Very plain building and unassuming storefront, so i didn't really expect much before we went in. Inside was very clean and very retro-modern decor. Everything seemed new. Staff was friendly, concessions were reasonably priced with a good selection, and we had a great time. We haven't been bowling in a while and we're still new to this area, so I felt the price was a bit steep. It should be noted, however, that I'm not familiar with what it usually costs for a family of four (two adults, two kids) so it may be typical of what it usually costs. For (4) shoe rentals and two games, we paid $51. Again, this may be what it usually costs for a family of four, so I don't know -- it was just a little more than I thought it would be.

Something about the noise the air makes as it escapes the tiny holes on the playing field. The ping on the puck hitting the sides. The bowling area is large and has a ton of lanes, so on a busy night your still able to get a lane.

My husband and my bill bill was 60. Bucks for an overdone shrimp basket and overcooked kettle chips and 6 wings. Plus 2 beers cost us 60 dollars. We have been watching football on Sundays since they opened, Jon was our bartender the food was great. I regret that we may still go to watch football because all our friends our there, but we will never eat there again. We knew Connie the 1st Manager, bshe or Jon would never let this lack of service or the horrible food come out of the kitchen. I saw all the pizzas Joday was delivering to tables they were butt overdone. Sorry the food is horrible and overpriced. 8.99 for a basket of kettle chips, and 11.99 for 6 overcooked horrible wings that gave me food poisoning. I do not know what happened but we will never eat there again. Sorry for this review but it cost us 60 dollar s for an overcooked shrimp basket, Kettle Chips and 6 wings, plus 2 beers. My husband and I went to Rainbow Lanes yesterday afternoon with our baby girl and had a great time!…read more Rainbow Lanes is a no frills, spacious bowling alley and arcade that gives 80's or early 90's vibes. We loved it. I am so used to a "fancier" spot such as Kings at North Hills, but I would come back here over Kings now that I have been! Everyone that worked there was friendly. The space is huge, and they have many lanes. You don't feel like you are on top of each other, which is nice. I believe it was about $30 for all of us to play two games/get shoes, which is not bad at all! They have a huge arcade type space with plenty of games and even a small ride that mimics the Himalaya at the N.C. State Fair! You can play games, earn tickets, and they have a full force prize booth! It's pretty cool! There is an incredibly extensive food menu, and they have decent drink options as well; beer, wine, soda, juice, water, etc. The only food we got were the chicken tenders, and although frozen I actually asked the woman the brand. These were some of the best chicken tenders I have ever had and did not seem frozen at all. Eager to try some new foods next time! We are already planning our next trip back!

Mind you EVERYONE else's lanes were on and running. We were furious, especially since we didnt even get to finish the game that we PAYED for, we drove by there at 11:05 and all the people were still in there and they closed at 11 pm. Me and my boyfriend have gone to this place since January and had no problems what so ever until last weekend, needless to say that is the last time we go.

A lady at this time was at the counter she said it is just taken. I was like oh ok. Can we see if they will switch to another lane since there were single lanes open. This couple i had not even sat down to put on their shoes. Her response was that is out of my control and would not even ask. She said the other man had given them the lane. That and the fact there was no air conditioning. It is 84 degrees outside. I mean really. This is why nothing makes it in Kinston. No problem. We left and drove to Goldsboro.
