Final Final is right by my office and while it definitely is not in the same grouping as all the boutique bars around SF, I have kind of a soft spot for dive-y bars. The drinks aren't terrible, they rarely get crowded, and the bar itself is not at all pretentious like all the speakeasy-type bars around. The service is nothing to write home about but I definitely did not have a bad experience and in my book that's already ahead of the curve. This is a great football game day place to watch a game. I'm a Nebraska fan and what can I say...this is the place to be! The only better thing would be if they served runzas & Valentino's pizza. It can be brutally hot and crowded and at times hard to get a drink so come early if you want to get a seat and have a server. The people are really friendly though and it's definitely a good place if you're into college football. It's located off Baker so not a ton of parking, but I can say the times I went I did find spaces. read more

Who knew that there was a portal to Nebraska in this bar. Seriously....come during a college football game day and you'd forget you were in San Francisco. The normal Giants pride will be overtaken with love for Nebraska red. They have a great assortment of beers on tap. They also sell Pabst Blue Ribbon (in can form) for the frat boy in you. Oh so classy. Food is also served which is a nice plus. Pizzas for around $12, nachos, wings, etc ($4-8). They even have a popcorn machine in the corner for you to help yourself with. Not bad! Being that this is a sports bar you will find TONS of tvs EVERYWHERE in this place along with random sports memorabilia. I noticed that the owner was quite fond of football & baseball...but nothing related to basketball was seen. Interesting... On crowded days waitresses&waiters look like chickens with no heads. Very frantic and hard to get their attention. But I give them props because they know what they are doing and are VERY good at their job! Literally the best. We have watched everything here. When the Warriors won the finals, World Series, Olympics, it's the best ambiance and we'll trek over from Mid-Market to watch any important game. They do such a good job of not overcrowding this bar so it's always comfortable, even on craziest nights, but because of that make sure you get here early before big games. Free popcorn and Papa John's pizza is a fun touch. Reasonable prices. This is our favorite sports bar in the city. So much so that when we got married in the Presidio nearby, we opened a bar tab for all our guests after the reception and dumped 100 crazy wedding guests on the bar on a random night...two of our guests met, hit it off at the bar, and got married a year later. So, what's the moral of the story? Watch good sports, eat free popcorn, and find your soul mate. What's not to love? read more

Went here while in town for business and enjoyed it. The bad part of the visit was the fact that the Cleveland Browns were pulverizing the New York Giants on the tube. Other than that, the free popcorn, pool tables, beer on tap (love the Anchor Steam) and relaxed dive-bar atmosphere reminded me of some of the similar establishments I enjoy back in New York. read more

From the outside, I always thought this place was a dive, kinda ghetto, kinda dirty. But there always seems to be people going in and out of it, so with friends from out of town in tow, we decided to hit this place up. Actually, it's pretty nice inside! It was crowded, but not too crowded that it was uncomfortable. We were able to sit at a table and talk amongst each other without having to scream. I found the digital jukebox to be pretty cool, and it provided awesome jams all night. Towards the back is an area to play darts, a few pool tables, and free popcorn. The service was great, this girl constantly kept coming back to check up on us. Plus, this might sound strange, but there was surprisingly a large girl to guy ratio. I don't know if it's just me, but most bars I've been to around the city has always been somewhat of a huge sausagefest. On this past Columbus Day, I had the day off. Nobody else that I knew did, so I had nothing to do. So I just rode the MUNI all day. Near the end of the day, I felt like catching MNF, so I hoped off the bus, looked up the nearest sports bar, and found this place. Not...too...shabby. A good selection of $5 pints. Random odd patrons (one of whom left a 5c tip). A funny bartender. And big ass TVs. I don't know if I'll ever be in this neighborhood again, but if I am...I might ponder visiting again ;) read more

Actually Stan, we got blown out big time after our first game....but going to Final Final helped to resolve the bitterness of losing. Our softball team has been coming here after games since last fall. It is a cozy place, has a juke box and a couple pool tables. The Juke box can be fun, especially to initiate dances with the drunker girls on your softball team. First of all, I'd like to apologize to the Final Final for a long, long overdue review of this amazing little joint on the corner of Lombard and Baker. The Final Final is our watering hole of choice prior to each and every Nebraska Husker football game. Come in on game days, and you're bound to see fans a plenty! The bouncers at the Final Final are really, really nice guys. Although they were extremely crowded last night, the mind-set seemed to be "Eh, what's another Husker fan? Come on in!" The crowd is always an eclectic mix of Nebraskans, or pseudo-Nebraskans (like myself) who are there for a good time, and to cheer on their team! The staff are friendly, the drinks and food are priced just right, and it's always a good time! I dig the free popcorn in the corner! I went here after having my birthday party at House of Air. We ordered the Papa John's pizza and it was piping hot. Someone else ordered chicken wings and thoroughly enjoyed them. They have 2 pool tables. I like the layout of the U-shaped bar and there seems to be plenty of space. And yes, the free popcorn was a nice touch. The door in the back says Pool and Spa, employees only. I don't know if this was a joke or if there really is a spa back there. I was intrigued. LOL. read more

The wife and I come up to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes football games here, and are NEVER disappointed. Yes, I have a wife who a) drinks beer b) watches football What I did to deserve this sublime specimen of female awesomeness is beyond me, but the Final Final is a perfect place to take in a game. Free popcorn served up in those fantastic plastic school lunch bowls. If you look into them, you may see a ghost of the Chili Con Carne that lived there back 1987. Also, Papa John's pizza for order, cheese for $11. Beer selection is fantastic, with lots of local goodies (North Coast, Truman, Bear Republic and more). Currently they have the Racer X, which is the double IPA from Bear Republic and worth every penny. Good seating at the bar and plenty of TVs. read more

