I hope my combo of the channel club gym and planet is close to as much as I got out of KOKO. Clean atmosphere, super friendly but also private if you want. The high tech equipment keeping track of your strength building , cardio improvement, lean muscle mass and much more is so very cool and easy to see on the app. The classes are intense with wonderful trainers but if you need a break all the trainers are cool about. giving you a break. I will still one- two times a month do a " drop in" HIIT class or other. Kim, Pam, jeannie , Krystal, Harly, Chris. All so very nice and accomplished at what they do. No longer a member but I'll still see you all for the occasional class. I lost about 20 lbs over 8 months and I owe a ton of it to koko.

I originally thought that the program may not be intense enough for me, but quickly discovered that it can be tailored to meet anyone's needs, it definitely pushed me when I needed to be pushed! I was thrilled to meet my goal weight at the end of the challenge, but more than that, it gave me a renewed sense of motivation to maintain a healthy lifestyle that has me feeling, happier, healthier and more energetic than I've felt in awhile. Thank you Koko!! I wish I was staying in the area so I could become a full-time member of the gym, it's a great concept and has an amazing community for support and accountability.

It's large like majority of the Retro Fitness areas, has a large selection of machines and everything seems to be in sync with one another based on where the workout equipment is at. One of my smallest but notable gripes is that the free weights always seem to be all over the place, but here they are racked correctly and in order. It also wasn't absolutely crowded either so getting to where I wanted to go to work out was no issue. This was as perfect as perfect a Gym trip could go. It's a bit out of my way to be a regular trip, but I will be back for sure.

The gym is always clean and well maintained. The members are considerate of everyone's space and return the equipment cleaned into their proper space. When the parking lot becomes a little tight, the members are patient and will even direct others for a smooth parking space transition. I have stayed with the same trainer Angelo, through WeFit 360, for the duration of my membership. With medical issues, my doctors could not believe the improvement in my health since my training began. He schedules your sessions according to your availability and always works with you if you require changes. He uses good judgement on how far you can push yourself. Notably, he is a truly pleasant person all around and easy to work with. I have been to quite a few gyms throughout Long Island, Queens and Brooklyn. By far, this has been the best establishment with reasonable cost and quality return on your money. Keep up the good work!

    I am a regular at Ocean Ride in Long Beach for about 8 months now and attend their classes 2 - 3…read moretimes a week. I absolutely love it there! The owners, instructors & staff are all very welcoming, helpful & motivating. Whether its your 1st class or your 100th, the staff is always making sure you are comfortable and properly situated in your bike, ready for the ride. They post their schedule on their website for the upcoming week every Monday at 9:00 am where you can reserve your bike for the desired class/classes you want to take that week (Tuesday-Sunday). If a class is full you will be put on a wait list & if bike opens up they will notify you. There are many class times to choose from to fit your own personal schedule starting as early as 5:45am to 7:30pm. The "Ocean Ride" class if 50 minutes & the "Ocean Strength" class is 60 minutes which also involves light hand weights for a portion of the class as well. You have the choice to purchase a single ride for $18 and they have packages of 5, 10, 20, 40 rides & as well as unlimited monthly rides. The facility is always very clean & the bikes are brand new in great condition. All bikes are compatible for either spin shoes or regular sneakers so you have the choice to ride in what you feel most comfortable in. I have taken most of the instructors classes at the studio and while they each have a slightly different style of how they teach their class, what they do have in common is that they are all highly trained & motivated to give you the best work out they can in the time you are there. There is an instructor there suitable for everyone's comfort zone and what each individual is looking for. My personal favorite instructor they have is Margy. I enjoy a high energy & intense work out with upbeat music and I always walk out feeling amazing. If you haven't been here yet, I highly suggest you check it out, you have nothing to lose but probably 700 calories a class so it can't hurt right!? Lots of street parking and across from the Long Beach LIRR. Be sure to check them out & don't forget, your first ride is FREE!!! Happy Riding :)

    Over the years I've found that the only way I stay engaged with fitness is to join small…read moregroup/semi-personal training or to join scheduled classes. In other words, I need to commit to scheduled appointments because I feel more accountability to follow through. Whereas, if I just joined a gym or tried working out on my own, it's too easy for me to push exercise aside for later. When I moved to New York in 2017 I started from scratch in finding a place to belong and get motivated. So for about a year I postponed that and consequently my fitness sagged. I didn't feel overweight but I did feel disappointed in myself for losing so much strength and tone. Finally I found Booty by Rudi and the awesome Tiffany Rudi. Her approach to teaching barre was so energetic, that I finally felt the engagement I'd been missing. In the last couple of years I have taken Tiffany's signature group barre classes and eventually started working one-on-one with her for strength + barre combo training. She is excellent at tailoring movements to each student's needs, even taking time in busy group classes to offer alternative movements for different fitness levels or specific injuries. I am currently 4 months pregnant and want to keep up my prenatal fitness; she's worked with me through this transitional time. Sometimes during a session I feel that fatigue we all sometimes feel when working out. If I was on my own, I'd probably just stop. But with Tiffany coaching me, whether amid a group or one-on-one, she keeps the enthusiasm and encouragement flowing so that I want to live up to the goal. I keep going or get back into a movement and finish it out. Tiffany has been fabulous one-on-one adapting our strength training to my changing needs, yet I feel stronger than ever and have been better able to keep up my energy levels. I feel that I'm really set up well to gain pregnancy weight at a healthy rate and bounce back faster postnatally.

Even virtually I can feel all feels. The cues and reinforcement she gives gets you thru the tough stuff. You can see changes in your body and your mind !
