First time here and our experience was AMAZING! The staff that was working, I believe Cheyenne(I think that's how her name is spelled) was so friendly and kind. What an amazing time took my work team for get together and an absolute blast had by all. Guy checking us in helped us set up some stuff and explained everything so well what a great asset he was . You can bring snacks and food to set up in bar area ... and then they serve alcohol so that was a plus for those that drink. And pool tables for those who wanted to do something extra. read more

I had a great experience, not only that but I honestly enjoyed our instructor on how to safely throw the axes. Very helpful when throwing and I honestly loved that I got better throughout my throws. I really enjoyed that they allow you to drink while throwing axes ( they will cut you off if they notice you're not fully able to throw ) and it's been a great experience, especially adding three more items to throw, such as a small shovel head, two thin axes and a saw blade (remember they will instruct you how to properly handle them so avoid you getting hurt) Also enjoy they have electronic pages to sign wavers (such as on tablet or scan code) so it was very easy to use other than paper. They also have pool tables in case after your time is over you can play, and the arcade punching scale. We didn't know what the heck we were doing but we soon learned. I'd say I was a pro (lol) but errr I'm not hopefully one day I will master this as many of the trainers at The Flip'n Axe have done (haha..okay probably not, I can dream). I have held off on doing my review, because I was having to good of a time to stop and write one :) They have food trucks that come and also you can bring 1 six pack of beer or your beverage of choice and you can very well bring your own snacks. Terrifying and wonderful all at the same time. I've never thrown an axe before, but we went for my birthday to give it a shot and we had a blast. The building is a lot smaller than I had in my mind, but when you consider the small amount of throwing room necessary it was a perfect fit. We had Dalton as our "instructor" AKA to make sure we didn't kill ourselves or others, he was very kind & professional. Also - added bonus - this place is BYOB, yes you can drink and throw axes which makes me think their liability insurance must be very high but a fun time nonetheless. Lastly, they had a little grill outside with burgers & hotdogs for purchase, we opted to have New York pizza delivered at the recommendation of the gentleman at the front desk & it did not disappoint. Went axe throwing for the first time. I definitely had blast, the female who worked there(sorry I forgot your name) was extremely helpful. Great, comfortable, and safe environment. I do have to give a shout out to Kyle...while making reservations, I basically overpaid due to a misunderstanding. I got a call a couple of days later with Kyle apologizing (not his fault by the way) and pretty much told me I could have the hours a paid for a a later date. We booked this for our son's 21st birthday. He is in the Marine Corps and we live on opposite ends of the country, so to help him celebrate we booked this for him and a group of his friends. They had a great time!!! The online reservation system is easy to use and allowed us to surprise him from so far away. The staff was very fun and helpful, teaching them various throwing techniques as well as introducing competitive games to play. My overall "axe throwing" experience was great! The place is small, but I didn't feel cramped. They lost a star because of how incredibly unprofessional the guy working the front was. My friend and I had made a reservation beforehand. When we walked in there was a group of girls already in there before us. They hadn't made a reservation, so naturally their check in was going to take longer. HOWEVER, we stood there behind them for over 15 minutes because the front desk guy would not stop flirting with them and do his job. The experience is ok but they have NO MESURES FOR COVID. Large groups of people throwing axes with no mask nor space enough to ensure 6 feet. There are objects that pass between the groups so there u have a covid spread hazard and the "instructors" ain't wearing masks either when they're explaining you how to throw the axes. read more
