Deluxe Pizza.
Helene K.

Worked for hours Saturday on Pumpkin Fest displays, decided I was done for the day and not going to cook. Called in for a deluxe pizza and breadsticks, the girl on the phone was a joy to speak with, she took the order, double checked, gave us our time of 26 minutes and said goodbye. We went to pick up our order, my husband was in and out toot sweet. Got home and opened the boxes and the food was amazing. So good. My husband said that there were three girls working and everyone looked happy. I guess everything went well, and I had pizza for breakfast.

Chicken Rice Soup

Called in order for lunch pickup. No online ordering option. Pay at pickup. Parking lot was packed. Food was ready at the front. The cup of Chicken Rice soup wasn't what I expected - look and size, but it was perfect for a cold day. My preconceived thought of a Club Sandwich has toasted bread, cut into quarters. This one was slathered in butter and on a flat top. It was gooey and delicious, but heavy and rich. I could only eat half for lunch and ate the other half later.

Solid food, quick and friendly service, and big portions. Homemade jams and bread from a local bakery too!

The staff is so kind and welcoming. My first impression was how clean it looked and felt. The prices were acceptable for most seniors that love going out and expect quantity for their dollar. Two separate tables near me were splitting dinners. I will own this experience. My perception of this establishment was a little skewed. I had it in my head this was a farm to table experience. THE FARMHOUSE - Local, Fresh, Delicious. No pricing, which further convinced me that it's normal when you're sourcing from local farmers to have price fluctuations. I did not do any further research and continued on. The menu handed to me had a large content of dishes with no theme. That should have grabbed my attention. It didn't. I ordered the smothered meatloaf, with mashed potatoes, broccoli, and extra side of coleslaw. Nothing had flavor. Not even the Swiss cheese. The coleslaw was from a tub. It had that gel slippery texture that is loaded with preservatives. The broccoli was fresh, but it had a strange sour taste. I'm not sure what exactly is made from scratch, but the pulled pork comes from Gordon's. That was confirmed when asked if it was made fresh here, or is it Gordon's. The carrot cake was good and that is made in-house. This review is not intended to ruin a local favorite for many in the senior community. My intention is to bring to attention that this is not farm to table, and the format of the website is similar to The Farmhouse Deli in Douglas, which is founded on locally sourced ingredients and freshly made food. The staff and cleanliness deserves 5 stars. My meal was 1 star. I didn't bring the leftovers for lunch. I don't want it again.

Good solid breakfast comfort food. I wanted to try this place and finally got the chance. Lots of locals and regulars enjoying the company of friends and family here. Solid food and the best strawberry jam that I have had in awhile. I had the Southern Omelet and raisin toast.

This is the 'Zeel' 3 egg special breakfast. The other is the menu and Awesome jamb!!!

The breakfast I had, was 3 scrambled eggs, bacon, hash brown potatoes and cinnamon toast with homemade strawberry jam. The food was ample portions and tasty. The 'scrambled' eggs as often is the case are just a chopped bunch of flatop grilled eggs. That's not really not scrambled eggs, their chopped up eggs. The bacon was a bit chewy. Hash brown potatoes were crispy and tasty. The toast was good. The most outstanding thing for me, was the homemade strawberry jamb! The wait time was longer than anticipated. However the restaurant was quite busy at 9:45 on Friday morning. The wait staff was kind and polite. The ambiance was very nice. New and fresh remodel. It was a nice dinning experience with good but not outstanding food. I recommend it for a nice average or a bit above that breakfast.

Side salad

A very nice simple and rustic atmosphere, with a warm inviting feeling! I ordered the Sloppy Joe sandwich with fries and since I know sloppy joes aren't usually the most filling I also ordered a side salad. The side salad was actually quite large and had different types of greens. Very simply it was an excellent salad. The Sloppy Joe was Outstanding, easily the 2nd best I've ever had. The 1st was my friends mom's, so not available, lol. The fries had a great texture and were very good. The person I was with got the Blueberry Feta Salad. It was very large and pretty. It had lots of blueberries and pecans. It was stated to be wonderful! The portion sizes for the most part was very generous and fairly priced. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food cane out shockingly quickly, though they weren't busy at about 2pm. Overall an easy 5 stars. We will be back. We both stated it needed to go on our repeat list. I highly recommend giving Farmhouse a try!

