To my surprise the owners texted to check on our progress. Not once did they ever have anything but a positive attitudes. We made it in and got settled very late. The time difference had us off slightly. The whole cabin was well furnished and extremely clean. It was very roomy and came with amenities most 5 star hotels don't! I was completely shocked at the experience and have now found a new place for my family to go whenever we feel a need to "get away", which is often! Upon our departure, the owner was even nicer than when we first met! I am so pleased with this place I will recommend you trying it out for yourself. The water makes you sick to where you have to go to the hospital. I wouldn't recommend this Inn for anyone. And it isnt up to code, hasn't been for years and years. I'm worried for anyone's safety being in there. And the owner is completely aware of all of these problems but refuses to fix any of these issues.

This hotel is clean and has a comfortable living area. The complimentary breakfast is good and it includes coffee, juice, bagels,waffles, breakfast sandwiches, and cereal. The location is close to downtown Manistee (including Lake Michigan beaches, etc.) The staff is professional and friendly. Very soon there will be a Starbucks adjacent to the parking lot. While the timing was inconvenient, the larger concern was the staff's complete lack of empathy regarding the disruption and the effort involved in relocating all of our belongings, including clearing out the kitchen and food items. I requested a refund for the remaining nights so we could move to another hotel, which required approval from the property since the reservation was made through a third-party booking service. Although staff verbally stated they were willing to accommodate this, they repeatedly refused to answer the calls needed to authorize the refund. This lack of cooperation made an already stressful situation unnecessarily difficult.
