    The Empanadas
    Jo H.

Had this place bookmarked for a while. Finally got the chance to check it out today. Located along Biscayne Blvd., The Empanada's offers a variety of freshly made empanadas at an affordable price. As of right now, they have a promotion: buy 12, get 2 free and buy 6, get 1 free. The type of empanadas made are either traditional, special, signature, sweet, or vegan. There's also sandwiches, ice cream, sauces, cookies, and cold beverages. I appreciate that each empanada is stamped with the name of its filling so you know which one is which. I purchased 7 empanadas: two beef, two chicken, spinach, caprese, and pulled pork with mango bbq. After waiting a few minutes I was handed a box filled with hot empanadas. It smelled divine and yes I took a bite of each one after cutting them in half. I liked them all. Each had just enough filling which was flavorful and the empanadas was light and flaky. These are so good for snacking. Gonna try to visit again to try other flavors

Found this little gem as I was driving through us1 in aventura. The signs outside called my attention. Parking is a bit tight. I had to wait probably like 2 minutes as I had someone ahead of me. Seating outside but not much so you're lucky if you find a spot! This restaurant brings a very unique approach to the Argentinian empanadas with different than usual fillings but with a gourmet taste. The girl who assisted me was very nice and professional and also gave me suggestions on the most ordered items. I took carry out and brought it home to my wife which she loved. Recommend the steak empanada and the cheese and beans one. Go check em out!

I was driving south on Biscayne Blvd when I noticed this little show called "empanadas" I decided to go in. Wow, I am so happy that I did. They have about 20 different flavors of empanadas., each tastier than the next. The ambiance is mostly for take out but they have some picnic tables in the front for you to eat. The ladies working the kitchen and counter were very nice and know their products. I recommend this place highly.

I ordered online for pick up. The shop itself is very small with a few spots for seating outside. It's very cute and I loved the packaging. My online order was right on time. I ordered a variety of 6 empanadas for my coworkers. Everyone enjoyed them. I'd like to mention that they also offer vegan options! Had the spicy beef which was delicious! It had the perfect amount of heat. Chicken and cheese was ok, not my favorite. Next time I'll go with the spicy chicken My only gripe is that the sauces cost $1. I wish they weren't so pricey, considering that the empanadas are already $4 each and not very big

Everything is amazing, very neat feel in the place. The cheese ham and egg empanada was very good. The service was good.

Spicy ground beef, salmon Philly, cheese and regular ground beef. All good, especially the spicy ground beef.

Really great spot for a quick lunch and light lunch or snack. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They made nice recommendations. The food is great too! I tried - Spicy beef empanada - Homemade premium ground beef, red bell peppers, hard-boiled egg and spices including Cayenne pepper. VERY good. Generous with the ground beef amount. This was not spicy at all imo just had a nice subtle kick. 5/5 Salmon Philly empanada - Salmon, scallions, olive oil, chives, cream cheese, leek, cherry tomatoes and spices. This was pretty good. I just feel it was a little heavy on the cream cheese and a little light on the salmon. Would have been nice to see big chunks of salmon in it, but it tasted good and indulgent. 3.5/5 I really liked this place and would come back when I'm in the area. I love that the names of each empanada are on the empanadas. Their dessert empanadas looked delicious and I would be interested in trying those. The only downside to this place is the pricing for each empanada seemed a bit steep considering the size but I guess that's to be expected in the area. Very good overall!

Naked and not fried. Fresh and not frozen. The Empanada's offers fast food that ID much more interesting than those big chain restaurants. I'm giving it five stars in comparison to your other choices. The variety of empanadas is staggering. To test the range, I tried the pulled pork, spinach with mozzarella, onion and egg, beef and the The Cheesy Pampa (ground beef, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese and Atuel cheese, black beans, corn, diced bacon and chimichurri sauce). They were all quite good. Now, this is fast food. There is no place to sit inside, although there are tables outside in the parking lot. And, the quality does not teach that of a good restaurant or homemade. For example, the dough is good but not flaky. Yet, it is good. You will also really like the people behind the counter.

They are so fresh, lite and tasty!!! The best I've ever had!!!! Its a small shop, but they have tables and chairs in front. My favorite was the 4 cheeses.

If you haven't done empanadas, this is the place to train. Fillings are first rate! 25 choices. Juan Valdez coffee machine (make your own). Picnic tables outside.

The food is delicious and the ambiance is cozy and you don't need a giant restaurant chain to pack a punch like this. Highly recommend the spicy beef empanadas.

Luv how they stamp the flavor on each empanadas

Amazing, delicious and unforgettable. Amazing service, I pre-order a dozen for a gift and was ready for pick up as promised. While I was there, my staff wanted me to pick up some for our office. Unexpectedly I need it 18 assortment and they had it ready for me in 10 mins. Thank you!!!

The most delicious empanadas! They have SO many different kinds that cater to everyone's cravings. Anything from your classing spinach and spicy beef to vegan ham and cheese or even smoked salmon with leeks! I picked up 8 for Father's Day along with the Italian sauce (highly recommended)! I also picked up some alfajor de maicena - shortbread cookies with dulce de leche filling rolled in coconut. I didn't get to try all 8 empanadas since I had to share with my dad... it is Father's Day..... but the ones I did try were so delicious. The favorites of the day were the caprese, vegan seitan and spicy beef. I will definitely come back. My family got mad that I only brought over 8....

I was eating my yummy cauliflower pizza in this small strip mall. Then, I noticed the cute little shop in the corner. The store is small but had so many different kinds of empanadas. It was hard to choose one. I got a Caprese one. I liked the flavor but felt not enough stuffing inside. More dough than inside. Most empanadas are $3.5 each. The store just opened according to their Facebook page. The place is clean and if you want to try all different kinds of empanadas, check this place out!

We had two breakfasts here as well as drinks and dinner. The food is top-notch. Good little surprises, like the use of guava instead of maple syrup on the French Toast. My husband and I ate one dinner here. The seating host promptly seated us at a spacious and clean table, but our server was away for an extremely long time before taking our order. I stopped in for lunch after a work meeting and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. I needed a "steak break," so I opted for the "I Can't Believe It's Not Carbonara"--and I have zero noodle regrets! The zucchini substitute combined with a delicious carbonara sauce meant there was no concern about the lack of traditional pasta. The zucchini more than filled the role, and I certainly appreciated the caloric savings. The chicken was also well-cooked, flavorful, and moist. I especially loved the tableside delivery and the unique touch of being served directly from a colander. The order isn't huge, which I appreciated, it felt the right size for lunch without weighing down your afternoon. Now, there were likely no calorie savings with the Serrano Ham Croquettes, but they are small and easily shareable if you want to spread the love. They are a true step up and a legitimate treat compared to run-of-the-mill mozzarella sticks. The decor kitsch continues right until the end--the check arrived in an old-school lunchbox! The staff were great throughout the meal, making for a seamless and enjoyable lunch.

Rebecca responded with a very unpleasant attitude, saying, "We don't put sugar in the cortadito."
