I loved them both, for different reasons: the beef was very beefy (haha) and savory, and the mushroom was more veggie-tasting and light, despite the cheese. The previous Yelper on here commented about the price, but honestly these are very large - you could get two if you are very hungry, or one for a snack or light meal, IMO. I only wish I left more room in my stomach for dinner ... I'll have to have these tomorrow for a snack or small meal! (my hotel room has an oven, luckily!)

Our table ordered a milanesa sandwich, milanesa a caballo, gnocchi with pink sauce, and matambre. The matambre was excellent: well seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. The beef milanesas were also tender, but, in my opinion, they were sliced a little too thin. In the sandwich, the tomato ended up being more noticeable than the meat, and since I was expecting the milanesa to be the star of the dish, I was a little disappointed. That said, the bread was fantastic. The gnocchi were good overall. I really enjoyed the pink sauce, although the pasta itself seemed just a bit overcooked. To finish the meal, we ordered cappuccinos. They were wonderfully creamy, though I personally would have liked the coffee to be a little stronger. The medialunas were excellent--fresh, soft, buttery, and delicious. To top off the night, I took home a box of ham and cheese tea sandwiches (sándwiches de miga). This morning I toasted a couple for breakfast, and honestly, it was the best part of my day so far. Finally, the service... it felt unmistakably Argentinian. Warm, genuine, and welcoming. Thank you for making us feel, even if just for a little while, like we were back home. The place was absolutely adorable and was fully decorated for the World Cup, which gave it such a fun atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by an incredible selection of empanadas and pastries. They had everything from savory options that would make a perfect breakfast or lunch to beautiful sweet pastries that looked so mouthwatering in their display case. Since it was so early in the morning, we weren't hungry yet, so we just ordered our café con leche to go. The coffee was exactly what I was hoping for, and even though the place got pretty busy while we were there, the service was quick.
