Alma did an A-MAZING job showing us all the different types of hardwood flooring options with an impact-resistant protective finish that is available. After shopping several flooring stores over the past 6/8 months, Alma stood out as she seriously knew the business. With her knowledge and experience, she helped tremendously. After installation, Alma even called to ensure we were happy. We will definitely recommend her to both our friends and family!!! Thank you Alma!!! :) read more

I highly recommend The Flooring Station. Within a three months timeframe, I have used this flooring company twice. Initially, I went to them to get flooring for a rental. I had the pleasure of working with Tracy Klockenbrink throughout this process. Tracy explained the pros and cons of the many options between LVT, wood laminate and carpeting. The Flooring Station was so easy to work with. Tracy gave me a number of ideas helped me with the color choices, design aspects, ways to save on costs etc. She is excellent to work with. I chose a wood laminate option. The installation process was easy to get through as Tracy and her team coordinated all aspects of the installation and the communication was excellent. The workmanship was beautiful. Within 2 months, I had a water intrusion incident where water spread over several rooms on the first floor. It was a disaster, and I had to have some the flooring in a few rooms removed and the walls cut up 2 feet. I was beside myself. Again, I worked with Tracy. She was able to calm my anxiety with this situation, and got me through this. She greatly assisted to work quickly and get more flooring shipped and installed. The Flooring Station had to 'weave in' the new flooring with the flooring that was still remaining. Not an easy task. They did beautiful work, once again! I am very impressed with The Flooring Station, and highly recommend this company for any of your flooring needs. You will always get a response when you call them as it is not a 'big box store'. I love and appreciate that customer service and professionalism. Thank you, Tracy! read more

I got the floor redone for the whole house by the Flooring Station and I am a happy customer. I wanted 100% waterproof LVP. Marshelle was my primary contact and she did a terrific job managing the project. She located materials that meet my needs and budget by suggesting several alternatives and spending good amount of time for that communication. I found, their installation team is excellent, also. I needed to change the schedule multiple times, due to delay of other remodeling work. The Flooring Station was flexible and said yes to all rescheduling requests. The team handled unexpected professionally, too. During the work, they found old tiles under the existing floor in some section. The team went extra miles and did the prep work done right. Thanks to Will, who led the team to do all these work for me. 5 stars to them. read more

I feel compelled to share my interesting experience here. In searching for the flooring company we formerly used to install our luxury vinyl plank, I found out that all of those stores were permanently closed. I, serendipitously, connected with Tracy from The Flooring Station Folsom, who informed me that yes the company we had used was no longer in business. I explained my ongoing problem and disappointment in the cleaning and maintenance of my floors. Tracy took the time via phone and texts to suggest what to do and who to call, each time telling me to call back if I needed her...she was there for me. She gave me current trends with respect to vinyl and what she recommended for maintenance. I so appreciate Tracy's willingness to listen to my many questions and advise. That speaks volumes to me about the Flooring Station's care and knowledge about products. My only regret is we didn't know about them 2 years ago! I would highly recommend The Flooring Station Folsom and Tracy to meet your flooring needs! read more

Tracy was our flooring consultant and she did an excellent job helping us with the estimates. We changed product couple of times and asked for different options and she patiently worked on the revisions and shared the revised estimates with us on time. She was thorough in keeping us updated and was helpful in suggesting the best product we needed. Even though we did not proceed with the project, Tracy and flooring station will be our go to choice when we are back at it again. read more

Great job! They showed up on the early end of the arrival window - big plus! They arrived wearing masks and gave me the option if they needed to wear them or not. In that everyone was vaccinated, there was no need! They completed the job in 3 hours, 2 rooms including moving the furniture, and it looks great! They asked permission before using my restroom, which I thought was very considerate and respectful. Great service at the showroom, great price, great product, and great installation. I highly recommend Gold River Flooring in Folsom. read more

Did Gold River Flooring America change their name to the Flooring Station? Maybe they are trying to rebrand and save face from the terrible work they do. They sell you a dream and deliver a nightmare. Trust me, I let them complete my flooring job and they won't even fix their poor work. Their warranty is honestly worthless. Moreover, their sales staff advised that they use their own employees as installers. This was one reason I gave them the job. I figured, it's their employees and they can vouch for the work. WRONG. This company subcontracts the work out to outside contractors. The subcontractor that they hired literally told me in the MIDDLE of the job that they hadn't done an install like mine in a VERY long time. They were basically re-learning on the job. Hence, they botched the job. When I brought all of this up to Gold River Flooring America/Flooring Station I was met with a "it's not our fault response". Moreover, they said that if I wanted it fixed they would need to charge me a 2nd time. What a crock. These guys are absolute con-artists. AVOID GOLD RIVER FLOORING AMERICA/FLOORING STATION AT ALL COSTS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS LIKE I DID. Fyi they have another location in Gold River. I fully intend to report them to the BBB and the contractors board. read more

