First time here and our experience was AMAZING! The staff that was working, I believe Cheyenne(I think that's how her name is spelled) was so friendly and kind. Love how she gave us demonstrations how to throw and such! Overall the place is super nice and Cheyenne was very welcoming! Definitely recommend to others and we will be coming back! If you get the corner side, be thankful! I was grateful we had the corner side to put my phone to take pictures and videos :D read more

I had a great experience, not only that but I honestly enjoyed our instructor on how to safely throw the axes. Very helpful when throwing and I honestly loved that I got better throughout my throws. I really enjoyed that they allow you to drink while throwing axes ( they will cut you off if they notice you're not fully able to throw ) and it's been a great experience, especially adding three more items to throw, such as a small shovel head, two thin axes and a saw blade (remember they will instruct you how to properly handle them so avoid you getting hurt) Also enjoy they have electronic pages to sign wavers (such as on tablet or scan code) so it was very easy to use other than paper. They also have pool tables in case after your time is over you can play, and the arcade punching scale. Thank you S for being such a wonderful teacher to show us how to properly throw and how to be safe, I loved your bubbly attitude and sweet smile!! read more

What an amazing time took my work team for get together and an absolute blast had by all. Guy checking us in helped us set up some stuff and explained everything so well what a great asset he was . You can bring snacks and food to set up in bar area ... and then they serve alcohol so that was a plus for those that drink. And pool tables for those who wanted to do something extra. read more

Good vibe, great company. Like that they have a small bar now, not a full bar but something for everyone.

We had N amazing time. We did 1.5 hours and the staff was amazing. The music was awesome and we really had a great time. The coaches taught us a hand full of trick shots and cheered us on when we succeeded. We can't wait to go back again!! read more

Nice place. Enjoyed throwing with my son to spend some time together. The host was very attentive.

Everything is amazing about this place!!! I would recommend for anyone that needs something to do. Most fun I've had in Jacksonville!

Went to The Flip'n Axe on a Thursday for a fun night out. Met at the front by Chris, one of the hysterical coaches, who quickly got us checked in and throwing in no time. There were a variety of axes to throw and the instruction was personalized. Definitely worth the bang for your buck. They're also opening their bar next month so I am excited to return. read more

Visited the Flip'n Axe for a girls night out and absolutely loved it 10/10! It was affordable plus a military discount. Loved that it was BYOB. The guy working definitely made it a fun night and was a great instructor to a couple of us who had never done it before. We will definitely be returning again! Thanks for a fun night read more

The Flip'n Axe - Axe Throwing at Blue Creek School Rd - Axe Throwing Near Me - Jacksonville, North Carolina

Whoa I love this place! I first went here with my best friend on a whim not know what I was getting into. Well flip my axe I had a good time! We didn't know what the heck we were doing but we soon learned. I'd say I was a pro (lol) but errr I'm not hopefully one day I will master this as many of the trainers at The Flip'n Axe have done (haha..okay probably not, I can dream). I have held off on doing my review, because I was having to good of a time to stop and write one :) They have food trucks that come and also you can bring 1 six pack of beer or your beverage of choice and you can very well bring your own snacks. Everyone here at The Flip'n Axe is awesome and I can't tell you how welcoming and helpful each of them are. Watching them throw the axes is like whoa point on! You can also book with them if you have a large party and they'll do everything they can to accommodate you. Before I go I'd proudly like to say this facility is owned and operated by Veterans they also have other sites too so check their website. read more

Great time but BYOB. The staff was very helpful. The location is kind of obscure but it's a hidden gem for sure!

Had a great time learning how to throw axes. The workers really knew what they were talking about. They really knew how to help you actually hit the board and the trick shots were a lot of fun. They played good music and had a chill atmosphere. Definitely will come back again read more

The Flip'n Axe - Our party - Axe Throwing Near Me - Jacksonville, North Carolina

My daughter spoke very highly of this establishment. We finally tried it and was not disappointed. It is so much fun! The

Terrifying and wonderful all at the same time. I've never thrown an axe before, but we went for my birthday to give it a shot and we had a blast. The building is a lot smaller than I had in my mind, but when you consider the small amount of throwing room necessary it was a perfect fit. We had Dalton as our "instructor" AKA to make sure we didn't kill ourselves or others, he was very kind & professional. Also - added bonus - this place is BYOB, yes you can drink and throw axes which makes me think their liability insurance must be very high but a fun time nonetheless. Lastly, they had a little grill outside with burgers & hotdogs for purchase, we opted to have New York pizza delivered at the recommendation of the gentleman at the front desk & it did not disappoint. Overall - beer, pizza, birthday & axe throwing was an awesome time. Would definitely recommend! read more

