    Festival of lights

This is for the Festival of Lights 2020 version. This actually was a great way to get out and enjoy the season of Christmas. We arrived around 5 and we were done about 6:15. The wait was not bad at all and we arrived at the starting point about 5:20. It was awesome and they had their own radio station loaded with only Christmas songs. Such a nice touch. The lights were great a visible from your vehicle and you were able to get some great pictures and videos. What I loved was it was during a Bills game and one of the first set of lights was a Bills helmet. I knew it was going to be a good day all around. Everyone was good while driving and made sure everyone had time to take pictures as well. It was a nice night out and we even followed social distancing. Woo Hoo!

I must say that I love the fair! It is my happy place, especially at night time with the lights illuminating the grounds. This year, I was lucky enough to attend on 4 occasions! From rides, to the ferris wheel, to caricatures, to the butterfly room, to the delicious food... oh there's not a thing I would change! Hands down one of my favorite times of the year. I cannot wait to see what next year brings!

A great venue whether you like to gamble or for family fun Hamburg fairgrounds has something to offer for everyone! Special events are hosted year round including the festival of lights and is home to the Erie county fair! Can't forget to mention their racetrack where horses are trained and raced throughout the year. Very easy to find with a large sign. Inside of the venue is always very clean!

Masterson's Garden Center had a honey tasting bar. Yum!

This review is for Preview night at Plantasia held at the Hamburg Fairgrounds on Wednesday evening, March 20. What an incredible event this was! There were tastings, free samples, live music by Gimme Buffet, and beautiful landscapes. It made me feel like Spring is actually here at last! The vendors participating were: Andersons: Sampling plant based frozen desserts & hard ice cream The Aurora Popcorn Shop: Sampling gourmet popcorn Tops: Sampling cupcakes Buttercrumbs Bakery: Sampling little bitty cakes Abbott Road Pizza: Sampling pizza and subs Finnerty's Tap Room: Sampling rueben meatballs Donna's Pepper Jelly & Jam: Sampling cranberry orange jalapeno cornbread, merlot fudge and raspberry riesling cake Great Lakes Coffee Roasters - Sampling various flavored coffees Black Button Distillery: Sampling Black Button spirits This was definitely worth the $15 admission.

I come here each year. Today was opening day with free admission with a two canned good donation to the Food Bank of WNY - win/win! Love to try all the new foods and explore! One of the best county fairs I've ever been to.

There are hundreds of machines to choose from. I recommend sighing up for their players card. New members receive a bonus for signing up. Usually the bonus is free money for the slots and who doesn't like free money. There are several food options to explore. Unlike non-racetrack casinos, they do not offer free alcoholic beverages. However they do offer free soft drinks and coffee. In addition to roaming coffee carts, there are self serve stations. They also sell alcoholic beverages. Go and have fun but gamble responsibly.

They Are Claiming They Gave Out Over 81 Million In Jackpots In 2025 And There Is No Way That Is Possible. That Would Be A Average Of Over 6 And Half Million In Jackpots Each Month Meaning Every Bank Of Machines At The Location Would Have To Hit The Jackpot Each Month And Still They Would Not Reach 81 Million In A Year Of Jackpots Won. They Are Forging Their Jackpot Payout Numbers Very Much Because They Hardly Ever Let The Real Big Jackpots Go There. The New York State Gaming Commission Is Allowing This To Happen And It Is Happening At Other New York Racinos Like Batavia Gaming. Who Claims They Gave Out Over 251 Million In Jackpots At The Batavia Location In 2025, And Their Gaming Floor Is Smaller Then Hamburg Gaming's. So Batavia Is Even Forging Jackpot Payout Numbers Even More. An Independent Group Has To Investigate All The New York Racino's And What They Are Really Paying Out In Jackpots And How Much They Are Taking In Because The New York Gaming Commission Is Obviously Not Doing Their Job Properly Or They Are In On It Too Along With The New York State Lottery. The Jackpot Payout Numbers They Claim Don't Even Come Close To Adding Up And I Have Been Going To Hamburg Gaming And Batavia For Many, Many Years And They Hardly Ever Have Large Jackpots Won . I Have Seen That With My Own Eyes For Many, Many Years!! Must Have A Outside Group Investigate All The New York State Racinos Immediately!!

