Came here on separate occasions for breakfast and dinner. Croissant and coffee was good. For dinner the complimentary bread was warm and fresh. Had the spinach soup, pasta, and shrimp which was decent. It's a small cafe with outdoor and indoor seating.

This should be a four star review, but for one thing. The food itself was good. But when we got our check, they'd included a gratuity/service charge on it which we almost didn't catch. On the bottom of the check are suggested percentages and also a blank tip line to add in a tip. That would have been double tipping! Now there were just two of us and there was no notice anywhere -- the menu, a sign, verbally -- that the tip would be automatically added in. In fact, we might have tipped more on our own. This just rankled. There was no separate lunch menu. So if you scroll past all the up scale entrees, you will find the quiches, crepes, and sandwiches, etc., for a lighter meal. I ordered a half sandwich and soup. It is not a combined item on the menu. When they brought the soup it was a much larger portion than I would have liked. The soup of the day was tomato. I had a few spoonfuls but didn't care for it. I did not tell the staff that. Figured I'd just pay for it anyways. On the other hand, the half sandwich I had was very, very good. On half a crusty French baguette, there was prosciutto, mozzarella cheese, tomato slices, and a basil pesto. The bread alone (it is a bakery) would be worth coming. And you can buy it by itself. My girlfriend ordered their Caesar salad which was a bowl of romaine with croutons and even a couple tomato slices. It was prettily presented in a square bowl. She could not decide on which salad dressing, so they nicely gave her a taste of 3 different ones on the side. Her favorite was the balsamic vinaigrette. It was not anything special, but was exactly what she was in the mood for... Btw, we came here thinking they were connected to the Oakland Park (Fort Lauderdale) restaurant of the same name. When we asked about that, we were told there was no connection. It's tiny inside, but we chose a table there for the air conditioning on such a hot day. There are a number of outside tables doubling the restaurant's capacity. There is parking in the lot in front which does get quite busy, but with a little patience you will find a spot.

Lovely late morning breakfast. Coffee and orange juice were delicious. We had the oatmeal with fresh fruit and an eggs benedicte. Excellent. The Canadian bacon and English muffin were "toasted" and the hollandaise was delicate, the eggs perfectly poached. The house potato side was delicious (I don't know what the seasoning was) even though they appeared unappetizing. My favorite though was the baguette to go which I enjoyed, very much, later on the beach. I will return, you should try it

This French bakery+cafe continues to bring a little of Parisian culinary culture to South Florida. Tucked in the corner of a small shopping strip, I'd be willing to wager most drive by never having a clue of its existence. The French already have a place on the Mount Rushmore of cuisine. There is nothing ground breaking being done here, but when you do French well, there's no need to reinvent wheel. Traditional French pastries are baked fresh throughout the day. Tasty sandwiches on freshly baked baguettes, and even dinner items like the popular moules frites(mussels and fries). Am I really that old?! Been coming to Rendez-Vous for what seems like forever. After all these years, 3 things remain: 1. Authentic and consistent quality 2. The owner is as friendly as ever 3. The location is still strange Rendez-Vous is certain worth a...well...rendez vous! That's of course if you don't drive by it.

Disappointed in my quiche with salad. The salad was old and wilted and tomatoes not ripe and the quiche was probably made a while ago and heated up. Sat at the outside tables that needed a good cleaning along with the rest of the place. The tip was added to the check but I did not notice and tipped again. The server was nice so I didn't go back.