SO much fun!!! Never thrown an axe before. Never even picked one up. Dalton taught us everything we needed to know and made sure we had a great time! BYOB. Country music. Good people. Such a good deal for date night or a night with friends. Give it a shot! You won't regret it! Pro Tip: ask dalton about his endless trick shots read more

Went yesterday to kill some time. The guy behind the counter had the oddest accent and refused to elaborate on where he was actually from. I mean if you need to validate yourself by playing pretend sure. The larger is issue was the gross amount of innuendos he kept throwing out, one or two is funny but if your entire shtick is lewd remarks for shock value I'm not sure that's the right venue for it. read more

2nd time here and I love it! The guys there take the time to show you how to or even new tricks, awesome customer service.

Took my 16 year old son for a first time experience. Really enjoyed the roving trainer that taught us overhand and later underhand throwing. Will go back next time I'm in Wilmington. read more

Went axe throwing for the first time. I definitely had blast, the female who worked there(sorry I forgot your name) was extremely helpful. Great, comfortable, and safe environment. I do have to give a shout out to Kyle...while making reservations, I basically overpaid due to a misunderstanding. I got a call a couple of days later with Kyle apologizing (not his fault by the way) and pretty much told me I could have the hours a paid for a a later date. The entire experience with this place is awesome and I definitely recommend going if you've never done it!! read more

We love both of the Flip'n Axe locations. The owners are so friendly and helpful. They'll teach you as much as you're interested in learning. We have so much fun every time we come. Who doesn't need something different to do on the weekends? If you haven't tried it yet you really should! read more

The Flip'n Axe - First visit in October and had a blast. - Axe Throwing Near Me - Jacksonville, North Carolina

We booked this for our son's 21st birthday. He is in the Marine Corps and we live on opposite ends of the country, so to help him celebrate we booked this for him and a group of his friends. They had a great time!!! The online reservation system is easy to use and allowed us to surprise him from so far away. The staff was very fun and helpful, teaching them various throwing techniques as well as introducing competitive games to play. Our son and his friends highly recommend it and are looking forward to going back. Thanks to The Flip'n Axe for being so awesome!!! read more

This was so much fun. Personal instruction and great company. Throwing axes was more fun than I imagined and great for date night with my husband. I would definitely come again and suggest this space for parties or team building event. read more

My overall "axe throwing" experience was great! The place is small, but I didn't feel cramped. They lost a star because of how incredibly unprofessional the guy working the front was. My friend and I had made a reservation beforehand. When we walked in there was a group of girls already in there before us. They hadn't made a reservation, so naturally their check in was going to take longer. HOWEVER, we stood there behind them for over 15 minutes because the front desk guy would not stop flirting with them and do his job. So I guess, if the staff at Flip'n'Axe read this- if you're gonna flirt, make sure you've got the time to, and you're not making people wait. read more

Good place to go and try something new unless you're a professional hatchet launcher. The employees make you feel right at home and offer to teach you to make your experience better and more fun. The BYOB aspect was awesome but no longer exists due to Onslow County being a bunch of d****. read more

The best! I had so much fun. The coach Alexis, was awesome and super personable. This place had so many weapons to throw I felt like the coolest person walking out. Definitely a must try ESPECIALLY the ninja star!! Hands down loved this place and will totally be going back. read more

This place was a lot of fun and they really helped us learn and actually hit the target. Eventually they let us do some with cooler items.

Had a great time. Friendly staff and they did a great job showing me the basics and getting me started. Will go back again.

We went to the location on Country Club in Jacksonville, NC. We reserved the lanes for 1.5 hrs. But left after 35 minutes. The building was too hot, we were sweating and miserable. Had fun throwing but just too hot! Definitely could have been a better experience. read more

This place is literally THE BEST! From the customer service to just the fun in the atmosphere, the experience all together was perfect! Our trainer (Tim I believe) was beyond amazing. He really took up time with us and maintained everyone else as well. The customer service from him and even from the employees up front was above my standards. I can't say enough great things about this place! Thank you guys so much for making my experience perfect and giving my dad such a great Father's Day! read more

The experience is ok but they have NO MESURES FOR COVID. Large groups of people throwing axes with no mask nor space enough to ensure 6 feet. There are objects that pass between the groups so there u have a covid spread hazard and the "instructors" ain't wearing masks either when they're explaining you how to throw the axes. read more