Cup of chili

You guys. I have joined the ranks of people who eat miniature meals so to speak so my review game has been weak. Today I was so excited to try the Farmhouse for my first time! I went with my amazing in laws for a nice late lunch at 12:45 to avoid the rush. We were greeted by a server who acted like she didn't want to be there. I know, I'm a pro. I'm not only a nurse but I still pick up some server shifts when I feel like adding to my bank account. Any how, she was fine. I wouldn't say kind, but she brought us food. I did hear her snap at a different server about how there's two tables waiting and how she can't go home yet. If this is the owner, shame on you. I had every intention of getting a patty melt with no bang bang sauce, eating a little and taking it home. The server said they had chili and that's what I got instead! So food came out hot. The fam all got a fish dinner of sorts. I can't have fried anything so I didn't get to taste theirs. My chili was hot. Here is where it gets tricky. Either I have Covid and lack of taste is my only symptom, or these guys don't season their food. Now I've said before that this is the whitest area I've ever lived in and I don't know if anyone has ever taught y'all how to season your food, but please. Please take yourselves down to the Carolinas. GA. AL. TX. AZ. All of these places have one thing in common. Seasoning. And people of the non light beige persuasion. That's probably why. If you don't have 30 different herbs, spices, and seasonings in your pantry at all times then I just don't know, but my chili had exactly zero in it. Next time I'm going to bring my own adobo shaker in with me. Not even playing. The one with picante. Y'all gotta check that one out. Two stars cause the hostess was nice.

Pearl sugar waffles with strawberries and whipped cream.

I stopped in for an early lunch while working and discovered only breakfast is served until 11. Since I'm not usually a breakfast fan, I had to find something that sounded decent and settled on the waffles. They were more than decent, they were yummy. The strawberry topping was fresh strawberries in glaze, which was way better than any strawberry syrup or pre-made product they could offer. The waffles themselves were fresh and sweet as well and tasted great with the strawberries. I also had an excellent glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. My total came to less than 15 dollars with tax and tip, so it was an ok price. The initial wait and seating process was a little hectic, but the food was worth it. I will return next time I am in the area.

Options of in the sun or in the shade but beautiful set up inside is a little cozy as well, but can't pass up sitting outside on these beautiful days. Service is great. The gals kept checking in on us quite often and we're friendly throughout. This place is a step up to the bar and order type deal unique but I feel like it keeps everything efficient. The food was pretty good and came out fairly quick. I got nachos for the second day in a row the sauces and salsa were very tasty. I got extra southwest ranch on the side. They do cost a little extra, but it helped add some additional flavor. My only critique would be loading it up more by adding a queso cheese option or additional cut veggies, or jalapeños or guac, but not bad. They also have a very extensive drink less in their own seltzers and in-house stuff which makes it tough to decide what you really can't go wrong. Oh and I forgot we started with the cheese curds which were phenomenal. Definitely continue to look this place up and check it out if we're in the area and would recommend.

Among locals, it's well known that there are two sides to Frank's. One side for daytime dining, and another side for nighttime dining. The food? Can't complain. The service? Wonderful. What you should know. - They prefer cash payment. - Don't sit by the door. It's cold in the winter. - Be ready to order. I also got a Root Beer Shake ($6), it was excellent. Something different than most places, but definitely tastes like Root Beer. The person I was with ordered the Honolulu Blue Burger. This is a burger topped with bleu cheese, pineapple, ham, teriyaki sauce. It was stated to be excellent. The service was excellent. Very friendly even though it was hectic. Overall an easy 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely, I will definitely be back.

We were able to make a reservation online easily and were seated almost immediately. The table was near the open door and it was such a lovely lovely fall night. They also decorated a sweet little postcard saying Happy Birthday to me! I thought it was a very cute personal touch. All staff that we interacted with were delightful We started with some cocktails: I got a Daisy Du and my wife got an Amelia. They were both so delicious! Later I also got a strawberry granita and it was YUM. I am not normally someone who orders cocktails because they are too expensive for my taste and I am generally content without any alcohol, but I wanted something special for my birthday. For apps we got a half dozen oysters and crab and artichoke dip. Both was amazing and we ate all of it. The jalapeno mignonette was INCREDIBLE and such a delicious addition to a standard mignonette. The crab in the dip was real crab and the bread it came with was the perfect balance of sturdy and crispy but soft and easy to eat. We ordered the 14oz Ribeye (rare) and 8oz Waygu Sirloin (medium rare) as our apps. The steaks were cooked perfectly and all the sides/sauces were so delicious. Truly cannot speak highly enough of how delicious these steaks were, like so good y'all. I have been to many steakhouses and have had steaks that weren't as good, but cost more than what we had at BU. I had thought I would get a complimentary dessert because it was my birthday (like it was my ACTUAL birthday), but we didn't get one. We were so full I didn't follow up to ask and it wasn't a big deal. I might have been incorrect in my assumption, but saw it in other people's reviews.

The service was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was kind and welcoming. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a wagyu sirloin that had a red wine reduction, crispy onions, potato gratin and garlic green beans. We also ordered two kids trays which were priced very fair at $9 for the options and amount of food received. Our kids had the fried chicken tenders, grilled steak and picked sides of fries, mashed potatoes and fruit. The kids trays also came with drinks. Since this was a birthday celebration or server did make it special by brining a sweet treat and candle and even discounted my meal! Some things to think about when planning a visit: The restaurant is very loud. Make a reservation! It is popular. Plan parking! The area is full of great restaurants so parking is tough. Paid parking areas are available but limited.
