Habanero Rangoon and Caramelized Onion Burger

The food was incredible! But the service was so slow it was unbearable. I think honestly our ticket might have just gotten lost; and I'll definitely give it another try. But there were two 2 top tables that arrived after us, got their food and paid, all before we ever got our food. We were just a 3 top ourselves, not a large party. Our waitress said once our food was almost done... but not so sure that's true. Regardless, the appetizers were great, and the burger I got was good! The tap list wasn't super long, but a lot of good local selections.

Nothing but basil on the inside. Nothing filled in the middle. Just a spoon of cream cheese, a strawberry, and more basil

Not sure what happened with this restaurant. We used to get brunch from The Feve regularly but stopped after a while. The food was always great and we never had a disappointing experience until today. We placed our order and my husband went to pick it up. He mentioned that they were rude on the phone and he was met with the same rudeness in person. The breakfast burger was barely cooked there was almost raw on the inside. They barely had it tounch the grill. The pancakes I ordered were supposed to be "filled with new york style cheese cake, graham crackers, sweet basil & fresh strawberries." We got a basil pancake topped with a spoon of cream cheese and a strawberry. When we called the only thing the server offered was to fill another order. We're not driving 20 minutes to experience the rudeness.

Cute little place! Tiny room but good food. Got the mushroom and onion sandwich- nice filling, bread kind ick. Got the raspberry martini- way too tart- tasted like pure lime. Do not recommend.

Decided to do a fun little day trip to Oberlin with my boyfriend. The town has a lot of quaint little stores, as well as beautiful areas around campus. Several store owners recommended that we eat here, so that's what we did. We were able to be seated right away which was nice. We both got burgers with fries for dinner, and they were excellent. FYI, this isn't the kind of place where they ask you how you want your burger cooked. They've already decided the best way for it to be served, and that's how they serve it. The fries were especially yummy! But the real star, in my opinion, was the spring roll appetizer. Hot, crunchy, delicious, just absolutely perfect!! I'd come back just for this appetizer! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I can see why this has been such a special place for my Obie for 3 years! I had my first meal at The Feve today and was so impressed by the quality of the food and the excellent service! Cool vibe, not too loud, attentive service, love the art on the walls. I got the soup plus vegetarian black bean hash and eggs- wow! My kid got the burger, beautiful!

Do they serve Thai rolled ice cream? Yelp brought me here when I searched that.

    They do not serve that.

Place was not super-busy when I arrived, and the service was pleasant and prompt. I ordered a very reasonably priced beer and settled in as I awaited my burger and fries. They have a very extensive pub style menu, so there are options sure to satisfy just about everyone in your party. I ordered their brisket burger with a side of fries. When it arrived, I was blown away by the size! This brisket burger was pretty sloppy, but delicious...only knock was that the bun did not hold up well to all the toppings: beef patty, onion spread, bacon, cheddar cheese sauce, BBQ smoked brisket and a fried onion ring. It was however, cooked to a nice medium rare (just the way I like it). Also, the fresh cut fries were cooked just right and very crispy. Full to the gills, I made my way to the FLW house trying not to fall asleep from my heavenly food coma.

I miss the days when the DJ was never too cool to play your requested song. I miss PBR. I miss smelling like it after some guy, in attempting to score, doused it all over me. I miss scoring beer as a freshman. Of being a senior and scoring it for the under 21's., I miss losing a million and half things at the sko. I miss the townies, that would purposely bump into you. I miss the cage. I miss the Ricks, the Johns, and the Brads. I miss seeing half naked people crammed into the Sko, corsets, and thigh-highs in abundance. I miss it all. The hang-overs, the spills, the come-ons, and the hook-ups. The Sko is also home to some of the best concerts I have seen in awhile. It hosted amazing acts and for stellar prices- that still have me kicking myself as I throw out 20 dollars to see Eek a Mouse or the Black Keys here in SF. It's an Oberlin landmark.

And the club's official name is The Dionysus Disco but everyone calls it the 'Sco, and when I first got here, I was rather confused. It has a nice bar, with many wooden stools, and gives you the best view of the stage (this club isn't very big, so even if you sit by the bar, you have a great view of the stage). I got here rather early (an hour before the show started), and was able to loiter by the bar, have a few beers, and chat with the locals. They have 3 beers on tap: PBR, Great Lakes Dortnunder, and Rogue Dead Guy Ale. Since I didn't know if I would be back in this neck of the woods again, I tried the GLD, and did not regret it. Beer the way I like it: on tap, light, flavourful! But what really impressed me was the $1 PBR. You really can't top that price! They also had a huge selection of bottled beers, and also big beers including Avery The Reverend. I had a sip and wow it had a great hopping aftertaste and a 10% ABV. Needless to say, by the end of the night. my friends were pretty drunk. We came during peak dinner hours and waited ~20 minutes for a table, which wasn't bad. The place isn't too large, and given how good the food is, I can see why there could be a wait. We decided on the jalapeno poppers (June special), onion rings, lemon pepper wings, and two burgers with fries (BBQ ranch jalapeno burger - June special, Hot N' Spicy burger) all to share. Plenty of food for 2 adults and 2 kids to share! We all agreed everything was delicious. The poppers come out super hot, so definitely wait a little to bite into them. Onion rings perfectly cooked and crispy. Wings were plump and had good lemon flavor to them. Both burgers were juicy, but of the two enjoyed the Hot N' Spicy more. Service is friendly and attentive. Parking is available in a small lot directly next to the restaurant or along the street.

She let us know what they were known for (wings and burgers and their rotating specials) and gave my indecisive mind plenty of time to figure out what I wanted. Everything sounded so good! We settled for the golden bbq wings and classic pretzel bites for appetizers. The wings were great and that sauce was delicious! Wish we could find something similar in Seattle. The pretzel bites were good but we were already getting full. He got the Uncle Charlie burger which he liked but said it was a bit messy. He also said the maple sauce on it was unique and a little overpowering. I built my own burger and kept it simple with mayo, lettuce, grilled onions and cheddar. It was really good but I wish I didn't get so full on appetizers so I could finish it. I really liked the pickles that they served as a garnish. A little sweet and spicy action going on. Also the fries are hot and crispy and some of my favorite I've had anywhere. I wish this gem was in Seattle. It seems like a great place to grab a seat at the bar and watch sports on their televisions. They also have some tables available if you want to sit there too. I also liked that one of the tv's showed pictures of their specials. I wish I could go back and try some of their other items. The wraps and sandwiches looked really tasty and I love the uniqueness of some of their combos. If you're in the area and want some delicious food served with a friendly smile, stop in. You won't be disappointed.
