I didn't realize my toddler slipped in some random $17 socks, so I went in the next day to return them. I was met with Oscar, he was nice. I asked if I could get a cash refund since it was a small amount, he said no, due to it's based on whatever majority payment method was used. I leave it at that, I am disappointed because I really don't need $17 gc, I would like cash back. As I am walking back I am reading the back of the receipt, where it says refund will be made on initial form of payment, not majority used like Oscar advised. I spoke with my husband who was frustrated, told him what I read and what was said. My husband thought of work around, we can buy a more expensive item, use cash first for the majority and use the gift cards for the rest. So my husband goes in to try that. Oscar explains, no we can't do that, that it's the system gravitating towards a card. My husband points out what the receipt says, Oscar says it shows on the website, but does not bring it up. My husband returns to the car frustrated, because Oscar just lied and instead of asking for helped, insisted on dying on the hill the customer isn't always right. At this point, I'm going back into the store. I see Oscar talking among his colleagues talking about what just happened with my husband. Im still nice, but I request a supervisor. Supervisor explains Oscar is wrong it's not Majority it's just how the system works. I ask him, how does he want to correct this, and he just offers to cash it. It was such a simple fix. Oscar just needed guidance on how to navigate. I felt like this issue didn't need us as many times going into the store, If Oscar just asked for guidance in the beginning. It was frustrating experience overall. I'm glad we got the result we wanted, but just having to go through hoops, and it was a waste of time. Personally for me, this location left a poor taste, just because I am in customer service. I felt like the training could have been better. I appreciate the supervisor making it right.

Sportsman's advertises a price match guarantee, however the guarantee is that they don't price…read morematch. I was told by their customer service if I find a cheaper price online they would match it. I did find the items much cheaper online and when I sent sportsman's the proof, they would not beat the prices and changed their story yet another time. I would also like to add the sportsman's credit card charges 33% interest and they charge $3.50 per month if you choose not to go paperless. Sportsman's charges higher prices if you order through them online. Their in store prices are cheaper, so when sportsman's offers you a discount ( online only) your not getting a discount. They raise the prices online then offer consumers who open a card a discount. I've gone into the sportsman's store in Bend Oregon looked at a safe with a sign saying on sale with the original price of .99 cents higher than the sale price. Honestly just stay away from sportsman's and save money.

None of their locations are great about stocking a wide variety of college apparel (my favorite team anyway), but this factory store is really bare bones. For example, in the kids' section, there is only one type of Ducks football jersey in a couple of sizes and I don't think the prices are discounted much if at all. This was verified the next day at Washington Square Mall. The outlet price was the same as the regular retail store. I always leave thinking they are blowing such an opportunity to make some cash since there isn't a Ducks store between Portland and Eugene.

Due to the time of the year, there was nothing good left online and I was facing the prospect of having to spend an additional $80 on a new pump and having to wait at least a week, or else drive 2 hours out of my way to get a dubious replacement. Matt simply suggested I buy a $10 Adapter (available at any car parts store) to convert the cigarette lighter to one that works off alligator clips - problem solved !! Super grateful to have someone knowledgable and caring solve my problem - who clearly cared more about the solution then making a sale. I highly recommend Matt and Oregon Outdoor Sports !
