This happened because my son fell on the third floor and accidentally hit the spot where the second-floor fire sprinkler was located. I knew nothing about this kind of thing and was really worried that water would start spraying out immediately! I quickly reached out on Yelp to several licensed fire protection service providers, hoping someone could help reinstall it as soon as possible. Leon from Central Fire Protection & Services was the fastest to respond--within ten minutes! I asked Leon if he could come quickly to help me replace and install it because I had to go out the next day. Leon asked me to send him photos and a short video. After reviewing them, he reassured me that there was no need to worry, that it wasn't a big problem, and told me to just contact him again after I got home. When we returned from our trip, I contacted Leon right away. Leon patiently and thoroughly guided me online on how to choose the correct new cover plate, how to purchase it, and explained that once I received the parts, I could actually install it myself. Even after receiving the new part, I still insisted on having Leon come install it, since I'm not a professional. But Leon kindly and carefully walked me through the installation step by step. Finally, with Leon's help, I successfully installed the new cover plate! I was so happy--not just because Leon provided all this guidance for free and never tried to take advantage of me, but also because through Leon, I learned something new myself. My wife who never went to look at the property in person, which i didnt know, said looks good and to pay him. I went ahead and paid the full amount plus the extra $350 not originally quoted (my error) and went to the property to see that there were 3 large areas not done that were clearly part of the 5 acres. Jeff stated safety concerns and when I debunked that he stated he'd come back and fi ish the work in a few days. He never did but did tell me he'd come back later. Later, I was left a message that he's waiting for a repair. Then he ghosted me. So here I went above and beyond to oay him way more than he quoted only to have him shaft me on the project. Yes its my fault for not inspecting before paying but if he or anyone cares about his business, this is piss poor on customer service and business ethics. After cutting out that area of dry wall and noted the problem, I got a couple of quotes. Friendly Fire Systems is very reliable. The boss Benito responds to text very quickly and answered all questions professionally. Scheduling was easy and uneventful. The technician, Rafael, arrived on time. He did the whole job by himself. The access box was too small and Benito was able to help him to locate a bigger one quickly and Rafael went to get it. They replaced the pipes with CPVC plastic pipes. They also replaced the valve and water pressure gauge. Rafael did everything in 1 day. The other impressive and important quality I like this company is the post-repair follow-up service. The new water pressure gauge connection was seeping out water with drops of water slowly. I texted Benito right away and he was able to have another technician, Miguel, to come to my house that same evening and it was Friday. Miguel arrived on time that evening and tightened the connection up. The slow leak persisted and noted the next day. I texted Benito regarding that the next day, Saturday. He again responded to the text immediately and offered to have Miguel to come to my house Monday early morning but afternoon worked better for me and he scheduled that afternoon for me. Miguel replaced the water pressure gauge and the metal connector as there's manufacturing defects causing the super slow leak at the connection. Afterwards, no more leak. Thank you Friendly Fire Systems and the boss Benito for being so reliable for the initial work AND more importantly, the follow-up care.