Me and some friends came in looking for something to eat that wasnt too expensive (aka not the such-and-such bistro or cafe with fancy stuff and high prices). unfortunately, there was no tacqueria within striking distance, so we wandered into this place to see if they had food. Well, they do, but it was pretty bad pizza and pretty bad wings. And the service was TERRIBLE. The bartender seemed genuinely pissed that she had to do whatever it was that was required to prepare the shitty pizza and wings, and didnt even leave the bar to bring us our pitcher or our food, just put it on the counter and gestured us towards it. Maybe it deserves more stars by its merits of being a bar, but we didn't stay long enough to find out. 1/2 star for the popcorn machine though, that was nice to have around. read more

This place is sick and even more so if your a die hard Niners fan or Giants fan. They have this place deiced out with nothing but niners and giants stuff all over the walls of this bar. The bar is fully equipped with a popcorn machine that is full of popcorn for the drinkers to fill a bowl. The pool tables (2) are spaced nice and the tunes are great. We went on a Thursday night and the place was busy with locals from the close by neighborhood. The beers were cheap and the staff was the best. Even though I despise the Giants I had a great time and will come back to catch a game or just to drink. read more

How can anyone gives this place less than 5 stars?! The Final Final is a great sports bar. I've been coming here for years to watch the warriors and the giants and USC (don't judge) and whoever else is on for a "big game." They always have a decent beer menu (IPAs for my husband, something less intense for me) and they have free unlimited popcorn. FREE UNLIMITED POPCORN. They also have pizzas and wings that you can order, if you so choose. The waitresses and bar tenders are great... they are a no nonsense crew and I appreciate that when sports bars in the marina can get a little out of hand (so many egos in one room...) I totally recommend this place, just get there early if you want a good seat for a popular game! read more

Since I do not live in San Francisco anymore - I completely forgot about this place until a friend sent me a birthday evite here. I used to go to this place quite often - yes it is a dive bar, but I have to say - I made many great friends here playing pool and drinking some beers. I even spent one or two New Years Eve's here - which were very fun We usually made it our final stop on the way home as did may other people - hence the name. I also occasionaly came here after indoor hockey games with the team. If you are looking for a sleek, clean place with fancy drinks - this is NOT the place to go - it is definitly a dive bar, but a great dive bar. THey have free popcorn coming from a machine in the back corner and drink prices are reasonable and the staff was very friendly - it has been a few years since I have been here, so some things may have changed but I will make it an effort to go back on my next visit. read more

I'd give this place 4 stars for the awesome free, self-serve popcorn, but I'm sensing that it's uncool to give this place more than 3 stars. I mean, I don't want to make any Yelp enemies, but I've perused the 4+ star reviews of this place and they all seem to be written by really uncool people (sorry nerds!). I've also gotten a sense that people describe this as the "no bullshit, anti-Marina Marina bar," sort of like it's the "We'll stick a boot in your ass" neighbor to such douche-magnets as A16 (I've never been there but I like to be judgmental!). It made me feel like I was right at home at a sports bar in the midwest, with its tvs showing sports, sports memorabilia on the wall, and a black guy that looked like the Fridge, who as we all know is from sports. The only real drawback was that to play pool you have to first give your ID to the bartender to get the cue ball and then put quarters in the table to play. We got the cue ball just as someone else was putting in quarters, and shit almost led to straight up FISTICUFFS. Actually, I just kind of stood there doing a Kanye shrug outwardly being nice and explaining the situation to these older folk who tried to take the table while in my head saying "FUCK THESE PEOPLE I WILL FIGHT THEM TO THE DEATH OVER THIS POOL TABLE." They backed down and sat in the corner semi-uncomfortably while we gleefully played a round of pool in their faces. I mean, what can you do, you know? I then proceeded to stuff fistfulls of salted popcorn into my mouth while alternating between laughing and choking and trying to get pieces of kernel shell unstuck from between my teeth (why does popcorn have to fight me when I'm eating it?). read more

It does the job you want it to! Get drunk on the cheap! They've got a pretty decent selection of beer on tap (so glad they have one of my favorites, Allagash White) and solid liquor available. oh the final. i drink here way too much. I am friends with one of the bartenders, Nadine. She is really really awesome. Here is a typical final night: Starts with plans to meet friends here. Friends are boys, boys flake and are late, Natalie gets mad. Natalie decides to take shots. Natalie manages to make friends with the two funniest most awkward guys in the bar, and gets many free shots of Jameson. why are boys impressed by girls who like whiskey? its dumb. back to the story: Natalie starts to make phone calls and leave angry messages. she tells her friends "its over, we are not friends any more." Natalie's friends show up, Natalie buys them a double shot of well gin as punishment for being fucktards. Friend drinks shot with a straw. We squint at each other. Random guys don't realize Natalie's friends have arrived, and keep talking to her about how she is awesome. Bar fills up with white boys. Some random girl tells Natalie to pull up her pants because her crack is showing. Natalie complies, thinks girl is just jealous. Natalie is very drunk and hands friend purse and runs to bathroom. She does not puke, but salivates heavily. Returns to bar, "hey guys! I didn't Puke!" "oh, you will" Natalie wants to leave. Friend agrees, says goodbye to random guys who ask for email address, not phone number, email address. and... Scene. Consolatory emails were sent to friends the next morning. Still waiting on that email from the random guys. I swear I'm not an alcoholic. read more

Popcorn everywhere is my lasting impression of this place. Service was sort of slow and inattentive but I didn't much care - it is a sportsbar after all. I paid 18 for a beer and someone's drink, which is costly, although it could have been a double (that punk).
