The side salad and slaw before meals came out, both tasty.

I'm going to slightly stretch and say 4 star because I think it deserves more than the Yelp 3 star based on our first visit. Yes, it's a dark older tavern type place filled oddly with sports memorabilia instead of an expected nautical vibe give the name. It looks like there's a smaller area for maybe minors/family but the bigger section is more of sports bar with like a doz. TV's. The young gals at the bar were friendly greeting patrons as they walked in, even us unlike the mostly locals. This is the only place near Purdy bridge that serves all 3 meals daily. We were wanting to try seafood since the fish & oysters were fresh. I had the fish & chips $16 and hubby had seafood platter $22. Our server very friendly and helpful given our first visit and asking about the hard ciders on tap, she gave us a sample. We enjoyed the moon berry and peach-apple ciders. Food came fast and hot which much appreciated. The servings were smaller than expected honestly for price at tavern like place but everything was cooked properly. Seafood wasn't over fried. Fish, oysters still had moisture. Clams and shrimp pretty good too. Fries are skinny and crispy. House made tarter great. Slaw/side salad fine. We'd go back without hesitation, maybe try breakfast or a burger maybe pizza. Better than expected!

Enjoying a cold beer at the bar.

I've never had a bad experience here. The food is recently priced, the portions aren't out of control, and neither are the prices. We are from the south and I will say, that this is a great place to get some BBQ. The brown gravy is delicious. Their baked beans are some of the best I've ever had. Their BBQ meat falls off the bone, AND they serve their bbq sauce warm. Game changer. Wings are amazing. Beer is well priced. Staff is experienced and friendly. It's super cozy in here and I feel like I've been coming to this place for forever. Highly recommend.

My friend Shirley and I frequent this place for Seahawk football games and karaoke on Friday nights with Jeremy. Great food, friendly staff, super easy to find with the large white arrow sticking out like the Space Needle of Purdy. This is a classic dive bar kept in tip top shape. Easy parking. There is nothing I would change about this place. Everyone I have brought here says the same thing. Great food, friendly service.. There is also plenty of room to sit and bathrooms are super easy to access. Try their steaks, hamburgers, Fish night with excellent fries and clam chowder. I am not a big drinker, but their hard apple cider was declicious and very affordable.

    A nice local restaurant.

This place reminds me of some of the rural bars we hung out in during the 70s. The food is basic bar food with a decent bacon burger or cod & chips. The old bar here is wonderful & reminds me of some of the bars in Montana on the way to Sturgis. I laughed when I saw the signs on the restrooms. The town it's in is Purdy and the sign reflects ot for the ladies an close to the town of Burley which is reflected on the men's restroom sign. It's very clever. Check out the pictures I posted.

As a bar, for beer and drinks, I think this is a nice place. But for the purpose of going for breakfast, I can't say the same. If you're going there for the sole purpose of beer and drinks, I would say probably 5 stars. If you're going there for breakfast I would only give it 4 stars. My rating of 4 stars is based on the breakfast service which includes: the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the restaurant, quality of the food and the wait time for the food on a Saturday morning that was not overcrowded and an apparent amount of enough staff. Unfortunately my stars is because we literally waited 70 minutes for breakfast from time of order to the time it landed on our table. There was nothing special or unique it was a menu order of the ($12) Seaman's Plunder: eggs sausage hashbrowns and toast. I do not have any special requirements so there was no need for special preparation's to delay our meals. It was a very basic diner breakfast with no complaints as far as the quality temperature or amount of food that we got. If you are going here for drinks, pull tabs and darts I would highly recommend this place! If you're going here for breakfast, I would have a different opinion and say that you should only go if you're willing to wait a LONG period of time.

He was nice enough to let us show our friends the space., But was already sweeping and closing, which, as a restaurant owner and Winebar owner, I can attest is a huge no-no. All winter we would drop in on Monday night after concert often as late as 9:45 with no to few other customers in the room and be warmly greeted and sold a couple of glasses of wine just so that we could chill a little bit but, we never stay very long. And the girls were always very welcome and friendly.. But after maybe 25 visits, we get this guy, in a room packed with people, not that late, not friendly, not sorry, so sadly we left, but did show our friends the beautiful patio with the spectacular steady water and full moon. We will be back, although it's been a long time now thanks to that guy, and look forward to giving a five star review because this place really is special and doesn't even need our good review because they are busy busy busy in a town with absolutely nothing going on. (We moved to Gig Harbor to put the gig in Gig Harbor, and we still will. But now that Anthony's has purchased the Tides Tavern, the Tides is open until 10 and is welcoming and friendly to people who show up all the way until 10 because they're good business people. Restaurant people, club owners, like us will never be the last people to leave so are very considerate about coming in late to a place.) .

It's the kind of neighborhood spot where you can easily hang out for an afternoon. The staff was incredibly friendly and happy to let us sample a few beers before deciding. I ended up ordering their Mimosa cider along with Tap #1, and both were refreshing and perfect for a warm summer day. One small disappointment was that the Yelp swag bags hadn't arrived yet, so we weren't able to pick them up during our visit. That was out of the brewery's control, though, and the staff apologized and were very accommodating.

The vibe is so comfortable and laidback - plenty of seating with tvs playing sports, a back patio area with various games that kids (and adults) can play, and a view of the water on the other end. The staff is so friendly and attentive. I ordered the beer vault hotdog with a side of sauerkraut and topped it with mustard, my husband ordered the ATM sandwich and we both got chips. Potato salad is the other side option. I had ordered the number 5 cider on tap, it was delicious and smooth. Crisp and lightly sweet, it paired well with the hotdog honestly. It also seems like they have live music shows, so I'm definitely going to look out for upcoming shows and events to stop by here again soon. It's a cool spot with great food and laidback family oriented vibes.

I haven't seen the usual setup, but I'm assuming there's usually tables and chairs in the middle. THE FOOD: - Kitchen is currently closed, but outside food is more than welcome. Snack foods (chips, peanuts, similar) available at register. THE CIDERS: - I had a flight and they were all amazing. Standouts were: vanilla bean (sweet but not too sweet; light, refreshing, true vanilla flavor) and dark maple (not saccharine sweet; just on the edge with a dryness and truly outstanding flavor... dangerously delicious). - I kept expecting all of them to be overly sweet; but they all kept surprising me. Watermelon was another favorite. SERVICE: - Quick and kind with a smile. You'll love the vibes. SIDE NOTES: - We traveled from the Seattle area as Locust Cider had the Winchester Mystery House pinball machine on loan for the weekend. Only 500 were made, and this is currently the only one in the state. Your next closest is Next Level Museum in Oregon if you want to play this extraordinary machine. It's worth it! - We came on a salsa lesson night, so most pinball machines were blocked by tables. That's alright because 7 were unblocked and provided plenty of entertainment while the salsa lessons happened. - I think pinball + salsa music + sipping refreshing ciders is the new best way to enjoy a Saturday night. Beyond their awesome ambiance, their ciders were all varied and delicious. They have 26 taps to choose from. We tried a bunch of their 4oz pours. My favorites turned out to be (surprisingly) their seasonal Chai and their Honey Pear, but each one that I tasted was unique and flavorful. I felt the intentionality in each one. They have a full food menu that includes gluten free tater tots and chicken nuggets. Service was awesome, by the way. Two of the kegs we wanted to try had blown, so the bartender brought us a few extra pours for having to wait. I'm super bummed that I never made it back for a second visit.
