The room was very clean and comfortable had been updated not to log ago. The towels was very nice a definite upgrade from standard hotel motel fare. The bathroom was a little snug but not to uncommon for the era this place was built. One of the best things was the ability to open the windows and get fresh air into the room, had a newer flat screen TV with lots of good channel selections and the WIFi worked great. I will defenitly be staying here again next time I visit Ludington.

From the always available coffee, to the snacks, to the small fridge full of refreshing non-alcoholic beverages, to the fresh baked cookies, you start to feel like old friends almost immediately! The rooms at Hart House are very tastefully decorated. Each with it's own unique character. Don't want to set in your room? Go down to the parlor/setting room and read a book or play a game. There is almost always relaxing music playing in the background while you're there. Not into that? Then try the super relaxing jacuzzi or ignite the fire in the fire pit (not the best description) and relax by the fire. But the best part about staying at the Hart House is Patrice's cooking!!! Oh My Gosh! The breakfasts we received each of our three mornings there were just so indescribably delicious! Patrice is extremely cognizant of her guests likes, dislikes, allergies, etc. We enjoyed sausage, egg and cheese sliders; fresh berries; breakfast banana splits; poached eggs with english muffin bread toasted; fresh homemade cinnamon rolls; baked apples; and a basil pesto omelet with ham, potatoes, tomatoes and english muffin toast. We did not have to stop for lunch any day after our breakfast! Would we go back? In a heartbeat! We had a wonderful time!!

This bed and breakfast is definitely worth the money and i greatly advise checking it out for yourself.

When you enter you walk into the dining room. From the dining room, there is a door that can be closed/locked which goes into the living/tv room. From here there is a door leading to a fenced back yard area with a swimming pool. The next room is the bedroom and then the bathroom. In the morning the hosts deliver breakfast to the dining room area and since there is a door separating you from the dining area, you keep your privacy yet have hot breakfast delivered to your table. Breakfast is pretty amazing and plentiful and we received a full pot of hot coffee. The property is huge with lots of mowed trails to explore on a lightly sloping terrain. The place is clean, 'country', and very relaxing. We enjoyed our stay immensely and intend on coming back again.

If you are a single female, I would strongly consider staying somewhere else, anywhere else, for…read moreabout $5 more per night... I arrived after about four hours travel time from my home location and when I approached the Office I was met by a male front desk attendant, whom initially seemed nice enough. He asked about my reservation and I could visually make out the "erased" penciled-in reservation on a notebook-style reservation book. He told me that my $90 reservation was actually $120. Fun, and Thanks. While taking my information (even though this was initially booked online, cancelled and reserved again with an Agent at the Motel for a different date via phone), the male front desk attendant asked me TWICE if I was "Ok". I'm not sure what he meant by Ok... Was I acting tired, weird, off??? This was approximately 7pm at night. I was one of three cars in the parking lot. I asked the front desk attendant if he knew where the nearest car wash was and he again acted like I was coming from another planet. Dropped off a few items in my room and headed to the car wash, 1/4 mile away. Before I left for the carwash, the woman in the room to the right was outside smoking and talking about her SSI. When I got back from the carwash, the woman in the room to the left of me was outside smoking, talking on her phone and then when back inside her room to yell at a child, which was completely audible in my room. And then there is my room, first floor with two windows... Within about five minutes of arriving back at my "overly rustic" disgusting room, I realized that one of the windows was open (due to a fly buzzing in the window) and then discovered NEITHER of my first floor windows had locking mechanisms. My front door did not have a deadbolt. I was only in the bathroom for a half a second and don't know if there was a third window in there. In addition to nothing looking like it was presented online, aka the hotel family owners who wanted a hotel and five acres for their family to thrive on, I realized I was at the "rape hotel" and everything thing seemed beyond risky. Tried to withdraw my request to stay the night but the front desk attendant was on a dinner break. Dropped my keys in the box and he popped out of nowhere. The front desk attendant offered to put me in a different room but quite honestly, if you are going to put a single female in a first floor room where the windows don't lock, there is no deadbolt and the pictures on the internet look nothing like the actual room with surrounding subsidized rooms for the less fortunate... I was done with the experience. Thanks for the memories, glad I wasn't on the roster of victims that night... I wish I would have taken more pictures but will share the pics I have. Ultimately, I did not respond in time to my challenge from my Cap One dispute. Don't waste your SAFETY, time or money...
