Good for skating- the kids love it! Birthday party was good but you could never find the host- you're ask to provide a tip upfront - I did. The tip was 20% which was $50.00. That young lady did not earn that tip. Also the tshirt that is "included" with your birthday party - all sizes out of stock except adult XL. Hard pass next time. This is the only roller skating rink that I go to and I have been going to it for probably a year or longer now, it's definitely got me into roller skating and it's overall really fun to just take a break from my life and skate for 2 hours. The staff are super nice, and they play decent music. Great roller rink for beginners and families/couples, also a good place to go to for birthdays! read more

This is a fun little place to bring the kids. You can't see the building from the main road so look for the sign. I came here for a birthday party so I can't speak on prices since I didn't pay. I will say though, my child enjoyed her time there very much. You can bring your own skates or get some from the counter. It's a one for one swap lol! Give them your shoes and they'll give you skates. Also, take note that they don't allow bags in there unless it's those plastic see through ones. This goes for purses as well. They offer to hold it for you at the front counter though. Also, no gum allowed in the building. They literally have a small cup filled with chewing gum that they collect from people going into the building with gum in their mouths haha. They've also got a snack bar in there and a vending machine which is pretty convenient. Overall, I think it's a great place to have here in Jacksonville and a fun spot to bring your kids or yourself if you love skating. read more

I haven't ever left a review on Yelp before, but I feel like with this I have to. My husband and I made plans to go roller skating for Valentine's Day. We had been planning for weeks. We make it there at 6:15pm, only to see not a single employee wearing a mask, no signs requiring masks for entry, nobody on the roller rink wearing a mask, and a sign posted saying nothing but "During the Covid-19 pandemic, we cannot guarantee you do not get Covid-19 from your visit here." Needless to say we left and didn't get to fulfill our plans. Absolutely shameful and so disappointing. Please, take your business to places who take precautions for your safety. Roller City is not one of those places. read more

I had gone there with a couple friends and we were joking and then one of them yelled and we understood then we kept quiet and this lady had started yelling at us telling us we were disrespectful to the workers, and she kicked us out of the snack bar and when i tried to explain to her what had happened she yelled over my voice in front of everyone for no reason. read more

Its been a long time since Ive put on skates like 25 years. But all the nostalgia flooded back as soon as I laced up. I wanted to bring my daughter here as she has never skated before and there wasnt a place within miles to go. The building is tucked away out of sight off of western going towards the newer walmart. Its a safe place for children to indoor skate during the week or on weekends. They have a full snack bar so there is no need to eat before or leave to go grab a bite. The payrons are friendly and have a vested interest in being kind and careful as there are alot of children there. The reps are all great kids with a level of maturity that I wish some businesses had. They are professional nd easy to talk to and super helpful. read more

I brought two of my kids here to skate. They are 17 and 10 and they had a blast. Prices to skate are reasonable and the snack bar also reasonable. The inside of this establishment is clean and the staff is kind and helpful. Nice and safe place for kids to have fun!! We will definitely be back!!! read more

The pricing listed on their website and the pricing they quote you in person are not the same. You also won't get the T-shirt and tickets that are supposed to be included in your party package. If you try to show sympathy as another patron by purchasing the missing items from the party package for a child's party that's now been ruined your party will in turn be canceled. read more

Skating comes with a need to monitor and ensure safety , esp for little ones who are skating while adults are on the floor. The staff is mostly children who are not old enough or adequately trained to handle issues. After, complaining to a staff member ( young boy on staff) that an adult man had skated very fast and very close to me and my young child ( brushing our clothes even) , he promised to talk to the man but did not. The man continued to fly by us time after time and I was forced to say something to him myself. He was wearing headphones on the floor (very unsafe ) so I had to yell to get his attention. The owner publicly ridiculed me on Facebook and said she almost lost her temper and wanted to hurt me , really a mom with a young child ??? This is def not the safest place to take young children or children of any kind to skate safely. read more

Very professional and family friendly I wouldn't mind hearing a more updated selection of music but I do understand there being children there we have to respect there ears no matter how late it is. Nevertheless the staff is friendly the workers and the other experienced skaters from time to time help people maintain safety and I really like how they put safety above the thrill of speed. I am very disappointed with the management at this location. I have been going to this location for over 24 years and have never had a problem until today. What is the difference you ask? I went with my children. we were there for maybe 40 minutes. Loud music, lots of people, a lot going on so my son started to have some anxiety, so of course I pick him up to comfort him. I roll along the wall to try and show him that its ok and supposed to be fun. One of the staff members walks up while I'm trying to cheer my son up and say "You can't hold him with skates, give him to me" Now I don't know about you other parents but if my child is already on the verge of an anxiety attack, I'm for sure not going to hand him to a stranger, so I said "I'll walk over and give him to my sister-in-law" which I did, I took a few steps and handed him to my sister-in-law when I hear this woman yelling at me like im a dog. (now mind you, there is not a single sign in this place that says not to hold your kids while your wearing skates) I tried to explain to her that I wasn't trying to be disrespectful, i was trying to comfort my son. She wasn't having it, she continued to yell and talk over me until I finally gave up trying to explain myself. The lady was very rude, condescending, and totally unprofessional. Oh and did I mention i was there with a birthday party that was about half of the patrons present at the location. It is very disappointing, I show the utmost respect to every person I meet, I work 70 hours a week and am a single parent, I get to go out with my children and do something like this once, maybe twice a year, the way the management handled it was totally unprofessional and incompationate, to the point that I felt attacked over the whole situation, I didn't feel like I was a person to her at all throughout the whole event, like i said before she talked to me like a dog and treated me as such and for a "Family friendly" establishment they are very incompationate and clearly do not understand what it is like to have children. So, in short don't take your family here, you are just a dollar sign to them and will not respect you as a person at all, I feel attacked and degraded and as a patron for over 24 years, I am very appalled at the way the management chose to handle this situation. read more
