and knowledgable of the menu items. The burrata was one of the best I've had, wrapped in prosciutto and drizzled with a balsamic glaze. The overall presentation was excellent. We were warned that the shrimp and grits were very spicy but I feel that they were appropriate for the style of dish being prepared. Perfect creole flavor and spice level. They also are not stingy on the number of shrimp in the dish. Sometimes, restaurants fill the plate with the grits or vegetables, but the Foundry has a large portion in the dish. The mahi fried fish sandwich was also very flavorful with a good amount of spice from the jalapeño slaw. Overall the service was friendly and the meal was delicious. It reminded me of chicken katsu . & The Graham Cracker French Toast which came with a lemon pastry cream, seasonal berries, and cream cheese icing. w/additional side of eggs and bacon. This place really is worthy of a visit. The food is delicious. Our server Chris was great. We were totally those people that brought their dog with them and they were so kind serving her a bowl of water. I'm sad we haven't come here sooner. The pizza was my favorite, the Brussel sprouts delish. My fiancé and bestie loved the tacos and the short rib flat bread was tasty. We were disappointed that a group of 4 came in 5mins after us (a group of 2 plus dog stroller) and were seated before us due to them complaining, but otherwise it was a good time.Bottomless bloodys and mimosas, food is good, and prices are normal for this area. I think they are light staffed as are most restraints due to the recent pandemic, but their staff were friendly. read more

Stopped a the Foundry last night for drinks after having dinner somewhere else. Past experiences of The Foundry have been pretty good; not tonight. The place was pretty empty inside with four people at the bar, hardly any tables filled inside, and some people sitting outside. Was served pretty quickly by Jacque (server) and drink orders placed; took a little longer than expected for two basic drinks, but not a big deal at all. Finished those drinks and never saw a server again for literally 20 minutes after the drinks were gone, so probably 40 minutes. Had to get up, go locate my server and ask for two more drinks. Waited yet another 15 minutes with no drinks. Again had to go locate my server and tell him to cancel the drinks and just bring me my check; went somewhere else where service is a priority. Not an apology, no offer to comp a drink. Just a $27 bill for two small rocks glass mixed drinks. Never again. Two basic drinks and have to wait over a half hour; come on. I understand everyone is understaffed and if the place was even remotely busy I would get it but that was definitely not the case here. read more

Sat at the bar, it's summer so it wasn't busy and staff members seemed to be helping each other. The establishment was nice and clean . Loved the fact that I asked for a drink off the menu (jalapeño cucumber margarita) and the bartender was happy to make it! Lobster ravioli came out nice and hot, great portion. My husband and I have been frequent customers of the Foundry. Always enjoyed going to our local restaurant. However, we have noticed in the past year a decline in the quality of the food and service. Last night, I went to the Foundry with my husband and family to celebrate new year. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The food was cold, our beverages were warm, waiter hardly came to our table to check on us and there was no champagne toast at midnight as promised and advertised on the Foundry Facebook page. The champagne was distributed after we paid the bill and on our way out! All televisions were set to sports channels, instead of having at least one TV set to the new year's countdown. The entire night was a disaster! We would have been better staying home. The Foundry needs to get their act together! Such a shame. read more

First, Frank...our server extraordinaire, was the best of the best. He steered me toward the most delicious dinner. The fish special, which was super fresh sautéed Pompano, on a bed of rice pilaf, topped with an arugula/heirloom tomato/pickled red onion salad. A little of everything, on the fork, was the perfect bite...really delicious! My husband aka cheap date...went for the primavera pizza...mozzarella/fontina/gruyere cheeses, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, zucchini, caramelized onions and basil. He loved it. From what I could see they only offer one dessert...and, it's a winner. Donuts with the most delicious expresso pot de creme...oh, so good! Customer service was good. We had a larger party and our server handled it pretty well. I had the the short ribs with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. The short ribs tasted ok. This place is very yummy. We love going for the unless mimosas. I'm not a huge fan of Imosa so my server brought us a glass of champagne instead and a little bit of grapefruit juice. I also shared the breakfast burger with a friend and it was so good. I got the meat medium and it was juicy. I would definitely come back here especially for their brunch. read more