RE: Refloored entire 1365 Sq Ft house with luxury vinyl. We are so happy we chose Gold River Flooring America. We felt confident after our meeting with Nicholas and Tracy and were pleased with our estimate. Nicholas took all the measurements while Tracy helped us with ideas for making our sunken living room distinct from to the higher level. Nicholas and Tracy followed up with us during and after the installation. The installation team, lead by Jack, is amazing. They went above and beyond in the installation of our flooring, they are master craftsman. They worked steadily, performing their job with precision, and they were kind and thoughtful to us. We were elated with the process and the outcome, our home looks fantastic. Thank you! read more

What a disappointing experience! We initially went to the location in Folsom and were quoted, roughly, 20K for removal of carpet, demo of tile in the entry and kitchen, flooring and labor. We were looking to have them take out carpet and tile (in the kitchen and entry only) and replace with wood laminate throughout (including stairs). We gave the square footage of the home (a new build) and the aprox square footage of the area we wanted "demoed". Obviously, approximations can change when measured by estimators. However, we were contacted and told the estimate was going to be 10K MORE than initially quoted. So, 30K in total for flooring. The sales person we worked with said that we were off by 200 square feet (roughly $1,100 at $6 per square foot). So, basically, it's going to cost an additional TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS to demo a small kitchen and 3x3 entry?? We chose this flooring company to support local, small business and could NOT have felt more taken advantage of. While I understand fluctuations of a couple of thousand dollars, an estimate that is 2/3's MORE seems very dishonest. Will NOT be using them, EVER. I will tell all of our friends to stay away from this company due to questionable business practices. We made the mistake of telling them how much our design center was going to charge for the same flooring and suspect they decided to come in under that quote to make a little extra profit. This math just doesn't add up otherwise. All this after being told the price of flooring has actually gone down in the last few months. read more

When we wanted to gift our grandson a new laminate floor in his home, we turned to Tracy Klockenbrink at The Flooring Station in Folsom. She was immediately attentive to our situation and gave us samples to take to our grandson. Plus, the new flooring was delivered and installed right on time. Now that the gorgeous laminate floor is in place, well, we cannot thank her enough for all her tender loving care. We moved from San Francisco to Sacramento. We purchased a house that needed flooring to be replaced. We looked at the Yelp reviews and narrowed the contractors down to three. One was Sacramento Flooring - one of the satellite offices of Gold River Flooring. Elizabeth was our initial contact salesperson who was at the Power Inn Road office. She is now at the Folsom office of Gold River Flooring. Since we did not know the area, we relied on the Yelp reviews for direction. Since Sacramento is a very active real estate market, getting contractors was not easy. They are all very busy and booked in advance. It was important that the contractor we picked be licensed and bonded which Gold River is. Elizabeth was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She quickly understood our requests and guided us through the selection process. Most importantly, she showed up on time for the estimate walk through to review the scope of the project. She also submitted her estimate on time as per our request. The contractors associated with Gold River were professional craftsman and did a great job. Covid has affected all aspects of retail. Many industries are backordered for months. If you are making your selections, keep in mind that the home industry has been affected by the delays as well. So, having more that one choice will help you achieve your project in case your first selection is not readily available. Our house now has a beautiful second floor with hardwood floors and a matching staircase. Gold River matched, as close as possible, existing floors on the first floor that were 12 years old. We replaced existing carpet with a Taupe plush, low pile. The house looks new and current - ready to start a new beginning in Sacramento. Thanks Elizabeth and thanks Gold River Flooring. read more

We were in desperate need of some new carpet. Ours was older, renter style, virtually no pad, stretched... basically shot. Elizabeth was awesome! I was greeted immediately, she spent time going through different styles, colors, prices and even what vacuum I had to ensure the carpet would work with the Dyson Ball we have. Overall, the experience thus far has been great. Carpet should come in a week from now with install a few weeks after. Looking forward to see the service continue forward with the install. read more

I had a very good experience with this company for the second time. I worked with Karen at the location in Folsom a few weeks ago. She had a good eye for design. I explained what I wanted and it took us about 10 minutes to make a selection. Karen was very nice to work with. The installation went smoothly. Very professional and my room is beautiful. About a year ago I had vinyl flooring installed in my kitchen and laundry room. I worked with the team in Rancho Cordova. That team was also very professional. I love all of my flooring. All I can say is WOW! Karen did a fantastic job of basically picking out our flooring. We gave her samples of what we needed them to go with and she picked the PERFECT flooring. Then she sent out Mark Hester to not only review the job prior to purchase to make sure there weren't any surprises, but he also did the install. That man can do magic!!! I have never been as pleased with floors ... frankly didn't know I could be so pleased with floors. Not only were they done professionally, but after getting to know Mark for a week straight, they are just really really good people. I would have ZERO reservations recommending this company. They do exactly what they say ... but to a higher standard than I ever expected. THANK YOU ... THANK YOU ... THANK YOU! read more

They replaced my carpet at no additional cost to me. It looks great!

Our overall experience was EXCELLENT! The expertise of our consultant Robert Ryan was easy, tasteful, respectful, and most of all he cared about meeting our expectations. That was huge for us considering so many other companies and associates want the quick sale without considering the clients needs. The installers were also really good and respectful considering the current environment. I would suggest Robert and Gold River to anyone looking for good product, wonderful service, and high quality expertise. read more
