Dave Marquez and his team are amazing people!! My family and I were stuck without hot water for almost two weeks. We were trying to fix are water heater and having trouble with the company the had made it, then had a plumber come to fix it and didn't finish the job. Called up Dave and told him about are problem. He said that normally he wouldn't work on a job that someone else started but in the position that we were in he would help. After talking with my wife we decided to go with a new water heater and have Dave and his team put it in. Marquez has been my go-to plumber for years. They recently repaired a major leak in the drain under my kitchen sink. While he was inspecting, he noticed a slow leak at the upper cold water fitting on my faucet. He happened to have a virtually identical faucet in his truck (but a much better brand) so I asked him to replace it. They had to come on a Saturday, but I was the first appointment. He was 10 minutes early and all the work was complete in an hour. I asked him to inspect a shower faucet with a slow leak starting at the valve. A simple fix; he told me what needed to be replaced (for a later time). My best friend was at my house as well while the work was being done, and she made sure he knew she also is a satisfied Marquez customer! read more

A lot of people recommend this business. I however am going to speak on my experiences. One a few years ago I called made an appointment, I did forget about said appointment, however my family was in the middle of moving, and dealing with two deaths in the family so my mind was very distracted. I am human. They showed up, we forgot and sent them away, I found out later a 90 dollar bill was sent to the house which my husband actually paid. I wouldn't have done that as they didn't do any work. Cut to last week. They were here for about 15 minutes, and we got a bill for 200 dollars. Apparently you get charged for an hour no matter how long they actually do work. This is ridiculous. I will be calling anyone else next time we need a plumber. read more

They said in about three days or maybe earlier, later that morning we received a call from them asking if they could come today because someone had to cancel we said yes and within a few minute they showed uo. My shower started leaking this week and progressed to full on shower being on and unable to shut off. I called Marquez at 4pm asking for an emergency visit. The person I spoke to was kind and empathetic to my situation. She immediately scheduled for a same day appointment between 5-7pm. The plumber showed up a few minutes before 5. I was relieved to see him and he was able to repair in under an hour. I was so grateful for the fast service and the exceptional customer service by both the office and plumber onsite. Great job! I am offended by the receptionist at this place of business.I had a new water heater put in as my previous one was installed by them 6 years an 4 mo. Ago. 4 mo out of warranty. I am a longtime customer and a senior single owner of 13 acres I maintain by myself. I had just had a major leak a few weeks ago at a big expense. I asked Michaella if there were any breaks and she shrugged me off. I am not driving at this time, and do not own a printer. I asked if she could print me a bill as I keep for taxes. She said have someone come by and get one. I asked if she could send me one in the mail? Thinking she would say sure. Instead she said she would have to check. Wow, for use of a stamp, and a print out? After I have paid in full a water heater for 1,900.00. I have been waiting to receive it. I would have asked for the owner but I am sure I wold not have been able to speak to him. Sad, I thought living here for 22 years and using this company I was worth a stamp. This is is a shame not to give me a bit of consideration. Joe did a good job and quoted me 1,780. She said it took another man to come help him. Was not informed of this extra. Expensive. Installed a water softener in an existing space using existing plumbing. We were quoted an hourly rate. Job took 2 hours and he charged us for 4 hours because he brought someone else along and charged us for that guy's time, too. Lots of drama ensued when we questioned what we were charged. Told us he wouldn't charge us even though we weren't looking for a freebie. Charge was reversed then a week later someone calls for our credit card number because it was "misplaced". No mention of previous drama. Very odd but no appetite to revisit previous drama so we gave them our card number again and the full charge was processed again. Work was OK, looks a bit odd the way it was positioned and pipes routed over a sink. read more

We were experiencing a clog somewhere in our plumbing. We were concerned about a broken pipe. We called another local plumbing service first and they were booked through the month. Next we called Marquez plumbing. Someone returned our call in a reasonable amount of time and sent someone to our house to snake our backyard clean out because that's what my husband asked them to do. We seemed to be okay after that - nothing backed up and toilets flushed. Ran 1 load of wash in an HE washer and had a back up in the shower and bathtub and couldn't flush. This was not their fault. Called them back after closing and left a message. In the meanwhile the pipe drained and we were able to flush toilets again and the water drained from the shower and tub. They were really busy the next day and couldn't get to us. We weren't in dire need so it was okay. They came back the next day and located the clog after finding our sewer line and digging a small hole in our yard to access the pipe. The clog was determined to be out in the street where the sewer line from our house connects to the main sewer. Another guy had to come back with a bigger piece of equipment to snake the line out to the middle of the street. He cleared the pipe and then patched it so we could use our plumbing. I checked on it repeatdedly - no leaks. Someone had to get parts to build our 2-way clean out for ease of eliminating future clogs because our older home didn't have a 2-way clean out. The clean out is in our front yard but they took steps to make sure it's not obvious, you have to know what you're looking for. They were all efficient, friendly, knowledgable and their services were reasonably priced. We will call them in the future if we ever have need for their services. On time and got the job done. I think the first plumber to work could have done a more investigative role as there were two other valves that were stuck open that he missed. There was a minor water drip after he finished that my brother in law tightened. The second plumber that we requested to replace two other sticky valves in the same general location was much more thorough. Will use them again as needed. read more

My Dad was in a tough spot and needed his bathtub valve fixed ASAP. He called Marquez Plumbing because he used them in the past. They scheduled him that day (2 -4 pm), but the owner stepped up and called him to let him know he'd show up earlier to look at the problem. He showed around noon and squared up my Dad ASAP.
