All of the coaches are great but I want to give a shout out to Anson Fisk! As luck would have it, I end up in his sessions more often than with other coaches. Anson is very enthusiastic and motivating but more importantly, he sees each person individually and works to correct form when needed. As for community, Krave partners with a local non profit each season (Special Olympics, ARL, etc.) and members are encouraged to participate in an event supporting each non-profit. There are also challenges (just completed a six-week one) and occasionally a social event. To me, Krave is much more than just a gym!

The negatives is that the building is getting up there in age and it shows. Lights need to be cleaned, areas painted and the general paint colors are outdated. But is there any reason that lights in the court are out in addition to the stair master area and held the tv's work. The big positive is that staff is very friendly and professional. So as a prospective looking for an all around health club give it a look and check out Lifetime but do it during the busy hours after 4pm to get a real feel.

Chris is a certified trainer by the Strong First Kettlebell organization. He is patient with those…read morewho have never worked out and is able to ramp it up for those that are seasoned athletes. He is strict on form and makes sure the exercises are being done properly, as to avoid injury and increase strength. He wants the best for his clients and is willing to work with them financially. He provides workouts in his gym, but also can provide you some techniques to work on at home! Very impressive and shows he truly wants you to better yourself. I would recommend his training to anyone who wants to learn different lifting exercise (including kettlebells), increase their overall strength, and learn some techniques to train on your own at home!

After 6 weeks I am down 23 pounds and three pant sizes. The trainers at the South Des Moines location are amazing! Jesse and Fernando are knowledgable, encouraging and so supportive! I really appreciated how they pushed me to set and achieve new personal best goals. I also really appreciated the support and accountability from other Challengers and gym members. I just attended a special workshop (lover's lap dance) here with a friend. It was very reasonably…read morepriced, and was BYOB. We put on something comfortable before heading there, and were greeted by the owner upon entering the space. The owner was very nice, knowledgeable, and fun! The space is really cool. They have a variety of poles, some stationary and some spinning. They have a lot of other equipment as well, so you can tell that they teach a variety of fitness and dance classes there. The owner was there with two other trainers, and they showed us a few moves on the poles while we enjoyed the happy hour social before the workshop started. The workshop itself was very fun! It's a GREAT workout, you feel good about your body, and everyone is extremely body positive and fun to be around. Someone even won a $25 gift card for having the sexiest outfit. It was very fun and my friend and I talked about coming back to try some of their other classes in the future.
