They have a very extensive pub style menu, so there are options sure to satisfy just about everyone in your party. I ordered their brisket burger with a side of fries. When it arrived, I was blown away by the size! This brisket burger was pretty sloppy, but delicious...only knock was that the bun did not hold up well to all the toppings: beef patty, onion spread, bacon, cheddar cheese sauce, BBQ smoked brisket and a fried onion ring. It was however, cooked to a nice medium rare (just the way I like it). Also, the fresh cut fries were cooked just right and very crispy. Full to the gills, I made my way to the FLW house trying not to fall asleep from my heavenly food coma.

The hang-overs, the spills, the come-ons, and the hook-ups. The Sko is also home to some of the best concerts I have seen in awhile. It hosted amazing acts and for stellar prices- that still have me kicking myself as I throw out 20 dollars to see Eek a Mouse or the Black Keys here in SF. It's an Oberlin landmark.

I got here rather early (an hour before the show started), and was able to loiter by the bar, have a few beers, and chat with the locals. They have 3 beers on tap: PBR, Great Lakes Dortnunder, and Rogue Dead Guy Ale. Since I didn't know if I would be back in this neck of the woods again, I tried the GLD, and did not regret it. Beer the way I like it: on tap, light, flavourful! But what really impressed me was the $1 PBR. You really can't top that price! They also had a huge selection of bottled beers, and also big beers including Avery The Reverend. I had a sip and wow it had a great hopping aftertaste and a 10% ABV. I recently dined at Feve restaurant, and I must say, it's a cozy and lively spot. The place was bustling when I arrived, and I ended up sitting at the bar due to the crowd, but it added to the overall atmosphere. I decided to try their fish and chips, and I have mixed feelings about it. While there was an abundance of batter on the fish, it lacked flavor. However, the tartar sauce came to the rescue and greatly improved the taste. The cooking technique was spot on; the fish had a delightful crunch on the outside while remaining tender and flaky on the inside. The real star of the meal, though, was the thin French fries. They were absolutely delicious, especially when topped with fried garlic butter. The addition of the fried garlic gave the fries a unique texture and flavor that I thoroughly enjoyed. In summary, Feve serves up your typical bar food, and while the fish and chips left something to be desired in terms of flavor, the excellent fries and the atmosphere of the restaurant make it a worthwhile visit. I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. read more

I turned 21 in Oberlin, and the Feve was the bar in which I had my first legal alcoholic beverage. Maybe I'm biased because of this, but the Feve still is (and always will be) my favorite bar. The bartenders know me by name, the drinks are nice and cheap, and the music is always solid. They occasionally have live music upstairs, which is cool - however, the acoustics kinda blow. Oops. If you're in town on a weekend, make sure you check out the brunch menu. It changes every week, and features both a sweet and savory specialty pancake. OM NOM NOM! read more