The first time I visited Rendez-Vous Bakery was a few years ago when my hubby and I visited South Florida. I was so impressed by the food and service that I fell in love with the place. That night our friends invited us out to show us some places in South Florida they thought we would like. We pulled up in the parking lot and noticed they were dining outside. The weather was warm and inviting. The restaurant was quiet with just a few patrons. We joined our friends for a night of endless mussels, fries, and white wine. It was my first time trying mussels and I loved it! (FYI - moules (mussels & fries) marinieres dish is seved all you can eat on Mondays and Fridays.) The texture, taste and the fact that they were endless made this my go-to place for mussels when I moved here. They have two locations, one in Oakland Park and this one. I've never been to the one in Oakland Park but I hear their service and food is really good as well. It's a french bakery cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They offer patio seating at this location. The restaurant is small inside which adds to a cozy dining feel that feels like you're eating at home with your family. It's family owned and operated. The menu and wine list are extensive. I'm sure you'll find a dish or two that'll keep you coming back for more. Hubby and I decided to celebrate our 19th anniversary here with friends just a couple of months ago and we had a great time. We made reservations for a Sunday morning to sit outside. It was beautiful. We started with a bottle of wine, and then another and then another. Before you know it our tables were filled with laughter, great conversations, food, and wine. I knew it would be an excellent choice to celebrate such a meaningful day with people we love.

Very hospitable people who are willing to accommodate. Walk in and be greeted by a large case of French baked goods and products, as well as muffins, cookies, etc. The experience can be whatever you want it to be. Tried both the turkey and cheese croissant (which is served with a nice little salad and balsamic), as well as the blueberry muffin. Both were great! Quality coffee as well! Two others on my trip swung by and gave the cinnamon roll and ham, egg, and cheese croissant high marks as well.

I had the Paris which is essentially a jambon beurre (ham, butter and cornichon pickles). My strawberry croissant was filled with strawberry jam (I wasn't sure if it would be crème pâtissière or not), but still tasty. The new owners are hardworking and it shows. They were delightful and I was happy to support their business. The ambience was nice for a strip mall. Once inside you're more focused on the food anyway. I'd love to go back to try more pastries. Your taste buds will think you're in Paris!

Very friendly server, I believe his name is David from Moldova and the food was very good. We had the herring and potatoes, Caspian salad, and the veal liver shish kebabs (if you know, you know). The decor was absolutely amazing. Comfortable seats and clean silverware, I pay very close attention to that. The only thing I would say is that the Singer lacked energy, she just didn't entice or influence anyone in any way to go and dance- shame. There is a singer that used to work at the pulse restaurant in Aventura that close down, he would like this place up. Half the restaurant was full.

Very Delicious!…read more The fact that I was allowed to eat indoors instead of on their outside patio although I was wearing shorts and beachwear, and still received excellent service from Anastasia secures the 5th star. I was in the shopping plaza at its neighbor the pharmacy to pick up last minute beach stuff when I saw Art Priori. With the name, I thought it was an art gallery but noticed the menu outside. Anastasia welcomed me and I sat at a very comfy banquette room while listening to chill downtempo edm to enjoy my lunch. Although it wasn't listed on the menu, I started with a refreshing glass of moscato. Its light sweetness was perfect to set the vibe for a beach afternoon. My appetizer was a serving of "Dates a Cheval". Art Priori amps up the classic bacon wrapped dates with a generous serving of goat cheese. The tanginess of this cheese is a delicious balance of the date's sweetness. Although it was a beach day, I was feeling fancy and not just looking for a burger (which they do have on the menu). Instead I enjoyed their Pozharsky cutlet. Served on a bed of mashed potatoes and chopped mix veggies, this is ground chicken breaded in cracker crust and flavored in a mushroom sauce. I enjoyed the original presentation and flavor. Topped with fresh berries and a light drizzle of honey, a yummy medovik (honey layer cake) closed off my very tasty lunch. This Eastern European classic is a must have!

I had the Montreal smoked meat poutine. The food was delicious, it wasn't as good as Schwartz's smoked meat, but it was close enough considering that we are in Florida and that smoked meat doesn't exist here! Isabelle our server was super nice, she was efficient and professional. She came more than a few times to ask us if everything was fine. The ambiance is comfortable. Why four stars, it's simply overpriced! My bill was 27.00$ and my friend's 33.00$, that's 45.00$ Canadian for a smoked meat sandwich, a small poutine and a coke. It's frankly exaggerated! Best of luck next summer when the snowbirds will be back home. I'm American, the currency rates don't affect me, but for Canadians, that's another story. Now for my French Canadian friends!
