The time difference had us off slightly. The whole cabin was well furnished and extremely clean. It was very roomy and came with amenities most 5 star hotels don't! I was completely shocked at the experience and have now found a new place for my family to go whenever we feel a need to "get away", which is often! Upon our departure, the owner was even nicer than when we first met! I am so pleased with this place I will recommend you trying it out for yourself. There isn't any closet or hanging rack, which would have been quite handy. But I'll deal with not having one here, seeing as overall the place was clean and comfortable.

We stay at the Cloud 9 when we are fishing for salmon and steelhead, and the owner has always given us some helpful hints and tricks to land fish. I've always gotten the feeling that they just want everyone to have an enjoyable time, no matter why they are up there. We have stayed in Cabins 1 and 4. Cabin 1 has a bedroom and a living room area, and cabin 4 is more of a studio type cabin. Both have kitchenettes with everything you need. There is a swingset behind the cabins that my son likes to play on, and also a provided fish cleaning station so that you can bring your catch back with you. You can't go wrong staying at the Cloud 9!

This ranch did not disappoint. Each room is decorated so cute, the beds were very comfortable and having a private bathroom for each room was a defendant plus. The breakfast was homemade and very delicious! The owner made sure each room was clean and even asked us if the breakfast time was good for us. You won't get this kind of service at a hotel. The surrounding ranch was beautiful. Sitting on the large deck overlooking the horse ranch with coffee in hand was so calming. I wanted to stay longer. I would recommend staying here for as long as your vacation allows. You may even bring your horse or book to ride their horse. They have a large property with trails, along with state land behind them which also has many trails. I would recommend staying here, you won't want to leave.

For the slopes, they had so many lines for all different level of skiing. They had multiple sides to the mountain and even had a bar at the top that offered alcohol, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks and even chili and hot dogs. I am at a beginner level and the green lines were still a tad more difficult, but everyone going down looks out for everyone. I was very impressed with the ski patrol as a fell quite a few times and they were there to check on me. The area itself was very clean and again, everything is easily walkable. I noticed an outdoor playground for the kiddos when it's warmer out to play on. The food options here are good. Almost everywhere was a bit crowded, but we were able to wait for our food and then take it back to the Airbnb. I was very impressed with this place on every level. I will be coming back and staying longer next time.

This was a time saver. -Do get to the mountain by mid-morning to secure close parking, maximize your ski time, and enjoy the runs before the crowds arrive (and they will). -Do consider coming on a Wednesday. A lift ticket in 2026 is only $45 versus the $105 I dropped for a Saturday. Shout-out to the ski staff for their overall hospitality and making sure folx got onto the lifts quickly and safely. It appeared to be a smooth operation. Another shout-out to the ski instructors who transformed my nieces into skilled skiers in just one lesson. Though this was my first time at Crystal Mountain, it will not be my last.

Once that mystery was solved we went in and ate. Food is good, decent beer selection, and great people watching. This was during summer and when the off-road vehicle crowd rolls in, the show begins! They put the North in Up-North. I really don't have any recommendations other then that. It's the only place to eat for like 1000 miles around, so go check it out.

My family discussed our options and about 30 minutes later we called back to reserve the room, minus the child, the child would stay home. I was questioned about why we were coming up, the owner stated "she wouldn't have rented out 1 room for just Saturday but her husband already told us he would so...." Then she questioned me about who was staying in the room. I stated myself, my boyfriend, his sister and Her wife. Then I was told "I couldn't sleep in the room with other people!" I finalized the room and hung up. Not 1 minute later she called me back and asked me about the child and where they were going to be. At this point my boyfriend spoke up and said "I get the feeling you don't want our business." And she stated "I will cancel your reservation." And hung up. Why??? Homophobic? We are all adults, we have good jobs, 2 of them are Union workers. I am upset, disgusted, and horrified that someone would treat us this way. We were TRYING to support local businesses during covid but instead our money is now going to a major chain. Too bad. We come up there 4x a year for mud bogging and could have been repeat customers.