They have been closing the concession stand right before bingo intermission, which makes no sense at all, as it's extremely busy at intermission. A couple of staff were walking around, spraying and wiping down machines as players left them, and the floor also looked perfectly clean. Sounds good, right? WeIl, the place just... REEKED. We're not talking stale tobacco; it was more like someone had recently filled a trash can with the world's most acrid butts - cellophane included - and set them on fire. Poor ventilation doesn't even begin to explain it, because on the whole floor there were maybe 5 people actually smoking, and most of them were clustered in one corner. I'm a light smoker myself, but after an hour I was just about ready to cough my guts out. As for the slots: IMHO your odds of emptying a box of mice onto the floor and watching them die of seizures before they can scurry to safety are probably better than winning. High-volatility machines overpriced for their crappy payouts. Did far better playing the same games at Hamburg, and that is saying something. Two stars for the staff and their spray bottles, but you're spitting on the fires of hell. Don't want to think about what it's like on a busy night with bingo.

I've never smoked, so I notice cigarette smells easily, and wasn't bothered by it in our room. It *did* reek of cigarette in the lobby and around the casino however. Unpleasant. The bathroom was amazing with a large shower. Very spacious. Room key was needed to access the elevator and your floor, which was great (*cough* The canadian side Doubletree needs this right now *cough*) The US side of Niagara Falls is super sketchy and just for that I wouldn't be in a hurry to return - I also have no interest in casinos so there's not much for me to do here. Staff was polite. Overall I would stay here if I was on that side of the border.

From a hotel perspective, Seneca Niagara has the potential of being a five star destination. This…read moreis our third time staying at this hotel, and things have certainly gotten better since they first opened, but they have not yet achieved the excellence that I expected. The physical structure is very well designed. The hallways and rooms are magnificent. Heavy doors, cash safe in the room, adequate closet space, tastefully decorated with a Native American theme that pays homage to the elements of nature. The building materials used are such that you don't hear noise from adjacent rooms. There is plenty of parking and an inexpensive valet service if you don't care to look for your own space. The front desk staff are well trained and helpful and efficient. Their WiFi is fast with sufficient bandwidth that I was able to get some work done, sending and receiving large files without a problem. The rooms are nicely climate controlled, the shower is spacious with immediate hot water and the pressure is very good. The bed is comfortable, with good quality linens and blankets and firm mattresses. The housekeeping staff are thorough. The elevators move efficiently. They have tight security throughout the premises. All of the above is what they do right. I tried for two days to book a foot massage at the spa. No one answers that extension, so I'm not even sure if their spa has anyone assigned to answer the phones. The front desk - which also doesn't answer their phones so I had to physically go to the lobby - told me to just keep trying which I did without success. One of the reasons we booked at this hotel was because the website talks about their massages. Disappointing. There was no working electrical outlet next to the bed. The outlet that was part of the working lamp was dead. I had to pull my mattress away from the wall to find a working wall socket. There are electrical outlets over by the desk. The restaurants associated with this hotel are just fine. Three Sisters in the lobby has a very nice Buffet breakfast with excellent sausage. Everything else on that buffet is more than adequate. The wait staff do their best to keep your coffee cups filled and to bring you your check and even if things take a little longer than one would expect, we have no complaints about Three Sisters. The Western Door is a wonderful restaurant and we come here frequently and independently of the casino or the hotel for fine meals and properly mixed drinks. There are many little things that this beautiful hotel could do and should do to earn a fourth or fifth star, but perhaps their occupancy rate satisfies their balance sheet so they have no motivation to bring it to the next level.
